Perth to Bali or Jakarta - from $350 Return (Fly from November, Includes December) @ Citilink Indonesia

130

Flights on citilink resume after a break.
From my brief reading, people have had better experiences on citilink (garuda's low cost carrier) than other asian LCCs.

While skyscanner doesn't show the flights yet, if you select specific dates, the flights will pop up.

Booking directly on citilink website https://www.citilink.co.id/en shows all dates.

Excellent deals to Jakarta direct during peak travel periods
e.g. 15 December to 11 January is ~$370 return

Includes 15kg baggage.

Europe is less than $1000 from Jakarta on Saudi airlines (full service) via Jeddah (usually)
Other airlines slighty more expensive
e.g. Turkey ~$800,
Barcelona and Milan ~$940

= Europe for <$1300 at peak period

Since there's probably no codeshare, you'd run the risk if there's cancellations but give yourself a few days either side and you should be fine.

Earliest departure to Jakarta I've seen is mid November.

Looking to travel in December, not sure I will use this but prices are great

  • Just be mindful, Jakarta is gearing up for election day in February. So will see an increased traffic in campaign activities. From history, some of them can also be pretty rough
