2.5% Cashback on ShopBack Supermarket Visa Gift Cards (Usable at Any Major Supermarket Nationwide) @ ShopBack

304

Hey there OzB, just wanted to call out our new Supermarket Gift Card launching today that can be used at any major supermarket, to get you 2.5% Cashback on all your grocery needs. These cards can be used online and in-store, so however you shop you can get your value back in your pocket. I'll drop info below on how this works, let me know any other q's and I'll do my best to help out!

HOW TO ACTIVATE

  1. Click “See Voucher” to start the process
  2. Fill in your details on the eGift activation page
  3. Click ‘I accept these Terms and Conditions’
  4. Scroll down to see activated card details

TO USE THE CARD

Online:

  • Enter the required information on the checkout page in the debit/credit card section (not Gift Card section).
  • Please note that online merchants cannot perform split payments, so the amount of the purchase needs to be less or equal to the value of the card. If the price of the item(s) is more than the value of the card, the transaction will decline.

In-store:

  1. Go to the wallet app on your mobile device (Apple, Google and Samsung Wallet supported)
  2. Click on the plus icon
  3. Select Debit or Credit card on the next screen
  4. Enter the activated card details. Your card has now been added to your mobile wallet
  5. Tap your phone to pay. Your payment should be processed as a debit/credit card payment, and not a gift card payment.
If the value of the purchase is more than the amount of the card, you can supplement the additional value with cash or another payment method that is accepted by the store.

GYB's Notes

  • Certain stores may not have functionality for these.

The Merchant Category Code (MCC) identifies the type of service a business provides. If the MCC listed above does not match the retailer’s category, then the transaction will decline.

        • Did you work out how to add them? The first one worked a few weeks back, but now it comes with an error ‘invalid card. Check the information on your card and try again’. I bought 2. Thought I would buy another 2 on my partners account. Same issue. What a nightmare these cards are.

          • @Mrdonedeal: Same boat. Not going anywhere no reply yet (must be busy). I could add few before these error message started to popup……….

            • @nobbobb: I contacted the issuer Blackhawk they said I had to contact ShopBack as it’s their card. They refused to help.

              • @Mrdonedeal: Yea im speaking to shopback which looks like its gonna take ages to solve………..

  • Hi OP, is there any way to check the transaction history? I tried my prepaid centre website as well as activ visa website and neither worked.

    • Hey mate, not transaction history specifically, but you can check the balance of these cards here if that helps!

      • +2

I have just tried and failed (this was also one of the websites I tried earlier before asking for assistance:D )

        • It should work as I checked the balance on this Activ VISA without issue.

        • Hey there, what do you mean it failed? This is the only site we've got to check on these ones and I haven't had issues on my end checking these, so gonna need more info to be able to help out.

  • Can't be used at Coles online which is the only reason I purchased it. Had a $300 card which couldn't be used for a $200 transaction

    • That's really odd mate, there's no reason it shouldn't work at Coles in that case so would love a chance to take a closer look if you're able to shoot me a DM!

      • Dmed

      • +2

there's no reason it shouldn't work at Coles in that case

        Are you sure?

Two points for you to consider:

        • Have you confirmed the MCC of Coles Online? For all we know, they could be using an ineligible MCC (e.g. MCC 5399 - Miscellaneous General Merchandise Store).

        • Coles (and any eligible merchant, for that matter) does not have to accept a ShopBack Supermarket Visa gift card, as they retain the right to refuse a payment method. If you actually read the Customer Agreement on the Coles Online website, there is a link to a payment page that clearly states Coles Online only accepts credit cards, debit cards and PayPal as payment methods. ShopBack Supermarket Visa gift cards are prepaid cards (which is very clearly marked on images of the gift cards), and is none of the three types of payment methods Coles says its allows on Coles Online. Whether Coles Online actually enforces this part of the Customer Agreement is a different question, but I would expect them to do so, especially since not accepting prepaid cards reduces their exposure to fraudulent transactions.

        • +2

I mean hell they don't even accept their own gift cards for use online. They seem pretty payment option adverse.

