Would you say this is a premium build?

    • +13

I wouldn't call it "premium", tho one could say that it uses far better quality parts then BPC/Techfast.
It is actually a very solid build for the price, nice one Enigma. 👍

      • +3

        Thanks for the support mate!

        • Just facts mate, the table is in OP.

    • Your not going to get 'premium' at that price point. It is an exceptionally good value system, a.k.a excellent 'bang for buck'.

      • It was a reference to their last post that was labelled premium and ultimately got marked as expired or out of stock or something by the poster because it wasn't really a bargain due to the use of lots of 'premium' parts that were overpriced and brought the price of the build up significantly, and the comments were filled with people railing on it because of the use of premium everywhere. I was attempting to be meta

    • +12

Vulcan is what we have in stock. Don't have Kingston.

      • +21

How dare you to not stock a wide variety of budget ram for us to pick from! Not that it has anything to do with logistics/demand/profit margins and all else that involves running a small-medium business.

  • +2

Appreciate you posting the estimated dispatch times.

  • Just a silly question, what you meant by Windows 11 unactiviated??
    Thanks

    • +2

Just means that it wouldn't come with an activation key. Without it Windows will be installed but have limited functionality.

    • Need to buy a licence?
Or transfer licence from your old PC.

    • +1

as in its is installed but no license key entered. you will need to activate it yourself by ways of buying a key (legit or dodgy), use an existing transferrable and compatible key or hack it…

or you have to live with a water mark and some limitations after 30 days.

      • +1

Is there a potential website(s), that sell the key at a discount? (legit of course, similar to like GMG for games - whereby keys are cheap)

        • +1

There are cheap keys at legitimate sites, you can buy them for as a little as $5+ and they just email you the key virtually straight away. I bought a Windows 10 Pro key for my new build like 3 months ago, activated no problem, once it's activated it's activated, it's not like in months after activation it will suddenly be de-activated, once a key is used its used. I went through Gamers Outlet website and bought a global key. It was legitimate and worked!

          • @Justin9mm: FYI

I bought a Windows 10 key off eBay.

Activated fine. 3-4 months later. Windows was no longer activated. Key was no longer valid.

Tried to dispute transaction. Paypal doesn't cover digital purchases. Seller was no longer active on eBay.

Bought another key of eBay. That one's been fine.

            • @crift85: Did you link your key to your Microsoft account? That's very weird. I might add that this recent windows key is not my first cheap key purchase and never had an issue. But I wouldn't buy a key off Ebay either.. At least a place like Gamers Outlet is a known long-term site that doesn't run away after making a few sales. I'm glad the new Ebay one is working for you at least. Although I'd rather buy a new $5-$6 key every few months then pay $160+ for a retail one lol.. Price is a joke!

    • It means we will install windows but won't activate it. You can either use your own key or purchase one of our keys

      • Thanks

      • How much are your keys?

        • Probably like $100?

You can get a key online from ebay or kinguin etc for like $5-10

    • +1

Microsoft Activation Scripts is your best friend

      • This is what I did and worked flawlessly. google MAS github and follow the simple script. zero dollars spent

  • OIC, thanks heaps !!

  • +10

Wanted to give a shout out to Enigma for the previous deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/758616). The process was seamless, including communication regarding the change of the case (after the order had been placed). The shipping was quick as well. Absolutely loving the new PC!

    • +2

Thanks for the positive comment! Glad you are enjoying your PC!

  • Just some questions about shipping.

    1. Who do you use for shipping?
    2. Is the entire value of the built PC insured for loss or damages via shipping?
    3. Is it possible to have the GPU (and other slightly wonky and damageable stuff) shipped in the original packaging instead of installed, to avoid flexing and damage?

Reason I ask really is 'cos some couriers or shipping companies have a max insurance, and for example a $2500 PC would only be insured for $1000 max value, coming from Melbourne. that really makes it difficult to want a whole pre-built PC shipped. I know this is sub $1000 price tag so might be good!

    Cheers!

    • +6
      1. We use Australia Post and go logistics (NSW only)
      2. We have shipping insurance available at checkout and we insure the entire PC, not just a certain value
      3. We ship all our builds with expandable foam on the inside for this exact reason. So no flex or damage

      Hope this answers your questions!

