Robert F. Kennedy Jr rubbish…… no deal.

Truly impressive first post OP. You waited 6 years to post the holy grail of negs

    • or a possible hacked account to spread misinformation and division

This is an official document from the Health department of NSW (official stats of the last 2 weeks of December 2022)

    https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/Infectious/covid-19/Documents/…

Take a look at page 4, table vaccination status (admitted to hospital admitted to ICU, deaths)

    • +1

post it as a free ebook deal

    • +1

This was essentially seen in other states before they stopped publishing such data.

Mirrored in the UK, USA, Israel…..and the list goes on.

      • Yes, the data in every country shows 20x more Covid deaths per unvaccinated person than per vaccinated person, somewhat remarkable considering unvaccinated people are generally younger and healthier to start. Vaccines help your immune system, they’re not nearly so useful if you’re already immune compromised by being old/undergoing cancer treatment etc.

If 100% of people were vaccinated you’d blame every illness on the vaccine, and the vaccinated would be 100% of deaths.

The vast majority of people are vaccinated especially the elderly and the sick. They’re going to die more even of things like car accidents.

    • +5

Really poor attempt at understanding data.

When almost everyone is vaccinated, especially in the elderly groups it is not surprising at all that vaccinated would make up the majority of cases.

For any given age, take 1000 vaccinated and compare them to 1000 unvaccinated. You cant get that sort of retail from the report you are linking to.

      • Look again.

The majority of cases ending up in ICU and dead are, the vaccinated.

It is clear and evident that the injection does not work and the long term affects are unknown.

        • +5

          That isn't surprising.

You are missing the point. You need to compare groups vaccinated vs unvaccinated.
When one group is ~100x larger than the other and you are not adjusting for group size then how on earth do you think you are being accurate?

        • +4

The majority of cases ending up in ICU and dead are, the vaccinated.

The first dose vaccination rate for ages 16 and over in NSW is 95%.

The only way that they wouldn't represent the majority of cases in the ICU and ending up dead would be if the vaccine somehow made you more than ten times less likely to die.

It is clear and evident that the injection does not work and the long term affects are unknown.

May 18th 2020 was when the first data from COVID vaccines was first released. That's a pretty long amount of time now to figure out if people are dying at higher rates because of that, especially as you claim.

I mean we have probably figured out it doesn't make you ten times less likely to die, so I'll grant you that.

          Also it's spelled 'effect'.

There's been 65 million doses and 14 vaccine related deaths identified by the TGA. Meanwhile there's been 11 million COVID cases and 20000 deaths due to COVID. No one is saying that the vaccine is 100% safe, but it's a hell of a lot better than the alternative.

Same thing with airbags, they won't stop you from dying, they may make things worse in some specific circumstances, but they save a hell of a lot of lives and lessen injuries.

          • +1

@quink: Thank you for the spelling correction;)

With a bit of digging, you will find this data is mirrored all around the world and in higher numbers.

Finally, if you look at data from low vax % countries ( high percentage of unvaxed population), you will see that the death rate of the un-injected is not exponentially higher, as it should have been per our medical "experts".

In the end though, people will do and believe what they want. So I don't particularly care if someone wants to continue to get their 3 month doses or not.

            • +1

              @ArchietheBold:

Interesting. I've done lots of digging in the past and didn't discover anything like that. Must be looking in the wrong places. Can you provide me some credible links to those statistics so I can become as well informed as you? It's possible, since the elderly and more vulnerable are often prioritised for vaccination but as covid is 3+ years old I'd be surprised if that was still the case. Alternatively covid-acquired immunity might be at play, there might be a younger population , reporting might be more problematic etc.

Perhaps you're mistaking the stats, as quink tried to explain?

              Anyway, links please?

              • @Igaf: No.

In reading your comments in this "deal", it is evident where you stand with regards to all this and you obviously know best. As I said to your mate above, I am sure you are more than capable to find your own information, if you chose to do so.

                All the best.

                • +2

@ArchietheBold: Such a common pattern. No understanding of basic math and "yOu dIsAgReEd, tHe BuRdEn oF pRoOf Is On YoU

                • +2

@ArchietheBold: So I'll take that as confirmation you have no data or evidence to back up your statements. That okay with you?

There must be some semi-confirmatory data around because early on I recall one figure (which was a snapshot in time) showing only about a 7x multiplier. Can't recall which country, or what the country's vax % was so it was a very raw number, but not "exponential".

                  All the best.

