1500 Flybuys Points The First Time You Redeem a Free Coffee or Digital Fuel Docket @ Coles Express (Flybuys Activation Required)

Got this on all of my many accounts so I'm pretty certain it's not targeted.

I would imagine that most of us here haven't ever redeemed a digital fuel docket at Shell Coles Express because any real OzBargainer has a helicopter for cheap fuel.

The real deal here $7.50 worth of Flybuys points per account for redeeming a free coffee. The coffee is the worst I've had so for my remaining accounts I'll be redeeming the offer at the cashier but just not making it.

At Shell Coles Express, I found
A coffee so cheap, my hopes unwound

To redeem a Digital Fuel Docket and collect 1,500 bonus points you'll need to:
1. Sign in or download the latest Flybuys app.
2. Spend $30 or more in one transaction at Coles.
3. Receive your Digital Fuel Docket in the Flybuys app under 'My fuel offers'.
4. Hit 'Activate' on your Digital Fuel Docket.
5. Next time you're at Shell Coles Express, scan your Flybuys card and choose to redeem your fuel offer OR the current in-store product offer (no fuel purchase required). It's that easy!

          • @Neoika: I mentioned everything and submitted all relevant screenshots. They just arent reading things properly. And the mailbox is still full this arvo

          Sent it via FB messenger, maybe will have better luck there

      • They replied they would check via FB messenger, had no further reply yet but have an extra 1500 points added today

    Same I sent the screen shot of redeemed coffee which included the date. I get a reply what date did I redeem? I don’t get it. The screen shot shows it and they ask the same questions maybe hoping I will go away.

    • I initially sent an email telling them the day as thats all I had. Then they wanted a receipt so I sent a screen shot of the coffee credit and is now approved. Maybe they are hoping that the day you say lines up with the screen shot? I would imagine a lot of people are falsely claiming so they're making it difficult.

    • I need receipt of proof they state, but it shows on my account that I redeemed the coffee. ? It shows on my account I did that transaction. They sent the below email. Feel like it’s wasting my time back and forth emails of rubbish conversation . I don’t get what they want, I already sms and emailed them my screen shot and they say the same thing like what is the date and take ages to reply. . I’m not going to bother anymore .

      “Please be advised we need you to provide us with a copy of the final invoice or receipt so we may assist you with your enquiry.”

        • I agree, keep emailing them. I don't know how you even get a receipt as I never got one or had it offered.

      • I think it is safe to say that each Flybuys rep seems to have different approach to this problem.

        Personally, I called the Flybuys team last week about this. The call was answered by a rep in 3 minutes, then it took another 4 minutes for the rep unpack the problem and then to lodge a request with the Flybuys partners team to investigate, and I was credited the missing points the next day.

        The rep did ask me whether I had a receipt number, but I explained that (1) the Shell Coles Express attendant refused to give me a receipt when I requested one, and (2) there is a coffee credit recorded on my Flybuys account for that transaction. The rep said the coffee credit history should be sufficient, but if there was any follow-up questions, the Flybuys partners team would reach out (but there were no follow-up questions before I received the missing points).

        It may be worth calling the Flybuys call centre for further assistance, although I will note that you may also get a rep over the phone telling you that you need to provide a receipt number!

          Thanks Wookiemonster after reading your post I decided to call and after talking for 15 min I was trying to prove that I am entitled to the points. She was trying to say I needed to fill up fuel at coles express to get these points and she had to ask her supervisor and she said ok I got the points .

            @FujiFruit: I'm glad you got the points eventually, but I'm not sure why it had to be so hard for Flybuys to give you the points! I mean, I remember the Flybuys app saying no fuel purchase was required (and you can see that in the screenshot for this deal).

    • Check your spam mail box too. After 2 failed attempts i thought it went through, only to find the delivery failed email in my spam later that day. Sent it yet again and i think it went through the last time. Time will tell, lol.

    They still responded despite receiving mailbox full errors. Received the following 4 responses (for 4 different accounts)
    1. Will forward for investigation (this is what you want)
    2. Still want receipt despite providing screenshot of the redemption
    3. As above
    4. It hasn't been 4 weeks since the end of the promotion yet. Wait until mid May

    Facebook support just went ahead and added points for one of the accounts after a day - so I guess I'll do each sequentially through there.

        Ehhh I did it before for the Disney promotion. No one seemed to care.

    Facebook very responsive to these claims.
    3/4 accounts done now, each within 1-2 days of messaging them with all the details.

      Yeah mine was finally processed through fb messenger. Funny thing, I received yet another bullshit response via email after it was sorted out (now telling me to wait until May - 4 weeks after end of offer) I replied that it was already sorted via fb and pointed awarded, and that 4 weeks from end of offer was mid April, not May. Omg those emails back and forth were so frustrating!

    If anyone is still trying to sort it out via email don't even bother.

    Save your time and contact them on FB messenger and include a screenshot of the coffee purchase.

    They'll probably still ask for some non-existent receipt but tell them that sending a receipt wasn't part of the promo and add a link to this page stating that it's an issue on their end which they should sort out.

    Horrible customer service.