      • That's awesome, thanks for the info!

      • Do you offer store/warehouse pickup?
I have heard of not so great things with delivery services and would prefer to pick it up myself for a peace of mind

        • Yes we do! We have a warehouse in Dural.

      • "We ship all our builds with expandable foam on the inside for this exact reason"

does this expandable foam installation also applied to pickup order?

        • +1

nope, not on the one I bought

  • +1

    Hi
Would you guys help me build a pc (not a gaming one) but just with a good graphics card to do video calls

    I would need i7 , 1 TB SSD , 32-64 GB ram
It would be used for wordpress and also lot many tabs are opened at once.
Need something which will not hang or slow down opening 20 different tabs

    • -6

      just get a MacBook

      • +1

What can you do with a MacBook?

    • +1

Shoot us a DM! We can get this spec'd out for you

    • There are three listed here, and techfast said they'd do one, see the thread started by Juns: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/758715

    • +2

Definitely don't need those specs for a development machine. I have a 980ti, 16gbDDR3, 250gbSSD and AMD 6 core CPU from like 2016. Honestly, I run Warzone with 35fps, so video calling is perfectly fine and any other media stuff, apart from if you wanted to edit videos.

You don't need a crazy rig for doing that stuff. Yes Chrome or FF with 40 tabs open can chew ram, but if you manage your mem properly (don't have 10 apps open all the time) it's perfectly fine.

My point is, buy a second hand PC, or even better for work: buy a cheap laptop so you have portability.

I am a software developer and IT consultant, so take it for what it's worth, but I know my sht mostly.

    • +3

      op:

      not a gaming one

      also op:

      good graphics card, i7, 32GB RAM…

      • As I don’t play games but having a full spec one which would last 5 years be better

    • +2

I would pick Enigma deal, seems better value and faster shipping.

  • Is the case sealed or we can add parts like hdd etc. without upsetting warranty?

    • +9

No seal, Our approach to warranty is simple: You can upgrade/do what you want. As long as there is no accidental damage and everything is installed properly, your warranty remains intact.

  • Another day, another build much cheaper than the sum of its parts!

  • Are you guys able to source T series CPUs? I'm looking to buy a 10-12th gen system to be used as a low power server. electricity is expensive these days!

  • +7

Bought in the last deal. PC arrived within a week, very tidy cabling and everything was as selected with the upgrades I chose.

    Would definitely recommend.

One small caveat, during shipping one stick of ram had shaken slightly loose, so little that the rgb still worked but machine wouldn’t post, something to be on the look out for (regardless of vendor!). Simply reseated it and all was well.

    • +1

      Thanks for the kind feedback!

That's a shame with the RAM. Great that you figured that one out quick. We have heard some horror shipping stories in the past!

  • -7

EnigmaPC is not good to deal with! i recommend getting a PC with the other sellers on Ozbargain!

    • +3

Want to elaborate as many people are stating their service has been good

  • Is the system tested with any tools prior to shipping? Just wondering if you have bad memory or the pc overheats etc - what’s the return process. Posting back the whole box would be pricey. Also - can you request a different case? If not - is the case the ARGB version? It has a nicer power supply basement which is better than the non-ARGB version.

    • +1

Great questions. We utilise 3DMark to test the components. We have had rare cases where components do fail on the testbench and we replace the specific part with a new one.

If you receive the PC and these issues occur, under the warranty we will cover the cost of getting the PC back to us. Cases can be swapped out on request. I believe we may have spoken to you about this earlier so apologies for the delayed response here.

      • Yea. Thank you. That’s awesome. I’ve messaged you asking for a different case (price first). Hope you get that before building. But no biggy if you don’t.

  • +7

Got any deals for 3070ti/3080 systems?

    • +1

      I'm keen for a 3080 build.

      • The bpc deal was sweet as, maybe enigma or techfast can match that. Best to pm them.

  • I bought the previous deal sub $900 3060ti and have had no issues with enigma or the build. It did take slightly longer and I wouldve loved more information on how the build progressed rather then just get a shipping email when it was dispatched but you cant have everything.