                  • @Igaf: This is a response to you and @ihfree,

You can both take it as you like - dismiss anything I said or even make any assumptions about my understanding or education. I don't particularly care and it's not skin of my back :)

It's not my job to provide you with "Hard Data". It is there and readily available if know where to look and know how to recognize it. It's also not my job to convince you of anything. You both made your choices and I sincerely hope you don't come to regret them.

                    • +1

@ArchietheBold: Your posts mark you as either a dupe or an active disinformer. The former is unfortunate but rectifiable, the latter is irrational and unreasonable, although it's possible you may grow out of it as you get older.

                      • @Igaf: You really made me lough out loud with that comment!

                        Thanks for the laughs :D

Now, off you go and collect your payment LOL

                    • +3

@ArchietheBold: Ok, moving up to a earlier comment of yours it appears to be more an issue with education. The data doesn't say what you think it does.

Here's a quick and imperfect car analogy to help you understand If there are two cars:

                      • Car A has an F safety rating and 100 on the road
                      • Car B has an A safety rating and there are 900 on the road.

Car B crashes 50 times and car A crashes 25 times. Which car is safer?

                      Hint: 25% vs 5.5%

Likewise, it's not my job to convince you of anything. Best of luck. Hope you don't come to regret your choices.

                • @ArchietheBold: Here’s the data you don’t want to find. I can only assume because reality conflicts with your fantasy universe.

        • +1

You might want to look again yourself. The majority of cases are 80+ years old and died in hospital with a COVID diagnosis in the preceding 14 days.

No where does it mention that they died from COVID.

      • -1

I didn't make any conclusion, I only shared a link to official data.

When you say "everyone is vaccinated, especially in the elderly groups…." you are concluding something that cannot be proven true or false because the data doesn't show you age and vaccination status together. The data does shows you that no one unvaccinated was admitted to hospital netiher ICU, no matter the age group.

        Another link:

Official link from the CDC and VAERS (The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System)
        https://wonder.cdc.gov/controller/datarequest/D8;jsessionid=….
In Group results by: select Vaccine type and click search.
Then search for Covid in the results (there are 2 types)

        Another one: Florida VAERS
        https://www.floridahealth.gov/newsroom/2023/02/20230215-upda…

Hope those links help. Again, official data, you can make your own conclusions

        • You are using data from potential adverse vaccine events to show no one unvaccinated was admitted? Literally you’re using a data set in which the condition for being on it is being vaccinated…, ah..,, lol

  • +9

Antivax nonsense shouldn't belong on OZB.

    • +5

Why just ANTI-vax nonsense, why not any nonsense? Prejudiced bias is the enemy of all truth…
What about ANTI-consumption stuff, does that belong given the science says we've only got 10 years left to live?

    • +2

Young athletes with good health condition randomly have a stroke and died after injection of a certain "vaccine" is nonsense?

      • +1

This is a totally new phenomenon that never ever happened before covid or covid vaccines, right?

        • +2

Not at the numbers happening now.

But I am sure it's purely coincidental right ;)

          • +1

@ArchietheBold: Everything is a coincidence and conspiracy nonsense until the TV tells me what to think

          • +2

@ArchietheBold: It's not happening at statistically significant rate.

Whatever you do, please don't link me to a paper that uses a blog a source.

            • +2

@DogGunn: "Statistically significant rate" according to you?

Oh, I wont be sharing any links with you. You are obviously intelligent enough to find the information yourself.

              • +2

@ArchietheBold: No according to the statistics.

As for sharing links, I'm glad you won't, because if I see another link to Peter McCullough's trash piece that cites blog posts as evidence for the deaths of young athletes, I'm… nevermind

                • +2

                  @DogGunn: Mind sharing the statistics?

@ArchietheBold: What statistics? I'm not here to prove a negative.

You're the one that made a claim that sudden cardiac deaths in young athletes "at [larger] numbers happening now."

                    • +2

                      @DogGunn: I thought so.

@ArchietheBold: Triggered? We all ought to be triggered by active stupidity and ignorance but I'm doing no more than answering the bullshyte parading as "opposing comments", including yours. That okay with you 'mate'?.

                            • +1

@Igaf: Oh I definitely agree with you regarding stupidity and ignorance. However, it's detrimental to your physical and mental wellbeing by constantly being triggered. It really is no good for your health, particularly your heart.

So, I learned to ignore people like you. Today has been an unfortunate exception.

BUT, I don't care what you do so, Carry on….mate :)

@ihfree: Well, it's actually very clear by his interactions in this "deal" thread that he is emotionally invested.

I have not paid much attention to your contributions so cannot say but I could take an educated guess. Given that you have questioned my education, math's skills and now implying my apparent ignorance.

                                  Anything else?

