Crazy to think the 3070 Ti I purchased just over a year and a half ago cost $49 less than this whole system…

    • -8

In all fairness, 1.5 years is a pretty long time for price changes for IT hardware. If you bought the 3070Ti 6 months before the next iteration, then it's at least 2 iterations behind now so not surprising at all.

      • +6

It's generally around two years between each generation.

    • +4

      I paid $1350 for my EVGA FTW3 3070 - it still hurts

      • +2

        2700 for a suprim x 3080ti

        • Dam - paid $1,699 for an Asus ROG Strix White 3080 the second they hit Aussie shores in Jan.
Paid $1,521 for an RTX 3090 (MSI Ventus)

    • At least you got use out of it in that time mate. I paid a premium for my 3060ti build form Aftershock, have used it daily since Covid and don't regret it at all (gaming for few hours a night).

      • Oh that's exactly right, I don't regret purchasing it at all; hasn't skipped a beat since I've owned it and it was a huge upgrade from the RX 570 I was using.

    • -2

Yeah but the rtx 4080 is twice the performance of the 3070ti. The price aint wrong dollar for dollar excluding competition from AMD/Intel.

Hey mate, got anymore budget builds coming up? I missed out on the last Ryzen 5500, RX 6600 :((

  • +3

Have you got anything at the $1000 mark? Missed the 6700xt deal last month

  • +4

    ETA for delivery?

    • Give it a month, ordered on Jan 20 and haven't received any updates yet

      • +4

Probably worth giving the deal a miss. They really should provide an ETA so you can decide what's the best deal.

        • +11

Lack of decent delivery (or transparency) has been the factor in me not chasing any of these deals. Techfast is a bit of an oxymoron IMO.

          • @RangaWal: Customer satisfaction has declined significantly over the years. They never specify the exact brand parts you are getting. For example it list msi b550 but what series b550? Just untrustworthy. Time to move away from TechSlow

Bought on 16th Jan and order is still being provided.

      • -3

Ask for refund before it arrives DOA in 3 months time

  • +1

This is basically my exact build I've had for 3 months.

Total beast at 1440p . Can 4k with dlss

  • +1

I paid 750$ for my 3070ti FE . Bit power hungry but fits my itx build nicely

  • Hello Luke, I’m very interested but I would like to upgrade the cpu. Can this be done in a custom order?

    • Btw can someone give me some advice. This is my first desktop in like 5 years and I want something that will be fine for the next 3-5 years. My budget is 2k.

      • Your better off waiting for a 3080 deal.

      • +1

        There's been 4070ti deals around the $2k mark !!

  • Hi OP are there any different cases as an option with this deal?

    • -3

Probably not. You just get the cheap ugly one

      • You really need to see a surgeon to get that chip removed from your shoulder.

        • -1

          Phark u nell

  • -3

Just got the 6600xt recently for only $270 and it's only slightly slower than this card lol.

    • +1

Given Here the 3070ti is significantly faster than the 6700xt, I think you might be thinking of a different card.

  • +1

Not sure I'll be recommending techfast any more, after recommending them to two mates who've both had mediocre experiences. First one ordered before Christmas with a few customisations and has only just received the build. The other bought the 6700xt build, without customisation, and he's been told they're only building it now and will be shipped in a week or two. They're good value, but definitely wouldn't recommend if you need a PC in a pinch.

    • Guess it’s what u get for such good value. Is bpctech the same?

      • Bpctech took 5 days for me

  • +2

Has anyone received their order from the January deals yet? The deals are decent but maybe they should prioritise the previous deals before putting out new ones?

    • Awaiting since 16th Jan. No ETA yet

    • have they taken money?

      • Yes, paid in full

    • I got my shipping notification today for my order placed on the 20th. On the 14th business day so within their estimate, but only just

      • +1

Thats great news for you. There's hope for the rest of us.

  • Op, wondering if you can do the same spec parts but in a mini ITX case like a CM NR200.

  • Trying to work out if it's better buying the below:

    • 2nd hand CPU upgrade
    • 2nd hand 3070 gpu

And upgrading my system with the above - or just buying this pre-built machine and selling my old system on marketplace. Thoughts anyone?

    • What's your current system?

      • +1
