    Now… should I be bothered pay bunnings a visit just to get my $10…

    • I did 😂, purchased last week for $89 and purchased one today for $79.99 and returned the $89 one.

      This is more like it! Don't really see the point of the weaker power version, you can use an impact driver with adaptor and match it for performance

      • I agree. I've got an impact driver that isn't much weaker than this impact wrench. I don't see the point in a low powered impact wrench.

        Yeh I was all set to pick one up last week then I saw the torque rating and decided it wasn't worth the money for such a low driving torque especially since i wanted it to remove stubborn nuts.

    • Would the 2.5Ah battery work with that?

      • -5

        Yeah Ah is the capacity or how long it will run for, if it is an 18v battery you will be fine.

        • +6

          The size of the battery pack can often impact the max current drawn. The 4Ah can supply much higher power than the 2.5

          • +1

            @chrismelba: This. The 2.5 battery is really only suited for the drills and light use gear.

      • It will work but expect about half the power compared to a 4 ah battery. You need high current (amps) for this tool

      • Specs on side of the box:

        2.0Ah = 150 Fastened Nuts
        4.0Ah = 300 Fastened Nuts
        5.2Ah = 390 Fastened Nuts

      • In the reviews it shows someone sing a 2ah battery and they are very happy with it.

        • +1

          It'll work but will be able to pull more current (and provide more torque) with a 4Ah as you have more cells in parallel.

      • Supercheap sell their 18v in a kit with a 1.5ah battery and advertise it as capable of 300nm.

      What why hadnt I seen this. I tried the cheap Ozito and it wouldnt crack my wheel nuts for me so took it back

      Ended up picking up a new in box 2nd hand ryobi with 350nm and it cracks wheel nuts without any issues

      • I have this ozito and have no problems cracking wheel nuts torqued to 120nm.

        • +1

          It did manage to crack the wheel nuts on my wifes car, these are standard shape jobbies

          My ranger runs aftermarket wheels and some funky anti theft wheel nut arrangement and the ozito torque wrench didnt have the juice to touch them

          I also thought if its struggling to do the wheel nuts it will probably struggle to crack suspension or steering parts as required so went for the stronger unit in the end

          But if it does the trick its a great buy

          • +2

            @billdsl: Agree. Useless on suspension. I have to get the air compressor and go old school on most suspension components.

    • Weird, because Oziro's target market will rarely (if ever) need this amount of torque.

      But perhaps it's similar to buying a car that can do 250km/h. Sure you'll never ever do it, but you know your could.

      • I used it to bust the crank pulley bolt on a honda motor. It worked great :)

    what is the regular price?

    • Usually $99.97, dropped to $89 last week and this week dropped to $79.99

      • thanks mate

  • Question - if I need to drive some bolts into a concrete floor, would I need this or would the 150Nm Impact Driver be enough?

    • +1

      …Are you going to drill a hole first? Impact drive isn't designed for drilling holes, let alone in concrete

      • Haha yes sorry, I've drilled the holes but was unable to get the bolts in yet. I don't have a proper socket set so was contemplating this impact wrench or the driver instead.

        • Socket wrench + long breaker bar but I suspect this might be cheaper haha

          • @eddyah: Yeah last time i just did it using a socket wrench, because i couldn't find in my workshop the socket size i needed for my impact wrench (the time i actually needed the bloody thing!)

  • Man, I fooled myself. I have been considering Milwaukee tools, especially the M12 line and thought Bunnings had started selling it 😓

    • Do you have Tool Kit Depo in Melbourne ? apparently owned by Bunnings and they sell Milwaukee tools.

  • +2

    anyone have a recommendation on a good Impact Socket Set to pair with this

    • I've been using these at least weekly. Didn't expect them to last for $10. I'd still pay $40 for them. Bloody awesome.

  • +1

    I went in to buy this but they had a Ryobi auto repair kit (R182B1AUTO14 ) on the "clearance" table for $199 and I couldn't turn down the option of the ryobi hp plus battery plus inflater plus little socket kit for only a few times more money…

    • I wonder if my local Bunnings would price-match, if I could ask which store did you get it from, or if you could share the receipt, please?

      • +1

        It was Newstead in Brisvegas. They had about 4 or 5 on the table. I'm too noob to do pics sorry

        • Got it, thanks, grb.

          • +1

            @Alrightm8: No probs. <tried to post pic for the record. And failed.> (it was $199 like i said…)
