  • I think Ozito ones are somewhere between Bosch blues and greens but cheaper. Is it just me?

    • A lot closer to the greens

    • +6

No way. Bosch Green is on par with and generally a bit better than Ryobi.

      • Ah okay. Just curious about what people think.

        • +1

Bullshit, Ryobi puts Bosch green to shame.

Much wider selection of tools for starters.

      • What makes you say that? (genuine question) as I have both and the green bosch seems a little flimsy and under powered compared to my extremely well worn and abused Ryobi. In our factory the Ryobi drills each get at least 4 hours a day drilling metals, and are all over 4 years old and still work well. To the point where all the soft touch rubber silicon stuff is very much gone xD
It's only been a few months with the Bosch greens though so early days.

I am probably biased seeing the greens as flimsy as they feel alot lighter and are very round and toy like.

        Still a great deal though!

      • TIL that Bosch makes tools in green casing!

      • Not true.
Simple example - Impact Drivers (not wrenches)
        Bosch Green - 130nm torque
        Bosch Blue - 200nm torque
        Ryobi HP - 300nm torque

Ryobi beats Bosch Green on impacts & revolutions per minute & is line ball with/slightly less than Bosch Blue.
Torque is the first thing I look for in an impact driver, then impacts than revs.
        Ryobi has 6 year warranty

I second that. Don't think Ozito comes anywhere close to Bosch. Even the green series.

      • +2

Ozito is number one in single use powertools.

  • Ich liebe Bosch <3

    • You love the bush?

  • Can you use the Bosch Green batteries with the Bosch Professional (blues)?

  • If I was on a tight budget and had to choose between this or Ozito, I'd go for this.

A decent deal for two hundred bucks IMO.

50% off ? This is like massive false advertising.

Its $217 at catch and this means you only save $18.

    • I'm not sure why your getting negged . Your Info with Unidays 10% with better gift card 8% off beats Ebay's price .

    • But it says Bosch! Even the battery says it’s Bosch. Bosch. Bosch… Bosch
I think If you take the brand away it doesn’t say much at all at this price

  • +3

I'd go for ozito. Cheaper to buy other tools and return for a new one every few years if it starts getting a bit run down

    • Big problem with Bosch Green is that they have super limited skins.

      • I'm out of the loop. What is Bosch Green?

I bought a small bosch drill for like $200 from Bunnings in 2013 and it's still going strong, it's blue.

Would this deal be of similar quality?

        • Bosch Green is the homegamers level.

It has a very limited amount of tools.

Bosch Blue is the more prosumer/professional level. It has significantly more tools/skins available and is a lot better.

Green and Blue are not interchangeable.

          • @ReqelinOz: Thanks. I'll slowly build up a "Blue" collection then as I need things.
Taking a look, my drill does say "professional" on it lol

  • Bosch Drill

Does anyone know if this the same deal but cheaper? https://m.catch.com.au/product/bosch-3-piece-18v-rechargeabl…

    • Looks like it is. Great find!

      • Any cashback on either deal?

  • Seems to be the same MPN: 0615991FJ1

Thanks, just ordered the one on Catch!
