Hi Guys, this seems the lowest price ever on this headset.

I think this is a really good price for an ANC wireless headset.

    Woah, that is green

    • +22

      My eyes!!!! It burns.

  • +1

grabbed one, should be a good gift for one of the nephews. thanks.

    • +4

For the one you don't like?

      • +5

For the one he likes to piss the others off because they have to see this bright green thing.

      • +2

one is young enough the colour is probably a major plus. also harder to lose!

  • +1

Well, it's different to black, I'll give them that.

  • I like the colour! good deal

  • +2

I own a bunch of green gaming headsets but this level of green blows them all out of the water lol. Still, good price.

    • +1

Step up to get your rep up!

  • +2

Was interested - kid could do with a set for school, until I saw Razer.

  • Awesome thx

  • +9

Sure bad colour blah blah blah but you cant even get this cheap for a pair of ANC headphones on amazon or ebay with the no name chinese brands.

7.3/10 on rtings. good enough for 39 bucks

    • +19

Its all good not like you be looking at it when wearing it. Though the people around they going to suffer but who cares about them. You won't hear their whining about how brightly coloured this is because of ANC.

    • +3

I guess the best part is that you won't see them when you're wearing them

    • +1 vs the other OzBargain recommendation mobvoi tickasa clones

      -0.1 for radioactive green
      -0.25 for no aux

      -19 decibel attenuation

    • +1

Honestly I had some negative things to say about it's performance in the last deal (it was only a few dollars cheaper than regular prices on Amazon AU).

But at $39 it's definitely worth a try. When I was looking for feedback on it one person said it can cancel the noise of an A/C unit so there's at least one use for it.
I tried a more expensive pair of ANC headphones and thought it would be able to cancel out heavy rain on a tin roof, unfortunately it couldn't it just makes it a bit quieter. But yeah if you are planning on using it for that specifically I would say look at something else. When it rains heavy I can barely hear the movie I am watching unless I really turn the volume up.

    • -5

      Razor is a Chinese brand.

      • -4

So does the iPhone which is made in China.

      • +4

Not sure about Razor, but Razer is a Singaporean brand.

  • +2

Omg did they use radioactive paint on this?

  • +1

I have a feeling you're going to see this in the reflection of your monitor. Just a green haze in the middle of the screen

    • +5

Can you imagine looking at your reflection wearing these with you post-nut face as the video fades to black?

      • +2

No, I instantly load up my 24/7 livestream of My Little Pony re-runs it usually does the trick

  • +1

Wear this on the train blasting like a G6. Then start calling the other commuters NPC.

  • Thanks OP. Got 2 for the kids

    • +13

You traded two kids for this green headset? Not sure if bargain or a loss. 🤔

      • +5

think of all the headphones their hands could assemble…

        😵‍💫🤯

        • +2

          Yes officer, this one here

      • read the comment more carefully, they got 2 pairs, not just 1, sounds like a solid deal

  • +3

I turned the saturation down so I could see what they look like.

  • +1

    The Hulk approves! 💚

    • +1

Its like if the hulk and the green lantern had a love child.

  • Would have got them if they could connect with a cord, but don't want to rely on wireless only

    • Yeah that's one of the features it can't do. No wired connection socket.

    • This is the killer or else I would have got for the kids for use on flights.

  • +2

You can now spot ozbargainers even in dark.

  • Just like Hi-Vis vest, these make those people who listen to loud music with their headphones on the street more visible to motor vehicles.

But don't wear these to war games when you need to be camouflaged.

  • How's the sound quality on these?

    • $39 quality.

      • +1

Actually probably much better than that. Something like 80% the sound quality compared to a $100+ pair of headphones.
Diminishing returns means with $$ amount of extra spend you get an 1X% amount of improvement. Once you pass the $300 range that becomes even less like a 3% improvement for a $800 pair of headphones compared to $300 headphones.

  • I reckon this headset will become the eshay staple in 2023. Worn around the neck to look cool

    • There was once a time when a "lad" was the charming young fellow in my profile pic. Berries and Cream!! 😂

    • Lads be using beats.

If you see these in the wild it'll be mostly adult men.

  • So I created another account to get the eBay Plus for free, placed my order and the receipt came through.

Then minutes later, eBay blocked my account and it's been suspended for suspected fraud.

Wonder if I'll receive the order? haha!

  • bought one as it was too much of a bargain to let go lol (did not need it)

  • Couldn't see if this needed a dongle or will it just Bluetooth to a laptop? I have a Razer if that helps.

    • Doesn't need a dongle. You can connect it to any other bluetooth device out of the box.

or will it just Bluetooth to a laptop?

Yes but of course your laptop needs to have bluetooth.

  • why everything related to gaming is now green ? :O

  • people, i'm not trying to be a (profanity) here, nor being sarcastic - i just got a genuine question:

does anyone know how this 'noise cancelling' headphone compares with Bose QC35 II noise cancelling headphone? I didn't know that you can make this sort of headphone this cheap.

    • +4

Hi, I bought a pair for my son a while ago, and have compared them to the Bose 700's. Of course they're not quite in the same league, but I was genuinely suprised at how good they were - could cancel out cooking range hood/exhaust noise, air con noise etc quite well, I would say around 80% as good as the Bose's, for less than a third of the price at the time. Far better than the lowest Sennheiser ANC's that they replaced. At $39 it would far outperform anything in that price bracket. Be aware that I do agree with the reviewers that it clamps a little bit too tightly for long term comfort, but that's subjective anyway.

      • Thanks mate, you've successfully convinced me; and also thanks OP, bought one, although i don't really need it 😂

  • -6

for the love of ozbargain ears, do not get this please. Even for your kids. Bad quality headphones~~

  • +1

Usb c, but I so bought one

    • Did you apply the voucher?

