Xiaomi Mi Portable Air Pump 1S $59.16 ($57.68 with eBay Plus) Delivered @ southerntech-0906 eBay

For those who missed out on this deal can pick it up from this store instead for a slightly cheaper price.

The Xiaomi Portable Air Pump 1S is a small and powerful air pump for taking with you on the go or having as an emergency spare in vehicle. It has a flow rate of 15L/pm, goes up to 150PSI, can be set to PSI or BAR, has USB-C charging and an inbuilt light.

I personally use one of these to check tyre pressure on my electric scooter every week and it fills them up to 50PSI no problem. I've tested this with larger 14" and 16" EUC wheels and it takes a few seconds to fill them up. These are good for bikes, mobility scooters and even topping a car tyre in an emergency, but don't expect it to fill a completely flat car tyre quickly.

These aren't for filling up air mattresses, paddleboards, beach balls etc.

  • does this have a flat tyre option like at the servos? would come in handy if im stuck and just want to get home in the next 10mins (slow leak) to change tyre or if a second tyre goes flat in the middle of nowhere

    • I be keen to know the answer for this question too

    • no, think of it like a bicycle floor pump, but smaller capacity and battery powered. It is a fixed volume every stroke of the piston.

Eventually you'll get it (car tyre) pumped up and to the PSI needed, but don't hold your breath waiting for it. You won't get high volume delivery out of this ever, it's not that kind of device. Which was mentioned in the OP.

    • just change to a spare tyre or can't then call nrma / road mechanic

driving with a tyre that has a hole is dangerous and bad for your car.

only do this if you absolutely have no choice, like in a desert or something.

It is better to regularly check your spare tyre is in good condition.

I bought one of these recently to use it on my motorcycle. Good design and easier to use than my 12V Air Compressor.

  • Anyone managed to use this for an inflatable SUP?

    • +1

I started adding to my description that it's not designed for this.

      • I wanted one for my SUP, thanks for the info

  • Sorry this is a stupid question

But can I use it as a portable air pump for keeping fish alive. Planning on house moving and will need them transported for a 30 min drive

    • +7

I don't think this model comes with the fish head attachment.

    • +1

Yeah, it's isn't that sort of air pump…

If you need to transport fish that far you can move them in bigger bags of water, or less fish per bag so there is more water per fish. Could also make sure the water is very well aerated before you seal the bags up for transport.

    • usb air pumps can be had for much cheaper than this. Useful to have around the fish room as well.

I run a small USB air pump from Ebay, it's about the size of an old film canister, very small. Makes nearly no noise. Run it full time connected via a small USB power bank, connected via a USB 240v plug. Can run a small air stone with no issues and when the power goes out it auto switches to the power bank. Would be very handy for use case.

    • is your fish tank really large, that can't be moved with the fish in them?

worst case just give them mouth to mouth.

For the benefit of any EV owners, I have this specific item and highly recommend it. I keep mine in the car and it charges from the USB port in the centre console.

(I say EV owners, since we don't visit service stations, and its handy to have something portable so you can check/top up while at charging stations - obviously nothing different about the tires!)

I always get strange looks when I take my Tesla to the petrol station. I'm just there for the good cheap coffee.

      • Couldn't agree more. Just bought this when 20% cashback was on. Hopefully it should be good. Reviews seems good. Light will be helpful on camping trips along with powerbank.

        • +1

Being 20l/pm it'll be quicker than this too. Seems pretty good for the price given the power bank functionality.

Hey mate, the listing shows a few adapters. Do you know if one of them is an adapter for a Presta valve for bikes?

          • +1

@tomsco: It says it can do bikes. Not sure about presta though as I am not familiar. Maybe someone else can advise. Sorry.

            • @ace310: Too easy, regardless, cheers for the reply :)

That said I have a diesel and I keep this in the glove box… handy if you get a slow leak or just want to top up a tyre to save waiting at a servo. There's always some numpty that takes forever. Plus for the first time ever I can actually inflate a basketball and footy accurately.

  • +1

Thanks, been thinking of getting one for awhile.

Will be handy to gauge tyre pressures more accurately. My floor pump has a build in analogue gauge, I think it's reading low. A decent gauge that can do Presta valves would cost $30+.

Also a great alternative to portable pumps and CO2 cartridges.

    • I think it's a bit too big for a saddle bag/storage bottle. I'm also looking for alternatives to portable pumps and CO2.

      • +1

Maybe consider a small frame bag, the kind that straps to head and top tubes, or hangs off from top tube and straps to seat tube, but the later may rub as you pedal.

I use a MIK compatible truck bag, so space if fine and can remove quickly.

  • Got one, thanks Clear

  • my only real complaint is that you cant change the preset modes.

The knock off ones at 1/2 the price are pretty good if you can wait for AliExpress

    • Perhaps it's charging postage?

    • He bumped up the price $2.55

Maybe he was losing money $57?

  • Grabbed one, thanks OP.

  • Can this be used for air mattress, basketball or outdoor inflatable pool?
    TIA

  • Still seems very expensive for a pump 😅

  • A pretty handy device. Got one for my motorbike and works pretty well. Fills air fairly quickly considering its compact size. was able to pump up 2-3 PSI in about 30 seconds.

  • Expired now but for anyone waiting for a future deal

Used it for mums neglected corolla, was able to go from a mix of 18-24psi up to 36 all around.

Also had a QLD trip recently and a slowly deflating tyre (puncture the night before leaving) and it was great to just have in the car in case I needed it. After a week at accomodation I was about 10PSI low and it was brilliant to be able to inflate in the hotel car park and go from there.

I now don’t let it leave my car, too handy to not have around.
