Does this come with an AU plug?

    • +3

Yep. It's AU stock from Panmi (Xiaomi AU distributor) so it's all good. "EU" in the listing means that it's the global version and not the CN version.

      • Thank you! 🙂

Sorry no I was mistaken. Rep has told me that it comes with a converter as the plug is built in :(

bought this device back in Nov for just under $100 from another seller. It is a compact EU version but it has a cheapy adaptor included. the adaptor and plug will take a fair bit of space if you have a shelf in front of the plug. also it doesnt hold firmly with adaptor on it. if you move the wire, it may fall out from the adaptor. thats just my personal experience. maybe i need to get a better adaptor.

I have this same experience, I have to set my side dresser against the plug or it will fall out.

      • If it's a 220-240V unit just change the plug to an AU plug?

        • dont think so. the EU plug is bulky and has the electronic stuff in there to convert the current (i think). i dont think you can cut the wire and install a standard plug from bunnings. its like those big black bulky plug from some devices.

@dtingy: Ahh you must be referring to the transformer, so the unit probs needs DC power in. If it's a standard barrel plug, you can read the DC output voltage and current and buy a cheap AU version on eBay.

      • Xiaomi Mi Power Strip is a good option. Uses the CN plug compatible with AU sockets and the power board itself will take EU plugs.

        • Thanks. Let us know when there is a good deal.

      • Gotta agree here, I was looking for something to replace it at JayCar after experiencing the same problems with my unit from November but couldn't find anything. The unit itself has been fantastic otherwise

Thank you for sharing. Been wanting one for my office!

How do these compare with the ikea ones which are $99 (and ikea filters are $30)?

Is it just me or are the mini filters equivalent in price to the full size and pro mi filters?
I would imagine the full size filter gives a better cost due to increased capability?

    • I'd like to know this, I have a big one but I'm considering getting a mini one too

just wanna do a shout out for daikin air purifiers..
(specifically my MC707PVM replaced by Daikin MC70LPVM)

i bought one about 14 years ago.. and I'm still going through the filters it came with.

it does a great job in any size room.. is quiet.. and you can adjust the sensitivity (at most sensitive, it will ramp up at a farts notice).

it has various stages of filtration.. all cleanable except one.

also.. there are decent non-genuine filters you can purchase for it on aliexpress ($30 would prob get me another 10 years or so).

(p.s also they can be almost completely dismantled rather easily if you want to do a deep clean.. you can tell they were designed with great care)

Thanks for this recommendation. Was looking for a specialist air filter, and it comes with 7 years’ worth of filters!

    • you can adjust the sensitivity (at most sensitive, it will ramp up at a farts notice).

As in, it literally detects the reduction in air quality and cleans up the air!?

      • yeh it can detect dust particles and smells. you can''t control their sensitivity independently.. but it will display the detected levels of each.

at most sensitive, it will ramp up immediately if I happen to let one escape perhaps 4m away.

i have atopy/severe dustmite reactivity and it has helped a lot.. the fart thing is just a bonus.

(p.s. I am speaking about my model.. I assume the replacement model does the same)
(p.s. you can disable the detection mode.. and just keep it on L/M/H)

Does it use the same filter as other Xiaomi purifiers? e.g. 3H or 4

    • Nope since it's a smaller. Already linked in the deal.