  • Bought one. - worst case I can spray paint it.

  • +2

    RadioActive Noise Cancelling

  • +7

I've owned a pair for a year so I'll give my best input to those on the fence: sound profile is surprisingly punchy, higher bass & treble, which sounds great for games and media. ANC isn't the best but I consider it an added bonus at the price range (I paid $90). Latency is very low so you can watch media without experiencing audio going out of sync (however some cheap TVs will still be laggy, for those users who experience this i'd suggest a cheap USB powered bluetooth dongle from amazon). Biggest downside is the earpads are using standard foam, which isn't as comfortable compared to the now almost industry standard memory foam. A bit disappointing as you do notice this, especially over longer sessions, but for $39 this can definitely be overlooked. A steal at this price.

  • I have these headphones in white and for that price theyre a cracker. Use them everyday on runs , in the office etc.

  • +4

I was hoping by this morning they would be sold out so I dont get suckered into buying something I dont really need but alas, 1 purchased :)

  • +2

I actually love this colour (WFH use, not for the office). Great deal and great colour, thanks for the share!

  • Late by couple of weeks! This would’ve gone nicely with the virtual World pride morning tea at work.

  • How to activate gaming mode for low latency 60ms gaming?

    • hold middle function button for 5 seconds per manual

  • -4

Sold out copped the last one. Change tag to sold.

    • +2

If it’s sold out, you report it as sold out.

But it doesn’t look sold out to me.

      • +1

your facts caused him to get deactivated RIP

  • Legend! thanks OP ordered a set.
Good for the kids if anything.

  • Quick delivery!

USB C is cherry on top!

    Thanks OP.

  • For anyone who doesn't have eBay Plus, try this code:

    MARC202310

Down to $43.87 from $48.75 for me. Still seems like a steal for that price imo.

  • Received mine. Bargain for $39.

    • Would be great to hear your thoughts (no pun intended) on what you think of the headphones in terms of fit, sound quality, ANC performance, especially as the bargain is still active.

      • +2

Similarly impressed, at least for $40 they are a good deal. I like the soundstage (not much bass) and fit but ANC is, as rtings suggested, not great compared to my QC25s. They reduce airplane white noise by about 30-40% whereas the QC25s reduce the same noise by about 50-60% (subjectively).

      • +1

They're not as good as my Sony XM3s but fit is comfortable enough, sound quality is decent albeit not very bassy. ANC also not as good as the XM3 but it definitely does work and I consider it a big bonus for the price point. USB C is also nice. Overall recommended for $39.

Will be using them on a flight soon which will be a nice test.

      • I bought a set and am very pleased. Fitment is nice, noise cancelling shuts out the children so is good enough for me, and the sound quality definitely meets my expectations (I'm guessing probably better than anything else in the sub $100 range). Great value.

  • Cheers OP :)

  • Can view it in eBay but can't seem to checkout….

  • +1

I've got the white ones - and for $39, these can't be beat.

They're not the most comfortable, nor the best audio, nor the best range of the BT headphones I've got, but they're more than acceptable and for $39 the bang per buck is exceptional.

But yeh, that green colour would prohibit using in public, or on zoom calls, etc. Unless you just DGAF, in which case go for it.

    • Great for wearing to the Footy hehe .

  • +1

Got mine today. Wish I bought a few more pairs.

  • +2

Someone just turned up with a pair of these at work today and the build quality feels as good as any headphones I've ever picked up. Considering the sound and ANC has been rated quite well above I'm wishing I picked up a pair, reasonably my only problem with them is not having an audio jack for when they go flat or the battery inevitably dies and most people chuck them in landfill.

Just checked and while expired they can still be had for 44 bucks with the current 10% off code, it's still a steal and no one should be put off buying them.

    • +1

I wonder how you knew they were these headphones… Probably the same reason "no one should be put off buying them". :D

      • Clearly the colour is there to see, if people can get past that they are quality headphones, they actually feel as good as my xm3s. Also has a steel headband in the headphones, at least that's what you see when you expand them

  • Hey guys, can anyone answer my question on how this headset has implemented it's multi-device support? I used to own a Plantronics Backbeat Go something and it's one great feature that I miss was that it allowed you to connect to 2 devices at once, and whichever one you activated some sound on it would automatically allow that stream to be played. This was very useful because you could be on your phone and pc at the same time, and not have to be fiddling back and forth to swap between them.

I then "upgraded" to xm3, and it didn't have this feature, meaning I had to disconnect and reconnect. This is a bit of a pain if you do both a lot. Does anyone know if the Opus X is more like the xm3 or the plantronics?

  • It doesn't have more than 1 connection at a time as far as I can tell from the packaging and my testing.

  • +2

Just finished testing these back to back on a flight against Bose 700, Sony XM4, B&W PX7 S2, and Bose QC2 earphones. In order of best noise airplane noise cancellation it would be Bose QC2, Sony XM4, Bose 700, and around equal between the Opus X & the B&W PX7s. I kid you not. The QC's are definitely a tier better, then the next 2, then the next 2. In terms of comfort, I prefer the QC2's (although it is a different class of product), the Bose 700's, the Sony XM4, then the B&W PX7 S2, then Opus comes last. With the last 2, it may actually be the foam preventing good ANC as when I press the earcups harder against my head there is a noticeable reduction in noise, maybe from a better seal.

Anyway, all of this to say that the ANC is definitely in good company, and for this price (and even at $90) I think it is good value if you have a flight coming up.

    • Thank you for the test and write up!

But did you really bring 5 pairs of headsets on your flight?

      • +1

My travelling party was 7 people, all willing to swap headsets to bring OzB the best real life reviews. :)

        • Ah I see, very noice!
