I liked the heck out of this movie

    • I thought the whole trilogy was great.

      • Me too, they did a really good job of keeping that Rocky feel somehow

I rewatched the first Creed the other night hoping to smash out the franchise but it's so cringe I couldn't even finish it. Are the others any better?

    • +10

First Creed is the best imo, if you think thats cringe i'm not sure if the others will sway you.

Ooft yeah okay, I guess there’s no changing the fact that Michael B Jordan can’t act.

        • +3

Hilariously bad take. Watch him in Fruitvale Station and tell me he can't act.

@gotoadgo: I'll have a look. Admittedly he's great in The Wire but Creed and Black Panther it's shocking. Maybe he just started phoning it in after getting jacked and put into blockbuster roles.

          Agree with you there.

        • +1

Michael Jordan sure could ball though!

    Kickboxer 3 is better

    • +4

      that's got nothing on Kickpuncher

      • +4

Dont call me Kickpuncher, call me….. David

    • Rotten Tomatoes 24%

      • Grossly underrated, suggest giving it a watch.

  • Yay UHD.
Wish all the Rocky films were UHD HDR on Prime.

    • I didn’t know any were UHD, I just assumed they weren’t.

    • They were mostly on film. They'd be grainy nightmares tbh

      • I hear what your saying but film rules, especially for older movies. Digital is limited to the resolution it was filmed at.
P.S. film grain rules too! Better than smoothing it and out losing detail.

Hey mate, are you going alright?

You've posted a lot lately and the value is starting to veer towards that "announcement" type of quality…

There have been many a member get sucked into the addictive loop of posting and racking up upvotes and badges and it rarely ends well (see: Lysander)

Just hope you're managing your Ozbargain time and doing well

    • +1

      What happened to Lysander?

      • +6

Honestly don't know and won't speculate. I'll just say that I was personally not treated too kindly in the past (gaslighting, bullying, etc). Same with some others I know.

        • Gaslighting and bullying is a serious offence even when done online. What happened? And what happened to Lysander? Anyone know?

Didn't really like this one much. The first was good, the second alright - this one just fell flat and I wasnt convinced by Majors character either.

    • Majors character either

Agreed. The character flipped into (profanity) mode and out so quickly.

Crap movie. Making a Creed movie without sly. Disgrace.

    • He chose not to be in it

  • +2

    Watch Jonathan Majors hit someone

    • … who can fight back?

  • So Creed III… let me guess Creed wins again?

  • This was actually my favourite Creed flick to date, and none of them have been slouches. Thanks for the announcement.
