This was posted previously, http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/75855 and expired, but now it is back. Mod, please remove this if you think the older post should be updated to be available again.

but I am not sure why there was a backlash in the comments as I think it is a good price unless someone can tell me otherwise. If you sign up for their newsletter, you get a $10 coupon immediately. Additionally, if you pay by direct deposit, you only pay $287.05.

I don't know of anywhere where you can get the Nexus 7 for $287.04 delivered.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a better deal? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/78051

Also, from their newsletter, I think only the IXUS 230 is a decent deal.

    • The one at mobicity is the 8gb version though.

  • Your older link is to the 8GB model. OP's link is to the 16GB Nexus

Gotcha - another case of the Monday's… :(

  • Are you sure these charges are still not applicable?

    Your charges at a glance
Prepaid Parcel Post Plus 3kg Satchel $11.40
    Registered Post $3.20
    Extra Cover $3.00
    Total Charge $17.60

Plus when you put your postcode in to check for shipping, it said "Cannot use Topbuy discount coupon.."

  • fk this is tempting

So very tempting, but no MicroSD slot really is a deal breaker. I don't know what Google is thinking. None of their branded products have an expansion slot - like the Google Nexus phone for instance.

    • They're thinking they might be able to restrict you enough that you'll buy a google drive account.

  • from my past experience with this device..i think is better to get from local store…i preordered the first batch and got it DOA and got replacement from 2nd batch and has defect…and ended up got a refund…(just from my personal past experience.

    • thats unfortunate, got the first batch and it is awesome till now. what were the defects you had?

      • i am unlucky i guess..got a line on the screen. guess is like dead pixels

Try unsubscribing the newsletter and they may give you a $20 coupon to keep you subscribed :-) . Just put it to shopping cart and leave for 2 days (without checking out) and they can offer you further 2% discount. Last time, I managed to have it shipped for ~$268 but I canceled and bought a Sony Tablet S (32GB with cradle, shipped from the US for ~$300).

    • Lol. Nice tips from the OzBargain proshop.

Might get lucky by asking Officeworks to price match it http://mynexustablet.blogspot.com.au/2012/08/nexus-7-hard-to… but check their availability first

    Cheaper and has expandable memory.

    • I bought my Samsung Galaxy S3 from them and took about a week and a half.
