Any build with AMD 7000 series?

      • True, but I'd like to see what Tech Fast has to offer. :)

      • It comes with 4800CL40 RAM, upgrade to 6000C? is $240.

    • +5

Similar to DDR5, 7000 series hasn't reached Ozb-able levels just yet. We'll offer when it does.

  • +3

Hey Luke, I'm looking for a productivity build and does not need too powerful a GPU. Is techfast likely to do one of those?

  • +2

Three weeks ago a build with this gpu was $200 more

    • thank goodness for mining bubble burst!

  • +1

    Hi Luke

Would i be able to get the PC delivered not built? and select the gpu model brand aswell?

    • Fairly sure they send it not built if you contact them and ask.
As for selecting the gpu brand, don't think they do that.

    • Highly doubt you select GPU model. They will send unassembling PC though

    • +1

Comments correct :) leave Ship Unassembled in the Order Notes and we'll do that. For GPU, we can try to cater to requests but can't guarantee.

TechFast going MAD after losing lots of business to BPCTech…

And don't forget the new player Enigma. Crazy competition, and so exciting!

    • GPU prices are falling, may be clearing existing stock-> https://www.techspot.com/article/2611-gpu-pricing-update/
What's happening in the US is likely to replicate in Aust.
Cheap deals are coming & all sellers will be doing it: watch this space…

Another 'deal' with no PcPartPicker table.

  • Heads up that I tried to checkout and it said Transaction declined: suspected fraud. Not sure what that's about.

    • +5

Stop hacking into the mainframe to download their RAM.

      • +3

        lol

    • @luketechfast

      • Yep, PMd at same time as tag :)

    • +11

We literally witnessed a price war that benefits bargain hunters. This is like the most ozbargain thing I can think of.

  • +3

Should change the image because that case is a upgrade.

  • Can I upgrade to a ddr5 compatible mobo for futureproofing?

    • Not on this deal but DDR5 RAM and Mobos are (slowly) becoming more reasonable. We'll offer when it's OzB-ready

  • +1

Luke, in terms of these build from you (and your competitors), I almost always find undesirable RAM/SSD, and often case/psu/mobo is only just do-able in my own standard..

My question is, for picky customers like me, can there be any special negotiating/ bundle quotes, where I can still take some advantage of bundled price, and you can still sell bulk to have a win/win?

no assemble required btw, if that might reduce your labor cost.

    • +1

This sounds like what I need also!

  • Was just about to grab the BPC 4080… how much worse is this one?

    Looking at the following upgrades;

Deepcool Matrexx 55 Mesh 4F RGB [ATX] Case (+$59.00)
MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI [ATX] Motherboard (+$149.00) (I want Bluetooth & WiFi)

    • For Bluetooth/wifi - just grab yourself a $5 dongle off eBay.

      • +2

Wifi dongles can work in a pinch but they are no substitute for an actual wifi card

  • WTF, I was literally ordering RTX 4070ti deal from BPC and this deal pop up!

Took me 3 days to research RTX 4070ti and 7900 XT. Now you do this to me, Luke?

Hi Luke, noob question from me: any reasons why you dont offer DDR5 upgrade?

    • +7

Because it requires a totally different platform of motherboard/cpu.

  • Loving this competition!
+1 for the PC PartPicker and also listing the brand names for informed decisions.

Im excited to buy my new PC for Diablo 4 release.

    • This pc should be more than enough to handle Diablo 4,max setting 4k?

  • Hi, I’m ordered two 4070ti desktops from 1 February, so how long will shipping?

    • +1

Took a month for mine, but you’ve missed out coz for $20 more you could’ve gotten this deal

  • -3

    wtf is InWin psu

    • -1

      sounds chinese

    • +3

InWin have been around for ages, more well known for their PC cases though. The company was formed in 1985 and is based in Taiwan.

      • -3

more well known for their PC cases though

More well known in Asia. Unheard of in Australia…

The company was formed in 1985 and is based in Taiwan.

        Will be China soon

  • +1

This or wait for EOFY "Gpu Gang"?

  • Wait for one more deal, just one more…. I've held out this long XD

  • Neither the 750/850w 80 Plus Gold Power Supply are mentioed to be ATX3.0/Pcie5 or just last-gen that need adaptors still.

It would be good if from now on you make that clear on the website parts listing but maybe post an answer here

  • Decent Price, shame I can't remove some components to bring the price down even more

are you being sarcastic? You want to keep only the GPU LoL

I tried to cancel a previous order, whilst my funds were still pending transfer. Of course I couldn’t call to cancel as you have removed all contact details except for email, so had to wait for an email response.

    The response was;

Unfortunately, we are not able to simply cancel your order at this stage.

