This is a great price if you can't find the C2 for 'reasonable' money -
    This is a C1 panel with C2 'guts'…

Check the reviews for the differences, then decide what percentage more to pay to upgrade to the newer panel.
When I purchased my CS, the C2 was nearly 50% more…too much considering the relatively minor improvements

now it's coming down to 20%ish more - the C2 is a serious consideration over this

I'm well happy with the CS though - twinkly star fields have never looked so good, and those tiny high brightness reflections in many movies just make the image pop so much more than LCD's can manage

is c2 better and in what way?
is the c2 panel more better or what is the differences?

also how is gaming on this (pc and console - ps5, xbox series x)
and does it support VRR on any of the models?

    • Is $200 more "reasonable money" for the C2? I've just had news that my 6yo C8 has packed it in so it seems I'm back in the market but haven't kept up.

        yes

      • YES - definitley the C2 over the CS / C1……

    The C2 is a better buy at $2556 ($240 more): https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/760174

Most reviews say they're pretty similiar in performance, but the C2 is a bit brighter (approx 7% more). The same reviews suggest the extra $600 (at the time of review) for the C2 over the C1 (or CS) isn't worth it, but at only $240 more - I'd say it is.

Having said that, we love our 77" CS. For us - the C2 at the same size was going to be almost $800 more
