Just pay your bill on time and then the rate doesn't matter…

    • Use a debit card and rates don't matter 🤷‍♂️

      • Use a debit card

Which means you pay your bill on time… Which is what I said…

        • If by bill, you mean the repayment amount (on a CC), then they don't exist with a debit card and neither do any interest rates.

If by bill you mean for expenses that are services (e.g. utilities), then you're using a limited time interest-free debt instrument to have your creditor pay your bills and then you repay that debt at a later date which is after your bill's due date. So you are both technically cashflowing your bill after it's due date, and you're accruing daily interest (which will only apply if you don't meet the CC repayment's due date).

5x 1c transactions at a supermarket were fine in my case.

      • ok i'll bite - what did you get for 1c each?

        • +1

You can use split payments for a single transaction.

Or buy grapes one at a time.

Besides the bonus $200 is there any other reason to get this? Any ongoing benefits?

      Any ongoing benefits?

It is for friends with benefits.

Can confirm that this worked for me last time around. The $200 landed in my Orange Everyday account a month after I made the five purchases. Hassle-free.

  • Does this apply to Orange One Low Rate Platinum Credit Card? Or just the classic card

  • Thank you

Anyone know if there is there a hard credit check with the application?

After supplying basic information and coming to ID verification website fails - "Sorry we should be up and running again shortly"
Edit: just my vpn it seems

Successful $200 in hand. Less than the 60days too. :) Thank you @djprima
Wanted to keep this account but not keen on their payment system where they will automatically deduct payment from the Orange Everyday account whether you want them to or not. Not my main back so don’t need the stress of keeping the account topped up if I use the CC.
Of course I pay my balance monthly but if I want to roll it over and pay interest that should be my right!

    $200 received, card subsequently cancelled

  • @djprima
Where do you see this coupon on ING website. The link that you shared doesn't say anything about this coupon.
    Thanks in advance

    • +1

It was emailed to current ING customers

      • Thank you for your reply
I am an existing customer and haven’t got one. Can you please dm me the email details.
I had this credit card before but got it cancelled, would you know if I still will be eligible for the $200 bonus ?

  • Has anyone gotten the credit when you had this card before but is now cancelled, and you applied for new card with this coupon

  • it doesn't work for me when I try from the app or even online… . wired

Received my card today, can the 5 eligible payments be literally anything? Ie: 5 chocolate bars over 5 days?

    • can be on the same day, just 5 separate transactions.

  • So basically I apply with the code, make the 5 transactions, wait for the 200 dollars and cancel?

Is there something I'm missing? I have a savings account with them, does that matter.

  • Has anyone received their cashback already?

  • Is this offer still on? I'm not seeing the cashback being mentioned in the campaign link any more. Not sure if I should still apply.

Targeted deal. Contacted the support and they said you have to be on their list to receive the bonus.

    • Really? How they track? It's a generic code

      • They say my name is not on the list. And there's literally nowhere for me to put promocode throughout the whole application.

        • +2

There is a field at the very end, right here. They might be rejecting applications without promo code applied

          • @djprima: I received my bonus today. Thanks OP

            • @Dr-Bargain: How long did it take from the time you completed the transactions?

  • Their criteria is too strict. I have perfect credit record, means to comfortably pay monthly payments, have had numerous credit cards in the past, and got denied by them.

  • -1

I received an email today and just spent 25min applying only to be rejected instantly as I'm a sole trader. What a frigging waste of time, why wouldn't the application process just stop at that question FFS!

"When we're considering a credit application we look at information from a number of sources.
You must be employed on a Full Time or Part Time Basis. Currently we are not accepting Self Employed applicants"

  • looks like great deal. why not many + votes? am I missing something?