          • +3

            @wavesgreen: Maybe.

Coles Online takes preauthorisation for an online order at the online checkout screen, but the final amount is not debited until the order has actually been fulfilled. You cannot really do that with gift cards issued by Coles Group, because once activated, they only support transactions where an amount is deducted from the gift card balance (unlike gift cards issued by Woolworths Group, which are reloadable in terms of refund transactions).

Obviously, Woolworths does not think accepting gift cards is an issue, because they are happy to issue credits where someone overpaid for their online order using gift cards. However, that meant that Woolworths had to set up business processes (including in their online systems) so that someone who overpaid their online order with gift cards can have overpayments returned to them in some form that can be used on future orders (e.g. credits). That adds a layer of complexity to operating Woolworths Online, and Coles probably thinks that is too much effort for their online business not much gain. I mean, you could just say that anyone who overpaid their Coles Online order with Coles gift cards can have the difference sent to them as a Coles Groceries & Returns gift card, but then you have to consider:

            • How is the gift card delivered to them? It is via the email address tied to the online order? Is it tied to the online account so that it can only be used as a credit towards a future online order on that exact same account?

            • What happens when the overpaid amount is less than the minimum load amount for a Coles Groceries & Returns gift card? (I think that is $5, but it could also be $10.) Would you then change the minimum load amount to be $0.01? If so, would that break anything else in their gift card system?

Another factor to consider is that it is a lot harder to get your hands on a discounted Coles gift card when compared to a discounted Woolworths/WISH/Essentials gift card, so there probably is not as much demand for people wanting to use Coles gift cards on Coles Online. For example, Reward Gateway still limits you to purchasing $100 worth of discounted Coles gift cards each week, so someone doing a larger online shop at Coles Online each week/fortnight and only really having access to Reward Gateway for discounted Coles gift cards would probably not have as much of an interest in the first place to buy and use Coles gift cards for online purchases.

If you think about, MILKRUN (Woolworths’ online platform for purchasing items sold at Woolworths Metro and having it delivered within 60 minutes) does not let you use gift cards issued by Woolworths Group as a payment method, so it is not like all of Woolworths Group’s online businesses accept gift cards as a payment method.

  • Can I use this at Woolworths to pay for my groceries? It says it works at Aldi/Coles but I don’t want to buy it if it doesn’t work at Woolies

    • It's just a prepaid Visa card that only be used at certain merchant category businesses as listed in the OP. Woolworths is a Supermarket.

    • if buy in WWS a lot then better to buy WWS GC at least 4% off.

  • @gotyourback as pointed out by @Whatdafaq Coles online is failing with this card… I bought a $200 card, and can't use it to pay online… I have tried two weeks in a row and it has failed with a generic error.

Coles online support is telling me "It's Visa but prepaid cards and gift cards are not accepted".

    • Hey mate, yeah we've been looking into this with the network who power these cards to look into this and see if there's anything that can be done to work around this, I think in the interim the best bet is to reach out to our team via email at [email protected] with details of any trouble you're having so we can have records of specific issues and cards to look at, and know that these cards are usable at Coles in store in the meantime. Cheers for flagging mate!

  • This card is not working with Apple wallet. Stay away from it.

    • I've bought several so far and all have been added successfully to my Apple Wallet. Only annoying thing is having to type it in manually each time.

      • If it works for you it only means you have not bought enough :)

    • Get an Android if you wanna have fun with Activ/Ultimate cards.

    • Hey mate, sorry to hear you're having trouble, we did have some issues earlier in the week with redeeming these cards but have since rectified this, if you're still having trouble would you be able to let me know what's gone wrong here?

      • I've bought a card before without any issues and I was able to use up all the balance (used two phones)

The second card worked for my 1st phone but didn't on 2nd phone…

I thought maybe it doesn't like two phones so I removed it from my 1st phone and tried it on the 2nd phone… still doesn't work.

I was like 'ok, I can just use my 1st phone, no biggie'. Clicked the card (that was previously entered successfully to Wallet) and entered the CVV, and now it fails all the time ever since.

