I can't even see the 8 slot watch box in the link. Maybe it's the same as this one in the thumbnail which I bought in 2018 & very happy with it.

Curious how many watches does OP have? Probably needs a shed for them instead?

    • +4

Here is a pic of my watch box. Just kidding, I stole that off Watchuseek.
I try to keep it to around 10, not including my cheapo beater watches, they don't count.

  • Would the glass top one be okay for keeping Citizen Eco watches charged in a spot that gets a little bit of sunlight?

    • +1

I never put them in direct sunlight for a long time, heating your watch up while it charges doesn't seem like a good idea.

They don't need it anyway, you could keep them in the watch box near a window in the shade & they should still get enough light.

  • How are the pillows inside the compartments when it comes to wrapping watches around them?

Are they the soft/plush kind or are they fairly rigid?

I find a lot of larger watches (i.e. chunky G-Shocks) just don't work with the watch pillows provided in these cases and they have to sit in the compartments as is, with their straps fastened.

    • fairly rigid

  • I miss the wooden boxes :(

    • Yeah this pleather box doesn't exactly scream good quality (or good taste)

    • Buy one from Aliexpress then - they are about $20 more than this.

If you really care about looks, for something that will last you for at least another five years - I think the extra is justifiable.

      • I have a cheap one that has lasted years anyway….. But the solid feel of the wooden products just feels better….. Still might grab one of these…..

  • Mmmmm….. where are the usename checkout addicts?

I will never understand how someone needs so many watches

    • I gather you are not married

      • Not sure of the relevance of that tbh.

    • that's the thing about the watch collecting hobby…you never knew what you liked until you saw it

      • Ah. So a hobby.
        An expensive hobby.

I think I’ll stick to cheaper hobbies tbh

        • all hobbies cost money. a real ozbargainer wouldn't have any hobbies, full stop.

there's no requirement for you to spend heaps on a watch either - i've got a bunch of $25 q&q solar watches in a variety of colours and can swap out straps between them if i feel like it

    • How many are so many though ?

      • -1

I have 2 wrists. Only need a watch on one.

Sure.. things like a diving watch for diving, a practical every day watch, a nice watch for going out with (if that’s so important to some one).

But having multiple ones for fashion…
Cmon.. we’re on ozbargains. Not ozhobbies.

  • Do they fit large gshocks? e.g. Gravity Master or Rangeman?

  • Any cheap cases that can hold 12 watches

The reviews for this one are mostly positive - $26.99.

Note - As per usual with Amazon descriptions there is conflicting specs on whether the lid is glass or acrylic. At this price I'm guessing it's acrylic.

Who on God's Earth needs an 8 slot watch box….. Oh, that's right, I do!!!!

  • good deal, but i think it's not the greatest quality/looking one.
had a browse through today at the local aldi, they were still heaps unsold
was a hard pass for me

Just bought this and after putting one watch in I'm going to return it. The watch pillows are too narrow for each slot so any watch is going to bounce around and knock the others. The watch pillows were just everywhere in the box when I opened it up. Probably just gonna go amazon/aliexpress and pay a little more.
