  • Unfortunately this can't be used to recharge.

    • if my plan is expiring can i port out and then back in with this deal?

      • +1

        Yes. Done this myself.
Find the cheapest SIM you can from anyone else.

        • same here. how long after porting out can i port back in?

          • @jussie2000: I waited 24 hours, but I don't know if it can be done straight away.

        • Please tell which free sim(or $2 sim) can be used for port-out/port-in now? optus and vodafone $2 sim have to recharge when activation.

          • +4

@jmmjbb: Telstra $2 SIM; there's the option of recharging later.

Someone recently posted that they tried to port back into Boost after 25 days, but couldn't. Support told them there's a 30 day rule.

            • @Colin2905: ok thanks might port to kogan for 30 days then port back in.

          • @jmmjbb: Optus have a "pay per day" option.
Since they've already leaked my information, this is a good option.

          • +2

@jmmjbb: If you use live chat, vodafone $2 sim can be activated without recharge. Fill in the port in form after activation.

      • besides porting, how you guys going to manage those new numbers?

        • +2

I have a cheap 365 days Woolworth mobile for 2x 10% off on groceries each month. I buy these as new number to supplement my data usage. After it expires, I just chuck them out.

          • @Jetkuma: thanks

          • @Jetkuma: Right! So obvious. That escaped me completely.

          • @Jetkuma: Does woolworths still give you 10% off for an online order as well as another 10% off in store in the same month please?

            • +2

@karmduit: You have to do it online first and then in-store. If you do instore, you can't use it online. It has to be in that order.

    Just in time! Thanks.

    Thanks WN and BG

Thanks OP. Got 1 for next month and my 4th so far. The first 1 from 3 months ago got paid last week.

  • can you use the same email as previous boost accounts?

For the first time, my order didn't track for cashback with this deal.

    • Yeah, mine hasn't showed up either in my Rewards History but I wonder whether it's just being processed…

    • mine showed up instantly

    • The tracking came through just now!

    • First time for me that this type of deal has not tracked

  • -1

    No esim no deal.!

    • I use amaysim for esim, and then can use the physical sim from boost etc

  • +1

    Thanks!

  • Just in time! got one

  • I get a "Sorry, we are unable to process your order. Please try again later."

Is anyone else having this problem?

    • Ordered just fine now. Though I have had this issue randomly in the past and couldn't get around it, sorry. Wasn't due to the 2 per day limit.

      • So must be me then. I've never ordered any Boost SIMs before (never been a Boost customer), so I don't think I should have hit any limit.

Edit: Just tried it on another computer and it works normally.

  • Cashback tracked within 5min for 2 the sims i just ordered. Thanks CR!

    • Lucky you! Mine didn't track at all. Might have to send in a claim later.

    Boost seems a bit 'dodgey'.

They have been doing 'site maintenance' on the activation page at night, and I haven't been able to activate my sim.

It works now..but….I'm now stuck on the contact details page.

Says "you can't change your details", but the only option is continue..but goes nowhere? Possibly because i'm using an alias [email protected], and it can't handle it?

    Anyone got any ideas?

In summary, I haven't been able to activate my sim in 30 days.

    • It won't be due to the +boost@ bit, I use that all the time and is not the cause. To save yourself a headache, just call them and get them to activate for you.

Online Boost registrations are shocking and 80% of the time these days I have to call them. They are fully aware of it. In fact and slightly off topic, if adding a second Boost Number to one's existing account, you "have" to call them. It's ridiculous and I suspect a major breakdown between what they use as their sign up page and Telstra systems. Telstra need to create a better back end system for Boost activation's.

      • A good way to avoid paying a valid cashback if you cant activate!!

But yeah, it does try to load into the Telstra portal when it fails.

I will indeed need to call (which i will need to activate a free Kogan sim to do, as I left it to the last day to port over yesterday..and my old plan is now expired).

First time I have used Boost… so far… 1 star.

        • FWIW: Their support is quick and they are helpful so shouldn't take too long.

      • Haven't had issues activating second boost Sims.
I often have the Sims overlapping.

The issue with info not matching is that you might have had an old Telstra account: if that's the case the name and email need to be the same as that Telstra account.
After I consistently used my email that was known by Telstra, I didn't have any activation issues anymore (as in having to contact their live chat).