                                  hahaha

                                  • +1

@ArchietheBold: Even if they are "triggered", it's understandable. It's honestly quite sad meeting someone lacking basic understanding.

It reminds me of meeting someone who couldn't read an analogy clock.

To be clear, I'm not saying there aren't questionable aspects to the whole thing but what you have focused on is demonstrably wrong.

                              • +1

@ArchietheBold: A few hours playing with and rebutting the comments of credulous cookers on a deals website is "constantly triggered"? Sure you might feel a tad dirty after being exposed to lies, ignorance and incredible gullibility but that's a small transaction cost.

                                • @Igaf: Reverting back to name calling again?

Very classy. Your family must be proud.

@ArchietheBold: Cherry picking again. Why don't you have a crack at answering some of my questions, or justifying your comments with credible data. THEN you might get some respect.

                                    • @Igaf: I see you cannot resist the compulsion to respond.

It's actually rather tragic as the more you post, the more you reveal yourself to be exactly that witch you have been pitting yourself against. Perhaps that is a reason why you continue your activity in this deal.

Oh the irony! I genuinely feel sorry for you.

That your attempt at (ironic) humour?

I had left the discussion but got notification of your again ironical "personal slight". If you ever have the inclination to have a reasoned discussion, back your opinion with data or respectable analysis, I'll be happy to engage.

This might help you understand why I respond. Feel free to ask valid questions: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/13418645/redir

@ArchietheBold: You've just shown that you can't interpret data or think for yourself. There are plenty of other examples where cookers understand rate but not for vaccines for some reason. It's a prime example of groupthink. When you're challenged on rate without fail you either stop responding, lash out or, criticise the data. Even looking at your posts it's clear that you are more of a follower.

Feel sorry for yourself or just use that energy to think/improve yourself.

                                        • @ihfree: Your assumptions and conclusions keep getting better and better!
Specially as your 'contributions' here scream of group think, compliance and herd mentality.

I suggest you take your own advice and use the 'energy' of responding to me on yourself.

Repeating what you're repeating basically makes you an NPC.

                                            • @ihfree: And I suppose continually responding and talking to an 'NPC' makes you a ……. ??

For a supposedly aware "player" you really don't get it. Finally, although I regret descending to your level and labelling you as being part of a herd, it appears that my assessment was correct.

Therefore let me make it easy and clear for you :

I will not be responding to any more messages here so I suggest you move on and bother another "NPC".

@ihfree: The irony is palpable. After all that did you get the impression that he now understands basic statistics surrounding vaxxed and unvaxxed hospital/mortality rates? That furphy miscomprehension has done the rounds for so long i thought it was "dead, buried and cremated."

                                                              • +1

Either way, it's not a good look and an indication of poor character. Even their claim of being a medical professional is dubious and if they are, specifics matter.

I'm guessing this particular NPC didn't have a great resource allocation to begin with.

                                                          • @ArchietheBold: Looks like you won that round @ihfree

And look, how cute and predictable the comments above are. The irony and cognitive dissonance is palpable.

Pretty much proves some of the observations I made regarding these esteemed fellow Oz bargainers.

I'm told it's one of the recommended terms in the wilful ignorance playbook, along with woke etc. He can now cross that off the list and apply for his membership. Okay that's harsh, he's doing his best.

How many of these cases have happened… versus the tens of billions of shots that have been injected to date?

        • What's this, an ends justify the means philosophy? Surely that's always been the ethically correct choice throughout history….

          • +3

@mgexiled: No. It's more a "Run-away Trolley Problem" here. Governments have a responsibility to ensure safety and health of as much of the population as they can. If the "run-away trolley (tram)" is to kill one person versus killing a lot more people, then anyone making this hard decision will save the more people.

That is the unfortunate reality of life. Of course, the right process is to ensure that all risks are minimised to ensure minimal amounts of negative effects or deaths in this case.

      • +2

Did the article you read have any statistics or sources that compare death rates before and during the pandemic?

Without context or verification of their causes of death, yes it is nonsense. How many, what did the autopsies reveal?

Workmate who ran marathons and was as fit as a fiddle died suddenly while out training. Pre-covid. Autopsy revealed undiagnosed and apparently asymptomatic heart condition

  • Not holding my breath for admins to revoke all the inappropriate Neg votes (like they do for most other items), but a good reminder that a free book or ebook still constitutes a bargain.

    • +3

What's inappropriate is suggesting that a scion of a bunch of bootleggers who got rich has an opinion that negates the overwhelming opinion of every nations' qualified and experienced health professionals and organisations when it comes to assessing the work of a highly qualified medical practitioner with over 5 decades of service through many different political administrations.

