OZB_ARES_SPECIAL

Good afternoon OzBargain!

Our huge EOFY sales continue!

After receiving feedback on our previous deal, let’s just cut to the chase and get to it. I’ve done everything I can to cut down the cost on a 4070 build without compromising quality here, we’re still using DDR5 G.Skill 32GB RAM, the latest AMD 7600X CPU and a lightning-fast 1TB SSD. There is no other build on the market with the same parts and 4070 for this price. We've opted for the 7600X instead of the 7600 to optimise performance and reduce bottleneck. I’ve beat the PCPartPicker price by roughly $150.

You cannot compare this to a DDR4, undisclosed SSD and older generation CPU builds. We pride ourselves on our transparency and service, and part of that means that we will try our utmost best to use the best and latest-generation components. We are receiving marginal discounting on the latest generation parts but still passing on as much as possible while staying afloat and not compromising quality or service. The discounts you are seeing with older part builds will be much larger.

Our reviews are a testament to our service

What makes us different?

  • Guaranteed within one business hour response times for email, phone and live chat support
  • We’re proud to offer a fair and transparent price that our competitors struggle to match with a quality service
  • Usage of only premium high-end components with the absolute best value
  • Windows pre-installed and all necessary drivers
  • Each PC is quality controlled seriously before despatch, we run checks on all components multiple and stress tests including 3DMark and MemTest86 - your test results will be saved to your desktop for you to view
  • 3 years return to base warranty and lifetime support included on all purchases
  • All PCs shipped are packaged carefully – no internals can move during transit as we use Instapak foam that moulds around parts inside along with fragile stickers and tape all over your box
  • Your PC is built with passion, we don’t take shortcuts and keep all cabling tidy whether you can see them or not

You are also eligible for the Diablo 4 promotion (until June 13th) and Star Wars Jedi where you receive a copy with each purchase. You will also receive a month of Adobe Cloud for free from ASUS (if upgrading to an ASUS GPU).

Upgrade pathways to the 7950X3D and RTX 4090 are available!

Im new to the market. Isnt the 6800/7900 more bang for buck?

    • +2

Hey mate, no issue at all.

I believe you're referring to their graphics cards correct? AMD graphics cards are typically more bang for buck. The graphics card we're using here is from NVIDIA and the CPU is from AMD.

The naming scheme is very confusing, sometimes the CPUs and GPUs from AMD will double up haha.

      • +1

Yup just the graphics card I was referring to

        • +14

Yup! This industry is super confusing with the billions of dollars of marketing brands are dumping into the market.

The reason why we don't stock AMD graphics cards is that their discounting is even less and stock is more scarce for us. From our experience (subjective) their drivers are also not as stable compared to NVIDIA. Also, from our experience there's even less demand for AMD cards despite what people say on the media and OzBargain.

I hope that clarifies it for you!

          • @Nebula PC: lmao it's nice to see a non-fanboy based unbiased answer. Props to you.

        Thanks

        • +2

imacs haven't supported target display mode since 2014. Third party workaround like Luna Display is limited to 60Hz anyway.

    • +1

      Yes.

    • +4

Diablo 4 isn’t hard to run .My 9 year old rig slays it at 1080p high on a 980ti..Blizzard optimises games quite well to run on even potato rigs.

    • +1

This is essentially my PC (which I got from Nebula) except I got a 4070ti. It absolutely crushes Diablo at 4K. Very well optimised game.

  • Hey @Nebula PC, tempting deal. I've a question for you:

I'm looking for a rig that I can use for deep learning and one that I'd be able to extend and upgrade with time (future proofing). So to be more specific:
    1) Does this motherboard support multiple gpu? If not what would be a good budget replacement.
    2) And same goes for a compatible CPU?
    3) I'd appreciate any other upgrades that you think would make this build more DL compatible.

