        Some areas have such soft water people haven't even heard of dishwasher salt. No limestone in kettles ever, no need for these filters in coffee machines either.

          I tested the water with the strip that came with Breville BDB, water was clean of hardness.

          That's why, I don't ever want to descale my machine. It broke when I tried to do it.

          Don't descale the slayer mod BDB, high risk of losing your machine 😂

    I've always been hesitant to trust these dropship style filters … End of day you're consuming what runs through it + using in a decent priced piece of kit… So have felt worth paying for the genuine, generally try to stack with another deal like a 20% eBay/storewide type sales where I can

      I just use a brita pitcher with Kmart filters, drops the total dissolved solids from 50-55 to about 40. Better than nothing I guess.

        No I mean the old style filter holder will fit into the new version water tanks. It's like the tanks are the same and mount is the same , it's just everything above the mount has been changed.
