    brave man posting this

What makes U assume I am a man?

      • +1

        Perfect
Though I reckon most posters here may have been assigned male at birth.

Great people are books now also..

      • Did you see his username? :)

  • +3

Jack inflation - hardly a bargain nowadays

  • +10

No more beetroot at HJ as well… they should just close down

    • That's right‼️.. No more Aussie Burger. The whiners must've whinged about it being on the menu. They should bring it back.. the best burger they ever had. And should do so in bringing it back, as it's different than any other menu items of Burger King around the world.

  • +2

Deals are getting more and more pathetic with every new release. No thanks

  • +2

Everyone trashing HJ saying the deals arent even that good. While Maccas small cheese burger meals are $7.30 and you cant even get coupons…

    • +5

I'm sure if they did have coupons like this they would be trashed just as hard.

    • +5

Maccas app offers much better incentives to purchase from maccas, regular 20% off coupons ($40/$10.50 min spend) plus bonus points which basically will give me free purchase with most of my purchases, HJ's shake and win rarely comes up with anything of worth at the time of purchase

    • +5

If you're ordering a small cheeseburger meal for $7.30 instead of a small cheeseburger happy meal for $5.45 that's kinda on you tbh. Combine that with the regular 10% off $5+ I get ($4.90) and add on a free coffee (Student Edge over $4) + get 490 points (2500 gets a free large coffee or other items). You can also swap to thickshake from soft drink at no extra charge in happy meals. Macca's are just a lot more places and it's not hard to see why..

      • Thought you couldn't combine student edge deals with app offers… last time the cashier wouldn't let me 😑

        • The cashier must've been the manager or something, I've always been allowed wherever I go. Could be a strict Macca's or maybe a recent change in policy?

      • How do you regularly get 10% off $5+?

    • Yep. I rarely eat at HJs now, but I almost never eat at Miccy D's. Even with special deals and stuff, it's usually set up to be worthless. Like a big mac for $3. Great.. but if I'm eating big macs I want at least two. Or some fries or something. I'm not going to make a special trip just for one burger, and I can't be bothered doing the multiple account/drive thru+instore thing.

My new burger obsession is the Red Rooster Red burger for $4. Man, that's good, and you don't have to worry about apps or anything. Shame they don't do any decently priced drinks at RR, but I can work around that.

      • +1

I still find it incredible (and incredibly annoying) that there's no RR in Melb CBD.

        • Well, there's no RR in Sydney CBD either.

    • -1

Just buy a Happy Meal for under $6. Bloody Tight-arse.

  • +6

HJ has always had meh quality but it had cheap prices , now its just bad quality. 2 whoppers for 12 dollars aint it. I can spend a few dollars more for a pub lunch special instead.

    • You're right on there!

  • +6

Used to visit HJ frequently when the prices were better, now last visit was probably more than 15 months ago. Well done hungry jacks!

  • +2

Two veggie burgers on the voucher used to be $5 for ages :(….. it $12 now. And whatever they did to the original burger has ruined the burger completely.

    • +2

      Veggies are the new meat

      • +2

        Soylent Green is vegans!

    • +1

If you open the app, click order, then under 'Jack's App Deals' scroll to the right and you should see Vegan Whopper Cheese for $5. It's been there for a while, hopefully it is on yours too.

  • It's been a very long time since I went to HJs. Can you just cite the deal without actually bringing a physical coupon?

    • +9

      Phone is fine

    • -1

You can show the picture of the coupon, on your phone and they accept it.

  • Their $2 coffee app offer expired as well, too bad. It's pretty decent from Burwood store, at least for the price

  • +5

Coupon prices now are just what it used to cost for full price.

  • +1

Have not been to HJs for a few years now. Since they stopped including the 2 x chicken burgers deals on the coupons and started charging extra for spicy sauce add-ons.

  • +2

    Is fone fine?

  • Phone is fine

  • Bring back Hungry Jacks!

  • +1

Where’s that person who used to setup accounts continuously to get free whoppers every couple of days on their “birthday’? Their method might be worth something now

  • can you use this for DriveThru

  • I just had a quick look at the deals posted on these vouchers. Seems like the updated price jack make it out as these deals looks to be trash. I'll stick with KFC thanks, even though there's no vouchers for KFC meals.