So yeah, haven't tried with android because I'm poor (hence, I'm using this 2.5% discount for groceries).

        • Hmm, super odd, definitely shoot me a message with the order number for the card and I'll ask our team to take a look.

          • @gotyourback: Yeah its really odd… I even tried the previous card I've used which is $0 now. Logically that $0 card should work as it was already used before but for some reason its having the same error.

Will send you a private message.

FYI, I never got any email/SMS confirming my card registration for all of those cards.

        • "The second card worked for my 1st phone but didn't on 2nd phone…"
same as mine. I just used either working phone to pay (yes bring 2 phones when need). lazy and not really hope on support.

          • @test8888: I think Apple might be a bit too aggressive with the anti fraud thing. If you read the recent pop ups in apple wallet it says a bunch of stuffs can determine your ability to add a card to the wallet. When you add a few prepaid cards in succession I think the odds are naturally against you from an anti fraud perspective.

As I said in the earlier post, just get an android. Even a cheap old cracked S7 still works with Samsung pay and Google Wallet will make your life much easier. You should be able to pick up a pre S10 model for next to nothing in the second hand market.

            • @truetypezk: Thank you for clarifying this. Might be an issue with that Apple Wallet fraud thing.
Sorry, just got no cash for another $100 phone.

I guess I won't be buying this card again. Such a shame, I thought I'll be getting 2.5% discount on my groceries…

              • @kovetig593: Yeah probably not worth it if you are just looking to get 2.5% off groceries.

  • Hi GYB, I just buy a new supermarket card, cannot add to my Apple Wallet, they said it ‘ Invalid Card’, and the supermarket card I bought in July still as same as that issued. Do you know how to solve that? Thank you so much GYB!

    • I met this on 2 phones now, had to use 3rd iPhone.
I guess it's as above TT mentioned sth. triggered, and probably max 10 cards allowed.

    • Hey mate, sorry I don't have a solution from my end for this one, we're investigating with the folks who help power these cards to see what the issue is and get a fix for it, but would appreciate if you reach out via email via [email protected] with the details here so we can keep proper records of this issue to be able to follow this up and help sort you out!

  • +1

Anyone else have any dramas with these cards? My partner and I bought two 300 dollar cards and neither of them worked. We have tried constantly to get someone at shopback to help us resolve the issue but no one will communicate with us. We are about to contact our bank and ask for a Charge back to our credit card. Such a pitty it was a great deal but if no one is going to help us we have no Choice.

    • +2

Hi there mate, happy to chase this up for you if you shoot me a DM with your account details! Sorry to hear of the trouble you're having, always happy to help where I can.

  • I find that transactions don’t show anymore for me in the wallet. A real pain to just see a blank and have to keep receipts and add them up.

    • Hey mate, sorry to hear of this, definitely some good feedback for me to pass on! Having a look, cardbalance .com.au also has an ability for you to check the remaining balance pf your cards as well if that helps out!

      • That helps gyb, thanks.

  • Plz add $50 denominations

    • I bet it will be the best selling denomination!

  • great

  • +1

I haven’t had problems previously but now I can’t add it to my wallet. I will be reaching out to gyb about this. Seems that I am one of many.

    • Yes me too. Has anyone had this issue fixed?

    • seems the restriction has been removed, I could add new card to all my 3 iPhones wallet.

      • Still doesn't work for me, shopback supermarket (or restaurant choice as well, all blackhawk cards).

  • have anyone try to buy giftcards from wws this week?

  • Was able to add the card to the ewallet today.

    • Purchased another one today and cannot add again.

      • can you think of any pattern that why sometimes you can add the card to ewallet but sometimes cannot? I can't add it to my iPhone wallet after adding about 10 of Activ card

  • Still doesn’t work for me

    • +1

Definitely reach out to our team via email at help@shopback. com.au, they can take a look at what the blockage might be from a technical side, I don't have visibility on this I'm afraid!

      • I have, still awaiting their response.

  • Blackhawk are a nightmare, SB should not be dealing with them.