    Thanks

    • +5
      1. Just curious, is there any reason you want multiple GPUs? These new GPUs are extremely powerful standalone for what you are trying to do, the problem you'd face is the space available for a second unit I believe. There are more PCIE slots on the motherboard though.
      2. Same thing for CPU, it'd support one CPU not two if that's what you mean? For deep learning I think you need to be more specific so I can cater for your needs, it could be light work to very intense.
      3. If you want to have a dual CPU and GPU set up I'd say we need to completely overhaul everything haha. New case, motherboard etc…
      • Thanks for your reply @Nebula PC.

What I meant is a motherboard that will allow me to extend the computing capabilities in the future by adding a second GPU (so space is a critical factor) and not the CPU. In terms of CPU, I asked for one that would go well with a multi-GPU setup. And to answer your other question, it's more for intensive training.

        Thanks again.

        • +3

I think we'd have to go a lot more in detail for this kind of build, do you mind sharing your budget with me on our live chat?

Motherboards can go up in price quite a bit with your needs, but let's work out first what you need.

        • If you are thinking of using it for gaming, just bear in mind multi-GPU is not as well supported as it used to be (and even when it was, it had issues).

        • My brother in christ do not invest in multi-gpu. It is simply not worth it if you plan on using this as a personal computer, even if it is primarily a workstation. If you are talking about training as in machine learning there are much more financially sound options on the cloud (GCP especially). Better to build reusable pipelines as well.

    Nice

    Good deal, nice one.

  • +2

Good value IMO - I bought CPU (same) + Mobo (better) + RAM (worse) + Video Card (same) for ~$1400.

  • +1

    (profanity) sold !

After chatting with Lawrence, I ended upgrading the SSD to 2TB and also put in the Archer BT + WiFi, with postal insurance + shipping ended up just over $2100

    • +1

      Cheers legend! :)

  • +2

Hey there. What are the suggested upgrades if I am looking for 4080 gpu, so that it does not create bottlenecks (cpu, memory) and enough wattage for PSU etc?

    • +2

      Hey John,

Go for at least a 7900X (if your budget allows), 850W PSU and RAM is plenty. This is if you want no bottle necks, check out the calculation here - https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1j51cy/1/…

Otherwise, I'd recommend going with a 4070 Ti instead :).

      • +1

There is no need for a 7900x for gaming. 7800x3d is the best option. 7600x is perfectly fine too.

  • +1

Can't say i'm not tempted. Been looking for a new PC build but debating whether to grin and bear my 1070 for longer until next gen lol

    • Yeah I'm on the fence at the moment as well I'm still using a 780Ti

      • +1

Satisfy your temptation gentleman! haha :)

  • +1

    i think it's a great deal

    nice work OP

  • +1

Downgrade path to 7600 CPU? Getting a 4080 build under $2700 delivered would be pretty sweet compared to the BPC Tech deal from earlier in the week.

    • +1

I wouldn't be comfortable downgrading to a 7600 with a 4080, the bottleneck would be huge. I'd recommend upgrading the CPU or downgrading the GPU so there's no or less bottleneck.

  • +1

Very tempting. Can the RGB lights be turned off? Not a fan of those.

    • +1

Yes, all RGB can be turned off with motherboard lighting control software :).

I will guide you through how to use this!

      • Awesome. Just spoke with Lawrence from live chat for a few more questions, I'm sold, thank you.

  • So close, just needs an aio for under 2k (Pay in 4) and I'd be all over it. Guess I'll wait for black Friday deals. How does the foam packaging work with removal, I've seen expanding foam but that would be horrendous for this.

    • We use Instapak expanding foam, it’s not a liquid type. Foam removal is simple, you simply remove the foam protecting the components once you receive the PC.

You can get this build under $2k with a fan cooler, they work just as a well and will have less maintenance and are less noisy.

      • +1

What are the thermals like in average Qld heat 28°c, my current Intel rig which I admit is aging badly now but is 20+ tdp w lower than this, regularly hits 80°c and AMD used to run much hotter than Intel. What is the case like for dust repellency.