Also as advised it comes with windows 11 unactivated. I activated mine for free via the script on github. google MAS Github and it should be the top link. saved me $140+ legit key or $10 on a dodgy site for a grey market one

    • Thanks for the feedback! We are working on an improved way to track every build. All the way from parts being picked, building started and PC shipped will be made available.

      • That's great guys. Aside from that I couldn't fault you

    • Windows 11 ew.

    • +1

just curious, whats so important about the gen2 10gbps that you need it over the gen1 5gbps variant on the B560 that they uses? As it stands most peripherals cant even utilise the therotical bandwidth it supports. and its not like laptops where if its a type C port it may offer DP alt mode even if it doesnt support thunderbolt.

      • just wanted to future proof as its the first pc ive bought in 20 years and would have liked it be the last i buy in now quite that long next time.

    • +21

As we mentioned multiple times in our correspondence with you, we cannot cancel an order once parts have been allocated. Despite this we allowed you to upgrade to an RTX 3070, which you were indecisive about and kept going back and forth between a 3060Ti and a 3070.

After this you still want to try to change every single aspect of the build (new motherboard, new ram, new CPU, dual 3070's), you also wanted to get a quote from Mwave for a motherboard. None of these parts were in the deal. We even offered you an upgrade to a Z590 motherboard that we have stock of which is not something we offered anybody else who asked. We told you we needed to get this sorted as your PC was being built soon. But you kept being indecisive with what you wanted.

The next communication we got from you is after your order shipped, via a PayPal dispute. You disputed the order with PayPal claiming you did not receive the order, which is not true. You still have this dispute open with PayPal. You also threatened " i will post negative feesback next time you post your ozbargain trash up!"

As the dispute is still open we wont be commenting any further on here and will continue all further communication via the PayPal dispute.

      • +4

(new motherboard, new ram, new CPU, dual 3070's)

        Wait, hol up! 🤨
        Damn, 1 of those customers.

        • +2

They basically wanted an entirely different PC than in the deal and for some reason chose to drip feed the requests in after the order, taking up a lot of time. From the comments in Enigma's deals, people are receiving their PC's within a week, so that means the PC's are built, tested and shipped out in a few days, since shipping takes time.

Also their budget went up from being hesitant over a 3070 vs 3060Ti to deciding on 2x 3070's which is in the price range of the 4080 and 7900XTX - might as well get the better performing new gen graphics cards in that case.

Also dual graphics cards aren't a thing anymore, 3070's in SLI isn't even possible so not sure what they were thinking there?

Also they wanted Enigma to source parts from a competitor - Mwave does their own PC builds albeit at much higher prices, their cheapest 3060Ti build is double Enigmas, at $2000+, probably why you don't see many Mwave PC deals posted here.

Also attempted fraud with the false PayPal dispute, they've received the PC but are trying to get their money back by claiming they haven't; if PayPal sides with them, what incentive do they have to return the PC? They've already lied to get their money back, I don't think they'll be the sort of person to do the right thing and return the PC. > Police report and small claims court looking likely in that case.

I'd definitely cut ties with that sort of customer and refuse to do business with them in the future.

      • +8

Wow, what a nightmare customer. Still has the audacity to try to shit on your service after all that.. a truly miserable person. Sorry you had to deal with all that. From what I’ve read, you guys seem great to work with, keep it up!

      • +4

Opens PayPal dispute & says they did not receive order, then says on here that order arrived quickly lol. 🤦🏻

        • +2

I hope they've got a screenshot of that!

@enigmapc, if they delete/edit their post before you get the evidence, I've got the page saved as PDF if you need it for PayPal.

          huestepha sounds like a POS

      • -1

i said i would like the motherboard upgrade but didnt happen 🤷
no threats just want others to know what to expect when they order from you.
a good PC but treated like shit!!

        • +2

Why PayPal dispute and claim to PayPal you didn't receive the PC when you stated here it arrived very quickly?

    • I would also like to know which deal you were trying to cancel enigma for?