I'm certainly holding my breath when near cookers.

The self-serving foghorn who cobbled this screed is a threat to my and my society's health.

      • What like WMD's? Or interest rates not going up to where the youth of today live debt trapped?

Is it possible that "the science" could be controlled by money just like everything else?

I don't see many politicians screaming out to scrap the 2-party system for upgrade, so why not, where's all these alternate opinions and how can they ALL be censored? Could it be that money silences most?

People getting rich off of others ignorance is the name of the game in this society… so why attack just this aspect of it and not the system as a whole? Why just sit there as a victim abusing others instead of trying to promote their growth?

I’m going to let you in on a little secret…

The GREATEST THREAT to have ever existed is the unacknowledged IGNORANCE within that carries on unaddressed, for it simply doesn’t CARE for its own growth, and thus the betterment of culture.

The SECOND GREATEST threat to your life is existing in a predatory and capitalistic medium where innocence, ignorance and the human condition is fair game for POWER, meaning corruption is allowed to unaccountably condition all en masse as it pleases without thoroughly being questioned… at that point, your so-called "democracy" flies out the door!

The THIRD GREATEST THREAT – Not knowing the primary and secondary greatest threats while you sit there pointing out there at all the negative end consequences of living like this.

I hope that helps on your cooking travels… for aren't we all cooks in the end?

    • Not holding my breath for admins to revoke all the inappropriate Neg votes (like they do for most other items),

I bet $50 would change your mind… Have you had your flu jab lately, as the MSM reports most haven't making them you guessed it ~ ANTI-Vaxxers.

You do realise most people are full of shit full stop, as most remain deeply ignorant and deluded in nature due to their conditioning?

      • +7

It's February. Most people don't get a flu shot until April/May. What a stupid argument.

          • +3

@TheCOOK: Covid and influenza are two different beasts as most understand. Flu is FAR less transmissible.

Flu was almost non-existent in our country during "peak covid" (winters of 2020,2021) so doctors weren't pushing shots.

      • +8

" Have you had your flu jab lately,"

The one that's assessed and tested by the Australian authorities at the start of the next flu season?

For obvious reasons, no - in much the same way I haven't celebrated Easter this year.

Have you had your flu jab lately, as the MSM reports most haven't making them you guessed it ~ ANTI-Vaxxers.

Find one article and post it here. I did a quick search of Google News and can't see anything over the past year.

        • The proof is there IF you really want to find it…

Early shot… why wait when the experts are saying get it - does that make you an ~ Anti-vaxxer? Would for Covid.

          11% (2022)
          https://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/health/health-problems/aus…

"A new report released on Monday revealed that Australia has recorded almost 3000 influenza cases so far this year – it’s highest number of reports since 2019."
"The 2022 influenza report card highlighted the country’s low influenza vaccination rate, representing only 11 per cent of the population.
Children under five are considered high risk and eligible for free vaccination yet only 3 per cent of this age group are vaccinated against influenza"
"Just 30 per cent of Australians aged from 65 years have had their government-funded influenza vaccine."
"Chief health officer Brett Sutton said Victorians had skipped two flu seasons “and it’s probably not front and centre in people’s minds”.
“All I can say is don’t wait for those flu stories to arise, that will be too late,” he said."

Only 16% Flu-Jabbed… Authorities getting worried.
          https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/nsw-to-make-flu-shots-fr…
"Health officials are particularly concerned about the rapid rise in cases with much lower levels of immunity across the population and a slower than usual uptake, with 16 per cent of people aged five to 65 having received their flu vaccine this year."“Children and young people have been most severely affected so far. We expect it’s going to be a big year for flu,” O’Meara said.

          Only 27% Flu-Jabbed…
          https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/free-shots-fail-to-boost…

          Only 40% Flu-Jabbed… those pesky ANTI-vaxxers, they're still a bloody MAJORITY?! : )
          https://www.smh.com.au/national/is-the-flu-worse-than-before…

Demand slows for 5th covid booster, oh dear, even this bunch are turning ANTI-vaxxer on us?!
          https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/enthusiasm-for-covid…

And I'm sure flu and covid jab rates this year will be inadequate like last, thus proving my point about how people selectively and contradictingly use the term to attack, coerce and control others, which is deeply unhealthy for all involved… and that people's care is largely a created and confected product of power and what their screeeeens tell them to do… which you guessed it, is deeply unhealthy for all involved.

Btw, Google is a devalued and censored entity… best not to use it if you ever want to leave the chamber and come join us in reality.

          • @DrDelusion: Yeah, they're not really calling people Anti-vaxxers. The articles are just encouraging flu-vaccines.
