I watched it as soon as I got home from work. One of their best episodes IMO.

Wow, high praise. Now I’m excited.

      • +3

Don't be. It was watchable but….imo….bland.

Better than last few eps thats for sure.

Feels like they’re tired with cars, each other and a whole concept of “three idiots in cars”.

Clarkson’s Farm is way more enjoyable and entertaining to watch. Maybe because it’s a fresh concept 🤷‍♂️

@corvusman: The best thing about that show (which is the usual Jeremy does something stupid and everyone else fixes it for each episode) is comparing the way English agriculture is practiced vs Australian agriculture.
Jeremy’s farm, in the beautiful Cotswolds, is one of the biggest in the region. In Australia it is doubtful it wouldn’t be called a hobby farm. Jeremy antics aside, the cultivation techniques, grain handling, livestock management etc. the neighbouring “expert” poms use are a joke compared to the more soil, rainfall and biosecurity aware Australian equivalents is astonishing. And scale.
The oft stated claim that Australians brought European farming techniques to Australia might have been true for a couple of seasons at best. Then they would have quickly gone out of business. For more than half a century following mechanisation (and the example of what not to do curtesy of 1930s yanks) they learned how to treat the soil within the constraints of our climate. If Australians tried to farm like they do in the cotswolds they would never get a crop off due to our fickle rainfall, and any grain they did would be carried away by cockatoos, mice and insects.

Then there are the unbelievable levels of bureaucratic oversight and enormous subsidies. The English farmers are right to fear the entry of Australian agricultural products to their markets. We are easily orders of magnitude better at it.

@corvusman: Clarkson's Farm is on another level… I remember watching Series 1, 3 times over within a few months, true "buffoon in a tractor trying to grow food" entertainment, nothing had come close to it, before or after. Absolutely love Clarkson's humour, despite the controversies.

I don't even own a car (practically unnecessary), but started watching Grand Tour and old Top Gear reruns (special adventures only,) simply for the Three Stooges and their unique self deprecating humour.

      …. in the world.

  • Is it still a deal if this is the only way to watch it?

    • +1

No different to an always free game.

    • +9

I wouldn't go as far as to say this is the only way to watch it.

      • +7

        Arr, Matey!

      • The only paid way :p

        • Not necessarily paid in this case. As per OP "Free Prime Video trial available".

Black Mirror came out yesterday, that's an even better deal, it's a great show

      • +2

Tell me it's better value when Netflix starts shipping groceries.

        Prime is ridiculously good value.

      • Yeah not bad at all that, i like the short story format, all different.
Don't particularly like the underlying message they try and add (like becareful on social media, kids!)

Thanks, there's my Friday evening organised:)

thanks mate, now watching , this is so funny lol

I so cannot wait to see this! The previous episode, Scandi Flick, was the funniest TV I have seen. Also the most disturbing, what they did to that Evo.

  • not a shadow compared to scandi….was quite disappointed with this episode….

Great deal. I paid $399 for this episode from Harvey Norman!

  • +2

So far I did not mind the streaming deals … but to post now episodes of some stupid guys getting paid to have a crazy holiday is too much now.
Now using the block "Additions to Streaming Services" and it will go away.

    • +3

Agree, posting one episode is hardly a deal.. imagine doing that for every show on every streaming service.

I already watched it as the new additions and recommendations usually pop up on Google TV, and Netflix top 10 etc. Checking out black mirror though, good short stories..

I know its all staged, I know its politically incorrect, I know its the exact same show being redone over and over for decades, I know its the same stale jokes from the same 3 ageing boorish blokes ….. but i still love it every time, bring it on!!!!!!

  • Oh no!….. Anyway….
