Seems like a lot of rig for the coin.
Not enough of these deals in 2023.

Worth noting current lead times are a month. I ordered on 22nd Feb and customer support advised me I should not expect it to be built before 17th March and delivered after that, which is then 4-7 business days if opting for standard postage. I think a lot of folks are ordering with priority handling which pushes plebs like me back lol

Ouch.. a bit of a wait

Still better than some of the gpu waiting lists in 2021/22

      • yup I'm still waiting for my 3090

    • I was told by a BPC rep it was 5 -7 days if you paid the $50 bribe, so I did.

That was on the 3rd of March, it's now the 21st.

Monday last week I was told it would be later that week or early this week … early this week has passed so I emailed them again this morning to be told it is in the queue to be done in the next few days.

This is the first time since 1993 that I have not built my own PC because I no longer live near a decent parts supplier (yes I'm that old lol).

Never again. It is not the delay that's the problem, it's the lying to get sales rather than just setting realistic expectations.

      • That really sucks.

In addition to shipping problems, I've had countless others. No OS installed. Different mobo than listed, one less fan than listing said (two vs three), different RAM (which doesn't fit the motherboard's supported ram list). No idea what is going on over there but it isn't good. The RAM issue means I am running the RAM at 2133 vs 3200 as XMP being enabled does not allow the system to POST.

        • I've just sent them an email asking if they can just send the parts, my theory being that if they are now saying "in a few days" that probably means in a week or so, and then some other delay based on the lies so far :(

I hadn't seen the other comments about just sending it in parts, I would have taken that route at the start, I much prefer building myself rather than trust someone else to do it … especially if they are rushing because they can't keep up with orders.

I am honestly happy for them that they are successful, and busy, it's hard. I am just angry about the lies about delivery times.

          • @Daggs: I had the exact same reasoning as you and asked them to send it all seperately. They replied saying "yep all good" then hit me with an invoice for an additional $57 two days later so I said get stuffed, build it yourself and send it to me. Got it 7 business days later.

DarkFlash PC Power Supply 650 Watts 80Plus Bronze Certified Computer Power Supply Unit (GP650)

I would pay the extra $19 for the EVGA 700W Gold PSU

      • ahhk thanks

With the wifi addons, is that onboard WiFi? Or is it just a wifi ufc dongle or something?

The graphics card has a slight edge. But I'd like a 12 series CPU + z series MB +3080.
Maybe we can wait a little longer.

    • @enigmapc deal had $150 upgrade option for 3070 which made complete deal only $50 more then this deal. however the motherboard different in gaming with extra fps is huge

would be interesting if "hardware Unbox" compare the 2, as I think the 3060ti on a better motherboard might beat this deal

  • Omg … Unbelievable value here

    • +2

      It's pretty believable

Cheapest PC partpicker is around $1470 for this build

        • It may shock you to discover that retail prices are cooked

Just a heads up for everyone. I just received by machine from the 4070ti deal they did. If you don't opt for buying Windows, they are not installing it un-activated anymore.

Rep told me MS changed the rules on this recently, so they are only allowed to ship it activated. Just wish someone mentioned it too me.

    • It would be inconvenient for us to install the system from nothing. Can anyone offer a bit of suggestion? I may get some cheap win10 activation codes.

      • Why is installing yourself inconvenient? Only needs a flash drive and 20 minutes.

        • +7

Yes but you also need a computer to begin with. Perhaps the person buying this has no other PC to make the usb on

        • It was quicker than I thought it would take to install Windows itself. All the updates and drivers and mucking around took forever. For example, my wifi didn't get detected during the setup. So I had to find an option to skip the MS account setup. Then get a USB key with Wifi drivers from my old computer. Took at least 4 hours so far and I'm still moving data from my old machine now.

I had a prebuilt from scorptec that didn’t have an operating system, it would just boot into bios.

I didn’t know at the time how easy it was to install windows, download from here:
        https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-installat…

Follow the prompts & save it onto a usb, put that in your new pc & it should automatically start the setup.

Buy from a seller that ships with it unactivated

    • Damn, wish I'd knew this earlier…….

Would be cool if pc shop quickly install Linux for any one that doesn't pay for windows.

help the Linux community with adoption :-)
then buyer can create there own windows install USB or just keep using Linux

      • Yeah, because peeps buying this rig would really need Linux..

  • Any chance you're planning to do a ITX build in the near future?

    How does 2x8GB = 8GB RAM

  • i haven't worked with micro ATX cases before, is it easy to add my current sata HDD into this with the included motherboard and case? thanks

  • both pictures of the product on the website have "windows 11" at the bottom, bit misleading?

  • How does this compare with https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/757277

  • I bought a new case recently so wouldn't need the case this deal comes with. Is there an option to exclude the case but buy all the parts?