        • +1

Missed this one again, seems like I don't get notifications if it's a new comment trailing from a thread.

So for the new AM5 CPUs, the normal operating temperatures can actually be up 95 degrees celsius, these new CPUs run hotter and AMD has made this clear on several media posts. As for thermals, I understand Australia can get quite hot and humid. To combat this, I'd suggest upgrading to an aftermarket thermal paste and at least a 500 series DeepCool fan cooler. Even with the stock setup, it won't be throttled that much with higher temperatures in your Queensland heat. It has an okay stock set-up with two intake fans, I'd suggest also adding a few exhaust ones for the rear and top if your budget allows.

The case is great in dust repellency, it has a front mesh panel and exhaust outlets available at the top, rear and side panel. You can check out more info and the case here - https://www.darkflash.com/tw/product/show.php?num=140

Let me know if this answers your question. Happy to have a chat and go into more detail if needed on our live chat.

          Cheers mate!

  • +1

    Tempting.

@ Nebula PC What is best bang for buck suggested CPU upgrade if speccing the 4070ti?
    Will Ryzen 7700X match ok?

Should put PSU up to 850W also?

    • +2

      Hey Rocky,

Just sorted this one out with you on our live chat! :)

      • +1

Yep. All good. Thanks for that.

        • What did you end up going with?
Cause I'm interested in maybe opt-in for a 4070Ti as well

          • +1

@Jeaso: @Jeaso I went for the Ryzen 9 7900X on the Asus Mobo.

How do we claim the free. Diablo 4 copy of the delivery of PC is after the 13/6 deadline? Do we just get an email for a code from you once purchase is confirmed? Thanks

    • +1

      Hey Kepster!

It’s based on the order date, we will send redemption indirections to all. The redemption period is up until mid next month.

It’s a self redemption process on the GPU manufacturer’s site. For MSI it’s - https://www.msi.com/Promotion/NV-2023-Diablo-IV-for-RTX-40-s…

      • I see. Thanks this is so tempting! Can this setup run D4 at the highest settings with no issue? And can you recommend a gaming monitor to pair with this that is sub 350-$400. Thanks

  • How does this compare against mac mini m2 pro around the same price for general use, video editing (davinci resolve), and gaming? I keep readin that the m2 are great but the benchmarks are nowhere near windows. Am i missing something?

    • I have a tricked up M1 macbook Pro 15" and it's great for general use and Video/Music/Audio editing but not as many options for gaming. Have run a few things emulating ARM Windows but lots wont run.

    • +1

Cheers for your time over our live chat Ozboz!

      • I appreciated all your advice.

  • Awesome work rep. Great deal

  • Makes me regret not getting the 4k 144hz monitor now instead of the phillips one…

    • I got 2 from the Dell deal. They are awesome

  • I'd be putting a better cooler on it than the wraith personally

    • There's some Deepcool options you can choose on the site.

      • +1

Yep, decent tower cooler will do it

    • +2

Yup for sure, we would too. Just trying to keep to price down without compromising quality.

  • Aesthetics only…. Looking for a nice white build to come up m.

    • Same, within a price differential that isn't too large.

  • bought a 4k dell screen from previous deal for 500bucks now my 7 year old pc feels so old…..get this deal or the deal from techfast?? Gaming PC: i5-12400F CPU, RTX 4070 12GB, H610 Motherboard, 16GB 3200MHZ RAM, 1TB M.2 SSD, 650W Bronze PSU $1388+ Post

    • -1

My laptop struggles too! Hoping to get a budget PC maybe.

    • +2

      Hi 8millpond,

Missed this comment, we've been flooded today.