    • You can do their surveys for a free chips and drink at KFC though.

  • +2

Medium Iced Coffee for $3 isn't so bad. No sugar syrup in there either.

    • Especially considering it's still in the midst of summer. In a cooler season, I wouldn't see it as so good.

  • Salamander Bay NSW should be opening it's Hungry Jacks before these expire

Looking forward to some bacon deluxe love

  • +1

These are not offers just pictures of very average burgers…..nuggets are even worse!

  • +2

Thx HJ for increasing price every 6 months. Made to stop eating junk.

  • bring back the $3.95 bacon egg muffin + hashbrown and coffee deal!

$10 for same meal is not a deal

    • +2

It's not the same meal, Jack's Brekky Roll is some heavy grease bomb with brioche. Got one for free from Shake n win and having that first thing does not set up your day for success lol. Not really any sauce, just a big stack of oily shit.

Bacon and egg muffin on the other hand is made with English muffin, sauce and a more appropriate level of oil.

  • +2

It looks like that's the price we paid without a voucher a few years back.

  • +2

At the bottom it says they are hiring, and that they have "better work-life balance". Does this mean WFH whilst serving drive-thru?!

  • +3

App deal $5 whopper Jnr cheese small meal is the best I think.
I always order 2 and some times when I got a free drink or chips through Shake&Win it much better.

    • Yep! That $5 app deal is my go-to lunch when I'm out 😀

I used to use the breakkie coupons on the way to work in the morning, they are nearly double the price now 😳

  • we decided mid 2022 to boycott majority of fast food / takeaway - just feel like an idiot handing over money for sub-standard food / convenience. Even if we were earning 500k a year I wouldn't buy it BUT majority of people obviously are otherwise the businesses would 1. lower their prices or 2. close down.

    • Well I still see fast food as a hell of a lot cheaper than standard restaurants.

A burger and chips and most cafes/restaurants is $25+

      • -1

That is so true. Sad but $6 for a Whopper (2 for 12), is way cheaper than any café or restaurant I've been to. But the worst thing of all is that if you want to make burgers at home it's only marginally cheaper as well! 500g beef is at least $7, buns, tomato, lettuce, onion, sauce. Lets say all up at the very cheapest it might also be $12 including the condiments, and that's if they're all on special. And you can only make like 3-4 burgers, but you have to spend an hour driving to a shop, shopping, driving home, unloading groceries, cooking, and then cleaning. It begins to make the decision for you doesn't it. No wonder there is a health crisis in Australia.

Imo, there ought to be perhaps more government intervention into prevention of price gouging by supermarket monopolies on fresh foods (including meat). Forgoing GST on some products isn't preventing the big dogs from just upping their prices anyway. Yeah, $7 a lettuce, no worries. $9/kg tomatoes, all good. Pay farmers correctly, make a small margin, and deliver the products to the people for a reasonable price.

        • I am not sure the supermarkets are gouging on the price of meat.

In my area, the butchers shops are 20% to 50% more expensive than Woolworths for pretty much every cut of meat they sell. You can argue if the quality is the same or not, but on price Woolies bone my local butchers by a large margin.

There isn't much in the way of a fruit and vegetable place here, but my visits to Harris Farm tell me that most things not on special at Harris Farm are also cheaper at Woolies.

I guess it depends if you have got a good cheap local butcher / greengrocer or not - we don't.

For example, in Kotara the butcher wants $50 per kg for lamb cutlets that are $30 to $43 at Coles/Woolies. He wants $79 per kilo for frenched cutlets which are ~$50 per kg at Coles/Woolies.

      If I were earning 500K I'd hire a teenager 2 days a week to wash car/clean house/mow/cook.

  • Thanks OP, upvoting because HJ prices without these coupons are insane. Inflation or not, am sure even a couple dollars savings through the coupons are helpful for people who want to go to HJ.

  • Do you have to print these out or just show this photo ?

    • +3

Showing the photo is fine, but tbh mate, I've barely ever been asked to (especially in drive through), just quote the deal - "May I please have the 2 Whoppers for $11.95c deal?" and should be all gravy.

