Sounds like a very compelling way to get people to download and install an app.
Who pays $97.99 / year for this.
Did not work on first few attempts on Play Store but worked after using small caps.
Great app, after installing and trying this I realized that I wasted so much time photoshopping backgrounds out of images as Photoshop's built in AI tools are no good and always leave extra bits in or cut out parts of the subject. With this app all the edges are super clean and I don't have to do any more manual work anymore!
Promo code in UPPERCASE on my Android didn't work. All lowercase worked.

The Promo Code link everyone keeps mentioning does not appear on my iPhone app even after deleting and re-downloading 3 times. The Settings > Account option doesn’t work and neither does going to Learn More option first.

probably not but it has been around for ages and is more of a traditional editor.
that white backgound effect on iphones is a bit of a novelty though.

I applied the code 30mins after the deal was posted and given there is no “lifetime” option, I’m genuinely curious what the actual deal is given my app still says Pro but it’s only for 3 days.
Both my old (did not create an account with Pixelcut, only downloaded the app and claimed the code) and new (account created for Pixelcut) iPhones do not show any trial period for the Pro subs.
I’ve checked it again today under the Subscriptions in the App Store and I can’t see any trial period for Pixelcut listed
Yeah I'm failing to see what the deal is also - especially considering some people lifetime deals are being reneged. The deal wasn't live long.

I think if people didn't sign in before applied the promo code, it won't remember it because no account to remember the subscription.
@superforever: It should be tied to your Apple account (or whatever platform you use) like other apps. Maybe it’s a bug
I never signed in, I can see my status is still pro. I guess I won’t use any feature which requires me to sign in then!
@johnnytran: I am thinking if you didn't sign in the Pixel app to apply the code, it won't create the account with https://www.pixelcut.ai/ and it won't remember your subscription under that account.
I don't think you applied the code correctly, I did this on multiple devices\accounts and never received an invoice.
I did have to kill and restart the app for the pro to show.
Mine is still on pro and hopefully stays that way because this app is fantastic. Really helpful with eBay listing images and other photo editing. Loving it.
Got the Pro deal using the code, signed in and created account using same Apple ID & email as for App store, now 3 days later, says it’s about to expire.

My app still said pro, so I thought I'd test to see what would happen if I logged out. Going to 'My Account', it said I had the basic version. Clicked on sign in with my Google account and it's back to pro. No subscriptions showing in Google Play either.
To their credit they have replied.

Anyone got charged a fee for this app recently. I got a 4.99 deduction through apple payments but the subscription does not show up on my app store and hence I am not able to cancel it as well.
At least on Android its very clear if you are entering into a payment or subscription. You didn't need to do this for the app on Android so its not possible for them to bill you.
He probably accidentally started a trial on the subscription before he got to the screen where you can enter the code. If you go into icloud settings there is a one screen overview of all apps you have active subscription with and can cancel them.
Anyone had a malware notification show for this app. The app updated in google play store then I got a notification in Oppo antivirus it detected malware in the app. Had to remove it but quite concerning. Maybe check your phone's also
I doubt oppo antivirus can actually remove malware inside an app unless your phone is rooted.

It just removes the app. I've been using oppos for years and did scans for all google store apps every once in awhile it uses Avasts anti virus database so if it found something in that app wouldn't be surprised. Its just a concern people should look out for. Oppos can't be software rooted it's pretty locked down. Let's hope it's not a wide spread thing. All I know is this app ain't worth the hassle. Especially considering some peoples lifetimes licensing are being cancelled also for no reason.
Also just an update got a response from the developer. They are saying it's most likely a false positive and have raised the report with avast. There are other comments on the play store about the virus detected also so should be fine.

I created login before I claimed it, still said Pro on my phone, don't want to try to uninstall and reinstall.
Lifetime access has been revoked. Mine returns to basic. Cannot restore purchases. RIP

Worked for me all lower case, with or without signing into Google/Apple account.
If you want the Pro features attached to your account, better to sign in first, then redeem code (don't need to enter any payment details, if you get that, you've missed the redeem code screen).
If you have signed up for a subscription with pending payment, you'll need to cancel the subscription I think, you have set up subscription before entering code.
