I have been looking for a price close to the $305.10 December deal and this is the closest I have seen since then. $339 shipped from Amazon AU. Midnight Black and White Smoke available at this price.

  • Noise cancelling wireless headphones – The perfect balance of quiet, comfort, and sound. Bose uses tiny mics to measure, compare, and react to outside noise, cancelling it with opposite signals.

  • High-fidelity audio – The TriPort acoustic architecture offers depth and fullness. Volume-optimized Active EQ maintains balanced performance at any volume, so bass stays consistent when turned down and the music remains clear when turned up.
Quiet & Aware Modes – Choose Quiet Mode for full noise cancelling, or Aware Mode to bring the outside into the around ear headphones and hear your environment and your music at the same time.

  • Over ear headphones – These comfortable wireless headphones are suitable for all-day wear. Crafted with plush synthetic leather and impact-resistant nylon, and designed with minimal clamping force, they’re as luxurious as they are durable.

  • Up to 24 hours battery life – Enjoy 24 hours of battery life from a single charge.* A quick 15-minute charge offers 3 hours when you’re on the go, or plug in the included audio cable to listen for even longer in wired mode.
  • Around ear headphones charge via USB-C – Headphones charge via the included USB-C cable.

  • Bluetooth wireless noise cancelling headphones – These headphones are optimized for a strong, reliable Bluetooth connection within 30 feet of the paired device.

  • Bose Music app – The app walks you through guided setup of your over ear headphones, making it easy to get started. Plus, access adjustable noise cancellation settings, manage your Bluetooth connections, enable shortcuts, and more.

  • this or anker q45?

    • If you are tasmanian. You get 2 of the anker q45.

    • One is half the price of the other? Hard to compare.

    • -1

Sony. Previous gen, the 1000mx3's. They fold up. The ANC is better. You can get em for a steal.

      • +1

        where steal

    • they were just trying to say that a comparison to a chanker is a bit ridiculous

  • +1

Seems to be just the Midnight Black available at this price.

    White Smoke also $339

    • +1

White one looks wayyyy nicer just like with the wh1000 haha

    • +1

I love my white ones, do DIY in them, mowing, workouts, no stains or anything that bit of water hasn't washed off 🙂

  • +2

Great price, but they were $299 recently

    • That was a price mistake, almost 30 seconds after I commented the black ones being $100 less the price was updated to 399.

      • There were people that received orders if you looked at the comments, better to buy first and comment later!

        • True that, learned my lesson that’s for sure.

      • Amazon fulfills price mistakes. I have even seen $0 after coupon applied deals where in the comments people received their order.

        • +1

I am not saying Amazon one is a price mistake, I was saying the Myer one was, but evidently they honoured the sales before the correction was made so happy days.

          • @doobey1231: My bad I didn't click your link. I assumed it was an Amazon deal because they regularly have price drops/raises.

  • +4

$299.97 to be precise, I grabbed 2 at that price, one still sit in my cabinet, oh God please help me, stop watching Ozbargain.

This Bose QC45 are more comfortable than the Sony XM4s. The bass on the Sony are better but if you need it more than 2-3 hours straight, the Bose will be a better fit. YMMV

    • +2

      Pure sound quality? Sony
      Long term comfort/.best ANC? Bose

      Or

      Normal use? Sony
      Travel? Bose

      • +1

Yeah sound stage go for Sony but if you’re after comfort so you can use it for long hours go for Bose QC45

      • XM4 definitely has the better ANC, i was sad to return the XM4's cause of how good it was but i wanted them to wear for hours not minutes.

        • +1

Interesting, I prefer the Bose ANC but that might just be me

          • @AircraftFreight: Sony really blocks the noise that even on ambient sound to number 20 you won’t be able to hear noise. Unlike with the Bose, on transparent mode/ Ambient you can hear a bit of sound coming in.

For ANC both headsets are good but if you want sound to come in, Bose is better than Sony.

          • @AircraftFreight: I use them at my PC for watching movies and listening music and i instantly noticed that i could hear my mouse clicks compared to not hearing them at all with the Sony.

      • +2

The bose haven't had the "best" ANC for more than half a decade. The Sony XM3's spanked Bose.

        • I'd agree woth this. I use QC35 and my Dad uses XM3. His have a stronger noise cancellation but I didn't find them as comfortable for travel. He uses his at the PC for watching TV and movies whereas mine only come out when I'm on the plane.I fly frequently, he doesn't. Frustratingly it seems this is another case where there is no "perfect winner".

If you can get HN or JB to price match this (or wait a day or two and risk OOS), you could then get Bose to price match JB or HN and use a StudentBeans $40 off code to get it at $299 direct

    • How do you get Bose to approve the matched price from JB or HN?
I think it should be a publicly available price as price matches from JB will come through a unique link and HN through a coupon code.

      • but quite often JB will price match their website if a competitor drops its prices. That's what happened last time I posted a deal for Bose noise cancelling headphones

As for Bose price matching, I initiated it via their livechat as many others did—- and then they eventually dropped their website price too until they started selling out

…anyway it can be a bit of effort as their support is not the best but in the end I know many people including myself that managed success with the Bose price match + studentbeans code in Nov last year

edit: just noticed StudentBeans reduced promo coupon from $50 to $40 haha…

    • Bose has stopped covering student discounts and coupons applied over price matched items unfortunately :(

  • +1

Bose app isn't much chop I find

  • +2

Just an FYI I got these and they really suck in windy conditions. You can't turn ANC off so it just filters the noise into the headset.

  • Slightly cheaper here with march10 code to make it $333 according to Google
    https://www.lasoo.com.au/products/buymobile-australia/578318…

  • If anyone own this headset, is there static noise came out from right side of the headset? According to Bose it is normal because of their ANC technology.

I recommend go and try it at JBHifi before buying if you have sensitive hearing as you will get irritated.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/bose/comments/t2iuqz/crackling_nois…

    • Definite static or white noise in both left and right sides for me, returned them.

my bose QC35 from 2016 still going strong, only problem is i need another micro usb cable to charge.. !!!

  • Might be a silly question but can you use it while charging?

    • -2

      Yes

    • No, it's a good question. My QC35 headphones do not function while being charged.

so that's why I checked their website for QC45 - again same story:

      https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/support/articles/HC2482/produc…

"While charging, Bluetooth functionality is disabled. To play audio from and/or pair Bluetooth devices, disconnect the headset from the charger once it is sufficiently charged."

      • -1

They still function while charging, so yes you can use them while charging… But you have to use the audio jack cable provided.

        • But you have to use the audio jack cable provided.

Exactly. If a Bluetooth headset doesn't provide "Bluetooth" functionality, then it's not doing it's job properly (while charging). Hence the answer to above question is "No".

  • This or the 700?? https://amzn.asia/d/dqtd1Uv

    • No idea but apparently the Bose NC700 doesn't have much midrange - I'm no audiophile so DYOR.

    • +3

If you use the mic in noisy environments, then Bose 700 is a better choice otherwise this one is more comfortable and earcups are deeper.

  • these are amazing

  • This vs the 1000XM5s?

    • +2

If you want to use it for longer periods of time, go for the Bose QC45 but if you are after the better soundstage, go for the Sony XM5s