      • +1

Pretty much my experience at drive thru too

As long as the deal is current they normally have it on the register. If its expired or very rare they may ask you to show it, but otherwise just quote the price and they'll honour it without seeing the voucher 98% of the time.

  • Does anyone actually know when they stopped doing the Survey deal? Getting the free small drink and chips was the last real good fast food deal going imo, and surely the cheapest regular deal you could redeem anywhere when paired with a $2 BBQ Cheeseburger (now $2.50 grrrr). A small bbq cheeseburger meal for $2.50 is still decent though.

To preface this, for about 3yrs I had just jotted down 6 random numbers on the top of the receipt and never had any issue redeeming (previously spent the time actually doing the survey until I realised they barely ever even took my receipt). Not super relevant to my upcoming question but just an FYI to anyone who didn't know or wants to increase their laziness levels like me!

Back in August I was in Sydney for work and redeemed my receipt survey deal from the circular quay HJ's 3 times over 3 days with different people, no worries. Then on day 5 just before leaving I tried again and some manager gave me the unnecessary 3rd degree that 'we don't do this anymore' and seemed to get quite angry. I told him they had literally done it for me for the last week but he refused so I refused to eat there.

Anyway, since being back in Brisbane, I have redeemed this survey deal multiple times, and as recently as about a month ago? But everyone is telling me its been discontinued for ages? What is going on here? My URL for the survey I had bookmarked actually throws a 404, I just checked, and freaked out, but then I trimmed some of the fat from the URL and this page is still working? Plus on the bottom of receipts it is still saying you can do a survey? Pls someone, help me understand! Is this deal still going or is it scrapped or is it in the process of finishing up and maybe I've just been lucky enough to find some employees who don't know/ care? TIA

    www.myhjexperience.com/

    • +1

Second half of last year (I was the one who reported it as expired, IIRC).

I was able to redeem it even with Shake N Win burgers too, so $1 for a small BBQ cheeseburger meal.

They still gave me the free chips and drink anyway for a while after the first time they told me they no longer offer it, but eventually kept saying no. Would always use the same receipt in my car to show them, very rarely they took it off me (if they did I'd just quickly do the survey again with a new receipt).

So yeah it seems for sure that you're just getting lucky with the employees not caring/knowing that it ended months ago.

    • tbh the survey was always shit as you had to buy a full priced burger
could usually get a deal for far less

  • Here for the melts

  • -1

Even maccas is more healther than thsi crap lol you might as well eat a tub of lard

    • +2

Yeah because the portion size at Maccas is so small…

      • So.. bigger portions of worse food? Sounds completely responsible.

    • I have the opposite experience. A could squeeze grease out of maccas cheeseburgers, HJ has shown more mercy to my arteries.

  • +1

    135+ upvotes…

…but so many negative comments and reviews on pricing and vouchers posted, what am I missing?

    • Upvotes are for notifying, comments are to let some steam off.

  • so can i print this out and use it?

    • Just show it on ya phone
Theres a better copy always on frugalfeeds

  • Is there a single person enjoying their "vegan cheeseburgers" that taste like an overkill amount of mashed potato dipped in oil and served with sweet bread?

    Rebel whopper is great tho.

    • Not me, I have tried them long time ago. There was a vegan burger there i tried last that had 2 fritter patties and that was not nice either. It's best to steer clear of all fastfood because of the harm it can do to your health.

      • +1

Yup, that's exactly what they call vegan cheeseburger.

And then it might be good to steer clear from most of restaurants as the common trick is to serve food with way more oil, so it tastes better. Like, it's not just fast food - it's most of the restaurants. Ingredients might be better quality, food is prepared fresh, but oil is dripping.

        • Yeah I know, you order steamed vegetables then pour they oil over them and serve it, I think they have to do it or people won't come back because everyone is used to eating high fat food they might say the food does not taste good.

  • $3 for a medium iced coffee isn't too bad, is it?

I went to a local foodary(ampol) the other day and their $2 iced coffee is jacked to $3 now.

  • Is there a way to use these offers via the app? Not sure why they don't give a code that can be entered via the app equivalently.

  • Rebel whopper is not whopper!

  • I stopped going to HJ after one time during the lockdowns I got home and it wasnt even luke warm. couldnt go back due to curfew. They offerred a free meal a few weeks later but quality has gone down hill.