There's plenty of deals around at the moment however the parts you've listed there is vastly different to ours.
      - The CPU is 12th gen Intel (we're on the 13th gen now) and we're using the latest AM5 CPUs. AMD CPUs tend to perform better in gaming
      - I'm unsure what brand they're using for the 4070, ours is the MSI dual fan only as the base model. MSI is a tier-1 GPU brand, we don't like delving into the other brands even if it costs significantly less.
      - The H610 motherboard is very basic and is quite a lower-end board, when speaking with my suppliers they have noted that there is a higher failure rate with this chipset
      - The RAM that you've listed there is an older generation DDR4 variant and at only 16GB 3200MHz, ours is DDR5 32GB 6000MHz - the latest generation. Again, the same thing with the branding I'm unsure, but we're using G.Skill which is a well-renowned brand in the gaming industry.
      - Our 1TB SSD is Gen4 which is the best bang for your buck right now in terms of performance and price. I believe the build you've listed is Gen3 and has slower read and write speeds. The read and write speeds are extremely fast for the price on our build. Again, the same thing with the branding with the one you've listed.
      - The PSU is 650W 80+ Bronze compared to our 750W 80+ Gold, our brand is also clearly listed on this one. The brand of the PSU is very important, as from experience the PSU can fail if it's an inferior product, your PC won't boot and there are horror stories of unbranded and poor-quality PSUs blowing up and failing.

You get what you pay for in this industry, our build has the latest generation parts and high-quality components. You can access our reviews here - https://judge.me/reviews/nebulapc.com.au supporting this. We back all purchases with an industry-leading 3-year warranty that our competitors struggle to match as we are confident in the parts we use. In this case, I can safely assume that the warranty provided on the other deals will not be 3-years.

Let me know if you have any other questions, happy to help mate! Shoot us a message on our live chat if you want to go deeper :).

  • How much more would it cost to go for an i7 Intel CPU and rtx 4080?

  • a stupid question, can this set up run latest FPS games at highest setting?

    • What kind of FPS games?

If Valorant or CSGO, absolutely you can run it at the highest settings.

If you're playing 1440P Warzone you should also be sweet, but not on 4k - you might see a small performance hit.

Shoot us a message on our live chat and we can go into more detail!

  • Hey Nebula team,

Could you suggest from the post you a 4080 build with your suggestion of upgraded CPU so it doesn't bottleneck, also how will the thermals be and delivery time to Sydney ? Thank you.

    • Hi Kdonz,

I believe I spoke to you over our live chat already.

The 4080s are very power GPUs and it does require a higher end CPU if your budget allows, according to this calculation we'd need at least a 7900X for best performance - https://pc-builds.com/bottleneck-calculator/result/1j51cy/1/…

Thermals will run hotter than the previous generation, these new CPUs run at 95 degrees under load and it is normal.

Delivery is next business day delivery, for Sydney we'd use Go Logistics of Toll Express :).

  • Looks pretty sweet. Thanks OP.

Bought from Nebula the last deal.

Live chat support was great in getting some custom changes, wanted to add more fans to the case.
I ordered the Pc on a Sunday and it arrived on the Friday. So was a fast turn around time for a newly built PC.

Came pre-installed with windows11 pro (unactivated) as mentioned, benchmarks were left on the desktop and optimisation changes mentioned were made.

PC came packaged really good and stable, especially with these chunkier GPU's they filled the inside of the case with foam.

    Here's a link how it arrived: https://imgur.com/a/4dgd5t6

overall very happy with the support and PC has been amazing so far.

    10/10 would recommend !

    • Hey Denmec!

I didn't expect you to write up a whole detailed review like this haha.

I'm glad you're happy with our service and your build!

Let us know if there's anything we can do for you legend!

Cracking deal!!! I'm holding off for a 4080 like this from Nebula

    • Same.. I was fiddling around with cranking up the CPU and PSU from the recommended comment they made here to pair with a 4080 in order to avoid bottlenecking, brings it somewhere north of 3k with some cooling added for good measure.

Not sure if I should bite the bullet or wait for a dedicated 4080 prebuild..