  • -6

Made an order on 23rd Feb (last $900 3060ti deal) and waited for 11 days before calling up as there wasn't any updates at all, only to be told over the phone that they had cancelled the order as it was oversold on the day of. Did not receive any email notification (nothing through spam or junk) or any evidence of a pending refund. Tracked the order online daily through their website, indicating that it was PENDING FULFILMENT, until they finally changed it to CANCELLED after I made the phone call (6th of March). Made absolutely no attempts at mediation at all, other than the fact that there were “graciously” going to give me a full refund for a product that was not delivered. BUYERS BEWARE, this is the type of customer service you’re going to get for something you’re going to sink thousands of dollars into.

    • +13

We still aren't really sure what you want from us exactly. You seemingly want to be compensated for your time. We don't see how a full refund is not acceptable. We acknowledged the communication was not the best and have continually apologised for it.

In terms of customer service, we have answered every one of your calls immediately. Like stated before, we don't exactly know what you want.

      • -4

The crux of the issue was more so in the fact that there was absolutely no communication between the seller and the buyer when the order was cancelled (nothing reflected on the website or via email). I was left waiting 11 days for an object that would not have appeared, if not for the fact that I had to call up to confirm.

Had I known that the order was cancelled right away or in the next few days, I would've taken no issue and simply bought another prebuilt from a competitor or simply built my own pc.

My issue was in the opportunity cost involved, mainly competitor deals that have now expired, which I definitely could've jumped on upon if I was duly notified.

If a simple gesture of $10 off was given, I would've been satisfied. But its indignified that the company screwed up on communications and the only thing they were willing to do is to return my money for something that should not have been charged in the first place.

        • +16

          bro really $10?

          • +2

@michaelTito: It wasn't the monetary value, but the thought that counts. Furthermore, I was simply suggesting a token sign of apology aka $10 off discount code for the next purchase or something similar.

Considering that they were able to post a very similar deal in such short frequency, meant that they could've just as easily admitted their wrong and offered this deal instead. I would've been more than happy to top up the price difference if they had offered.

However, I was was not offered any alternative solutions at all.

            • @melkenshawn: I do see your point @melkenshawn, from my perspective I didn’t see the original post you made. For businesses that don’t have full communication platforms synced to their order systems these things can get missed and honestly no one does this on purpose. Refunds were given back which they should, you could argue that yes a sweetner could have been added (I’ll assume profit margins on these rigs aren’t high, but not the point). At the end of the day the issue was acknowledged , resolved and I guess move on. The muddy water is commenting negatively on another post from the same company, it’s not indicative (I hope) of their overall customer service. Anyway just my thoughts which aren’t always welcomed

        • +14

You've wasted my time reading your comments and I should be compensated

          $5 Paypal

    • -3

      Ok Karen

    • +8

I can understand your concern but they apologised.. I think they have been honest with you in this case and have been sincere.
A full refund was fine. Alternatively you could have asked for a deal with a similar build and helped out that way.
Shit happens sometimes but at least they were apologetic.

  • +2

Sharing my experience from the previous deal. Very positive experience, everything working well and it shipped very quickly.

  • +1

Is it possible to get all parts unassembled? My 15 yo kid would love building it? Happy to purchase asap.

    • +1

Unfortunately we can't ship them assembled, but we are working on finding a way to offer this in future

      • +1

        You mean unassembled, right?

        • +1

lol yes you are correct. Thanks for picking up on that.

    • +3

You should go crawl back under whatever rock you came out under from.

  • +4

Hi Enigmapc. Thanks again for another great PC. Hoping for a solid deal on new gen parts for the next build, not sure how interested other people are in it but 2~2.5kish would be amazing.

  • Hi Enigmapc, thanks for this build. I’ve got a few questions:
    1. Are there (not micro) atx motherboard with built in wifi?
    2. On the tax invoice, is it possible to have prices for each component?
    Thanks!

  • If anyone's wondering, the upgrade to a motherboard with VRM heatsinks compared to the previous deal might be worth it if you plan to increase the power limit of the 11400 for faster clock speeds.

Would love to know if anyone who's purchased the previous deal has made the same power limit change without any cooling/performance issues?