  • @gotyourback could you respond to this particular comment - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14241804/redir

    Does this mean

    1) I cannot split payments between multiple supermarket cards and
    2) Worse, if somebody else in the store has used this, I cannot use this prepaid card unless I try again and wait for maybe 10 minutes? (What if somebody else uses it in the interim in the same store again?)

    • don't worry the 2nd, I tested to pay at different POS with different wallet at same time, all fine.

    • Hey mate, I haven't heard of any reports of users having trouble redeeming for this reason or issues splitting payments since the card's launch, and haven't seen anything from my side about this potentially causing issues. Should I see any reports of this, I'll definitely raise it with the network that manage these cards, I'd just need a use case example so they'd be able to look into it properly.

      • +1

I suggest you reach out to this user, who was unable to redeem a second ShopBack Supermarket Visa gift card three minutes after redeeming their first ShopBack Supermarket Visa gift card. It worked after waiting ten minutes.

This is a known “feature” when using other gift cards owned by Blackhawk Network (e.g. Perfect eftpos gift cards, Activ Visa gift cards, OnlyONE Visa gift cards) at Coles and Woolworths and ALDI (and presumably other merchants using MCC 5411)…

      • I had this happen several times after using the card 3 times. After 10 min it worked another 3 times.

        • Hmmm, in that case we'd definitely like to reach out to Blackhawk so they can log this as feedback, would you mind DMing me with your ShopBack account email address as well as the card number of the card you tried to use here so I can pass this on as a feedback piece for them to look into?

  • @gotyourback

All Shopback Supermarket/Activ VISA/Ultimate/TCN cards can’t be added to apple wallet. Pls advise.

I’ve recently added on a slow basis of 1-2 Shopback Supermarket/Ultimate Everyone cards to try and not “trigger apple wallet” restriction issue - it worked fine after I’ve added 6xShopback Supermarmet and 10x(500) Ultimate Everyone card and even made a purchase at IKEA this weekend.

However, after which I deleted and added previously funded Shopback Supermarket cards (I had several still), some other Activ-related cards: VISA, TCN Restaurant, Pamper, TheFork, etc - both old and new cards: either Shopback Supermarket (that has $5 left or new ones) and even a recently purchased new 1xUltimate Everyone card, they all come back with an error.

“Invalid card - Check the information and try again”

Everyone single Activ card - both old and new trying to be added to Apple Wallet. Existing ones are still functional. I even used a 1x200 Shopback Supermarket card at Coles yesterday and it worked fine. Deleted it and tried to add it back, resulting in said error above. Now I’m hoping I don’t have to purchase an additional phone/new SIM card to carry around just to add all Activ related cards.

In case you’re wondering, Apple as always said they don’t retain card information, it is Blackhawk’s end.

    • I’ve managed to narrow it down. I believe it to be a Blackhawk/Heritage Bank issue on the server end rather then Apple Pay/Wallet.

There was similar issues with credit/debit bank cards in the US. For example, a user was having an issue with 1 of his card not being added but the other 2 did. He had the usual run around from bank/apple. Eventually it was fixed when an IT personnel fixed either a code or some permission. Lots of trial and error. Other additional users with Chase got resolved by using the Chase app to add to wallet.

That got me thinking. I tried using myprepaidcenter app / TCN app for some of the physical cards that got converted to digital. I could now proceed to add the gift cards to Apple Wallet via the “Add to wallet” link within the app.

Manually entering the information still resulted in Invalid Card error.

      I proceeded then to try

Activ Shopback supermarket card (manually inputting) : Invalid Error

Activ VISA prepaid : Invalid Error

I proceeded to assume it’s an Activ card issue since they’re all powered by Blackhawk anyway.

However, I tried the new Ultimate Everyone egift card that was purchased and that resulted in the same Invalid error.

      • Hi there mate, cheers for sharing your experiences here. Typically these issues are best managed by our Customer Care team who have more direct communication with the teams that power gift cards, however I've asked our team to take a look at this to see if we can get some insight to share. Will update when I know more about this!