  • Just bought 10 mins ago but not tracked, I remember it used to be pretty quick.

    • Still not track as of now

      • follow up cashrewards support, they had to help me last time to get it tracked

  • Mines not tracked yet, usually instant.

  • used cashrewards app, not tracked yet usually instant, only bought one.

    • same issue here

  • Look like it is not just me with the tracking issue

  • Same problem as everyone else it seems, been an hour and a half and still hasn’t tracked

  • Same experience this time, no tracking yet been an hour+

    Edit: just got tracked

    • Mine is still missing :( probably need to lodge a claim after a week.

      • Hi tidie.
Unsure why there's a few comments re untracked for this promo as we can certainly see many sales reporting to members as they should.
        But please don't worry.
Simply lodge a claim via your click history after 7 full days have passed, and we'll take care of it for you. Any issues at all, simply PM me (TA is on leave for a couple of weeks).
        All the best : )
        minita

        • Hi Minita,
Thanks for the reply, I will keep an eye on the status. Normally CR app tracks boost mobile deals pretty well, thus I am a bit concerned this time.
          Cheers,
          Tidie

          • @tidie: I submitted a claim today think it might take some time to come in

Edit: Got an email saying would be contacted in 5 days

        • Hi minita, shot you a PM about a prev Boost Mobile deal that didn't track (even though my click-thru did). Thanks.

  • I got an email within 1 minute of payment confirming it's been tracked

  • Tracked in under 5 Mins for me….. just now.
Method: Used PC and Firefox, not CR App. Just noting in case issue is App related.

  • +1

Used android app and has not tracked. - Update has now tracked

  • +1

must be some jam there, I got tracked for the second one then bought the third one tracked in few second, use app was because pc won't tracked for me, app was recommended by tightarse.

  • Tracked in under 3 Mins for me
Method: Used PC and Edge, not CR App.

  • Second one tracked, first one didn't… I'm guessing there was a glitch this morning…. Will have to lodge a missing cashback for that.

anyone know when I try to activate always fail..?

    • I had the same issues when I was signed in first, or on vpn, so I just made sure I was logged out and it works for me.

  • Impressive, the credit showed up in my cashrewards account in less than a minute from completing the order

    • Credit or click history? Credit only comes through when activated, no?

  • I was thinking of buying one of these for when I get back to Australia, but unfortunately Cashrewards blocks (via Cloudflare) access from residential IP addresses here in Spain - any reason for that? I can access Cashrewards via a VPN, but then get the 'please try again later' message from Boost.

    • I only assume boost also block access from overseas or via VPN somehow? You can contact boost support for assistance.

      • Worked just fine last year from Thailand, where I didn't need a VPN to access Cashrewards. If only Cashrewards didn't block access from Spain, I'm sure Boost would be fine. In the meantime I guess I'll wait for a Shopback / Boost offer - more chance of this happening than Cashrewards unblocking Spain.

  • My Cash Reward still hasn't tracked. I've made a few purchases on other sites after that has tracked instantly.

    • Same, I assume when people say theirs is "tracked" they mean it's in "pending" and not just have it show up on "click history"?

      • Correct.

  • Looking for cheap data for my laptop. Think this deal will repeat soon, or similar?

      • Oh wow, am I right in seeing that there's been something very similar posted every few days in February? Not as frequently in Jan though. Guessing it's been going on for years like this?

Also, am I right in saying if you pick up two from the deal, activate one immediately, then wait until day 28 to activate the next one, that's the most you can max out each deal?

        Thank you!

        • Yes, has been on sale like this very often, not always with (same) profit though.
I wouldn't say every few days, but every few weeks, yes. My backup phone has had free data for a while now.

You can pick up multiple but only 1 per transaction.
Start process again for 2nd, 3rd etc.

          • @johnmelb: Can I theoretically buy like 12 though next time it's active, and have a whole year of data on my laptop? Or I can only really get two, one for the start of the month and one for right at the end? Otherwise they'll expire, right?

            • @snoopydoop: You have to activate within 30 days timeframe from order, so no you can't stock up for a year