Upon receiving an order, we immediately begin processing the order. As every PC we sell is customisable (or made-to-order), this includes ordering stock, committing staffing resources, administrative work, and other related procedures, all of which represent a cost to our business. Therefore once an order is placed we cannot accept a cancellation and offer a full refund, be it for change of mind or any other reason, without cost.
Cancellations can be handled in two ways:
    1) Order cancelled and refund issued for 75% of the total cost, 20% will be provided in the form a one time use coupon and 5% will be kept by us to cover the fees associated.
    2) Order cancelled and a credit for the full amount provided, in the form of a coupon code to use on our website at any other time. This can be used in one full amount or multiple partial amounts.

    • +2

      Or
      3) Visit their Adelaide store in person 😉
      4) ACCC

once an order is placed we cannot accept a cancellation and offer a full refund, be it for change of mind or any other reason, without cost.

Unreasonable cancellation fees based the options provided. It really shows what type of company you’re dealing with

      • +2

Yeah, I'm really upset about it
Unfortunately I am in Sydney. I sent them an email earlier today, with no response:

I would like the full amount refunded please. I am happy to discuss on the phone, however there were no phone contact details on your website.
I am happy to discuss this further with you or a representative, or escalate to see what my rights are under Australian consumer law. Please let me know what you prefer

        • +1

I would recommend getting ACCC involved if you’re not in a rush for your money back. I would argue that their cancellation policy is unreasonable, and that you requested a cancellation reasonable quick. Give them 10 business days to respond to your latest email. If you don’t like their response you know what to do next.

    • Custom BUILT TO ORDER will have TERMS & CONDITIONS and they COVER YOUR ASS stuff will tell you the above on CANCELATIONS

A 5% cancelation fee is reasonable with the 20% in-house giftcard as some restocking/cancelations can be 30%

Why doesn't dell/hp do this, well they have a bigger client base, small OEM builders have some serious dosh on the line and even a few problems that need warranty or return can mean they are making a LOSS… Now why do this for that! Ill also point out that 'changed my mind', because your finances have changed isnt an ACCC acceptable reason to even compel anyone to do anything!

Heard a great one, guy orders a rig for his sons 30th bday, all high end stuff, cost 10k! Comes the bday and the father finds the son built his own with the same parts (its where the father got the idea) and goes back to the builder and asks for a complete refund. Now thats custom water loop, lighting, control software and hardware, all unique to the build. Profit was maybe 10% (1k) which sounds like a lot but really wasn't as the time it took, trips, freight, drama ect… Worked out to maybe $20 an hour over 3 months! Would you work for that and then refund 9k on a system you might sell now at half that (used), still give warranty and eat? Ive heard it all, seen it all

      • Hate to add this but he was forced to refund the whole amount by the small claims as he didnt have a contract with terms and conditions a mistake he didnt make again I assure you! Oh the dumbass millionaire, happy as larry, gave his son and g/f a holiday to an island paradice with the 10k!

      • +2

I ordered wed 23rd at 1pm, and notified of cancellation via email (as you cannot phone them) on thursday 24th at 9:35am. You telling me that in that period they have made a loss? That's a joke. Especially since their post on here was still active, so they hadn't run out of any allocated stock.

5% cancellation, whilst objectionable, is something I could live with, but no way I'm going with their gift card.

        • I'm watching this space to see how they treat their interstate customers

4090 and 750w psu? seems dodgy

    • +2

      It's 4080, not 4090.

750W PSU is perfectly adequate for majority (if not all) customers: https://www.pcguide.com/gpu/power-supply-rtx-4080/

      • -3

Still dodgy, the link you posted literally recommends a 850w minimum. Linus had a bunch of his employees cheap out on PSU's for their intel builds. Didn't end well.

        • Can you share the video where Linus talks about that? Would like to hear what happens as this is my first PC (non-laptop) purchase in a while.

  • Hey Ozb fam,
I received my Techfast order (Jan 3080 deal*) today, but is it expected to not receive the power cable, screws for the case, and anything else that’s meant to be included in the parts bought? TIA

    • +2

      Hi Mate,
      Sorry to hear of this.
Please reach out to the team at [email protected] and they will be able to assist.
      Thanks,

      • All good, I was just too eager.
Box of parts and cables arrived today.
        Thanks!

  • Tried the deal and got "Transaction declined: Suspected Fraud". Also, if you don't customise this PC is it in the instant "TechFast Express PCs" or does it not matter and has the 14 business days delay.

  • any expiry on this deal?

  • spewing i paid more for a 3080 ti deal 5 months ago.. can't say i have enjoyed it though

i wonder how much i could sell this same pc but if i put a 3080 ti in it instead and swap the 4080 in my current pc

  • Hi Luke,
    Any builds with AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XT/XTX or 6900 XT/6950XT GPUs?

  • Hi Luke, any chance you can do this same PC with a 5800X3d CPU option? And if req a MB upgrade to suit.

  • @luketechfast the page does suggest an AIO cooler, I just wanted to know what Brand/model is being used?