        • No worries. As it is a frequent occurrence,l with Blackhawk systems, I would encourage everyone to give them a call and send emails to escalate the issue to management. Now I’m stuck with a bunch of gift cards from shopback supermarket tcn (if digital), Activ Visa card. I actually just went on giftz to purchase a 750 Activ visa and tried adding to Apple wallet. Same issue. It is definitely Blackhawk related or as @WookieMonster would say Apple Wallet targeting certain (ALL) - Blackhawk issued Visa cards. I’m not 100% sure. But it doesn’t seem they’re taking the issue seriously as only the ones that add gift cards in rapid succession seems to have this issue. Or that added a certain amount of Blackhawk issued gift cards.

          • @k1vnwng: Hi there mate, I've heard back from the team that we have been investigating this issue with Blackhawk and they are hoping to find a solution ASAP but as yet haven't been able to diagnose the issue, so will update when I learn more. As for TCN, we don't have any similar reports of this occurring, would you be able to reach out to our team via email at [email protected] with the card details and the errors you're experiencing so this can be properly seen to?

            • @gotyourback: Sure np. I’ll email them. I just purchased a 750 Activ VISA from Giftz and it had the same issue so I reached out on the helpline which was apparently Blackhawk. The guy took my details and escalated the matter to the tech support saying hopefully they will have a resolution in 3-5 days. I said probably not as it is an ongoing issue for months and Blackhawk and Apple are pinning it on each other. I gave him the PCN of the latest gift card I purchased and informed him that all Blackhawk issued cards are not be added to Apple wallet. So hopefully it’ll get someone’s attention in tech support as I can see it being an issue with more and more customers adding cards eventually.

I’ll send tshopback an email now - seeing what kind of information they require of me. Thanks for expediting the issue with Shopback.

            • @gotyourback: Sent email with contact details. I did forget to mention only the 1 and same error:

“Invalid Card : Check the information on your card and try again”

              • @k1vnwng: I have had this problem for 2 weeks now with no resolution in sight.

                • +2

@povertytrap: Yeah I know. It finally got me. By mistake I added all the Shopback Supermarket, TCN and Activ Prepaid VISA and without realising they’re all part of Blackhawk anyway cause all my bank visa/mastercards added fine. I just assume I’m not adding too many of any individual gift card. It was only the Ultimate Everyone that I added 2 per 12 hours interval to get them to like 10-11 cards.

The call support did say that since it’s every Blackhawk card, they’ll get back to me within 3-5 days with a “working resolution” but I doubt it. They’ll probably asked if I tried did and that. But anyway, as long as they keep trying to fix it, I’ll be more than happy. I can still use the ultimate and active prepaid visa just not on Apple Pay but the shopback supermarket, that’s a problem there as it’s used mainly in Coles/Woolworths/ALDI shopping.

                  • @k1vnwng: @k1vnwng @povertytrap if you have any digital activ visa and want to still use them, you can go to amazon and buy activ visa physical cards with your digital activ visa, so that you can at lease use in store.

                    • @RTY: Thanks for that. I actually purchase 1x750 Activ prepaid visa (digital) from Giftz.com.-au, 2x100 Activ visa prepaid (physical), 6x500 ultimate everyone (Both Amazon) in the last 2-3 days. Some of which luckily was added prior to “Invalid card”. Well, I didn’t want to carry a bunch of physical cards around and with iOS 17 being released, it’s not limited to 16 cards being added to Apple Wallet but at least 42.

I did hear from someone that @AustinBlack is the resident Blackhawk representative here. Perhaps he could help expedite the issue. I did ring up customer service who forwarded it to tech support and said the usual 3-5 days and that Blackhawk will contact with a solution but from what I read here, their support is rather woeful and no one has any success or real updates lately. I’m hoping that is because they assume it’s an isolated incident, especially with Shopback Supermarket gift cards but this extends to all Blackhawk issued VISA cards - prepaid VISA, TCN, Restaurant Choice, etc

I should have an official update from Blackhawk in a few days. I’ll give an update then.

                      • @k1vnwng: I emailed them about shopback supermarket, activ and restaurant choice as well, none of their replies are useful.

                        • @RTY: I mean that’s probably expected of IT support and support in general of any corporation. They have procedures to follow. Check and balances. I did say I previously worked in IT security and that everything was tried from an end-user point of view. Even Apple gave the run-around and say they do not approve or decline card for use with Apple Pay/Wallet but it could be a Apple/Blackhawk issue. So I did inform Blackhawk, tried all possible solutions - date and time, supported region, passcode, and even updated iOS 17 beta 6, which allowed to add an additional 7-8 cards then stopped. It’s most likely due to rapid addition of the cards to Apple Wallet. I had brain fog and forgot that they were all issued by Blackhawk. When I was purchasing furniture from IKEA, I added 2x500 ultimate everyone card in every 24 hrs cause I didn’t want to trigger the system. So when I eventually added an additional 2xultimate, 1xthefork, 1xpamper, 3xsupermarket and the last supermarket failed. I assumed it was an isolated incident and then all TCN restaurant failed. That was an additional 5 cards.

The next day I tried adding a 1xUltimate and that failed and since then it doesn’t work. The last I tried was maybe 10 hours ago. I’m leaving it for a couple of days just in case there’s a “cooling off period” . There has been some reports of users being able to add some cards (some not) after a period of inactivity. For that period equates to how much time, I don’t really know. 36-48 hours could be a good starting point.

                          • @k1vnwng: I did forget to mention when there was no sales of ultimate cards in Coles/Woolies, before I purchased the ultimate everyone from Amazon, I was going to purchase them from Shopback as they’ve larger amounts up to $1000 as we are limited to 16 in Apple Wallet, but I read on ShopBack Facebook there was a couple of ppl that purchased it and it couldn’t be activated. Luckily I didn’t.

Shopback is a reseller of ultimate and obviously have no control/access of how to fix the issue but from their response, it seems they are corresponding with ultimate tech team aka Blackhawk and their response is slow or very limited updates.

It is an easily resolved issue. Whoever designed the myprepaid app (as old and lots of complain) + TCN app, there is a tokenised “Add to Wallet” feature. Having click on that, it allows my TCN restaurant, pamper, and all cards in the TCN app to be added to Apple Wallet (despite Invalid card when you manually input in Apple Wallet).

When I purchase Activ VISA prepaid from Giftz, the FAQ said to wait for email, register and activate and click on the “add to wallet” link. There was no such link in the activated page. Just how to manually add it.

                    • @RTY: Isn’t there a service fee for these though?

                      • +1

@povertytrap: Well, Blackhawk finally responded asking me for specific card. I gave them my recently purchased $750 Activ visa prepaid from Giftz. I told them I couldn’t add to my newer iPhone 13 - “invalid card” and manage to add to my old iPhone X.

They responded that it was successfully added and 231 was used, remaining 500+. The case is resolved.

I responded and said the issue at hand is my present phone. I wasn’t able to add it. They responded with the following:

“…It is not in our control the security protocols of the Apple Wallet.

Your Activ Visa has been successfully added to the Apple Wallet, you can see the card is compatible and the process was completed successfully on one of your devices, but we unfortunately cannot override or manage the wallets or limit the total number of cards a user can have in their wallet at any one time. These companies have their own security process that may stop a user from being able to add a card to their digital wallet.“

They didn’t even bother reading what I actually replied. I counter-send the following email.

“….Once again, I must add that it is not in regard to any limitation of limitation set by Apple wallet. I am under the limit of said feature. I am unable to add the Activ VISA prepaid card.

If the resolution is such that I’m able to add to an older model, I have just purchased additional Activ VISA prepaid card and will show my point in question. I’ll add them to my iPhone 13 and it’ll show “invalid card” in question with no other cards added. I won’t use these Activ Prepaid VISA and will submit another Customer Service Inquiry regarding 2-3 new specific cards.”

                        • @k1vnwng: Thanks for sharing your experience. It doesn’t fill me with optimism about this problem being resolved.

                          • @povertytrap: Me either. But I must say rather then be dismissive, she said the previous issue was case resolved and if I wanted to open another to inform her the numbers. I bought 2x100 physical activ visa prepaid on Amazon and registered it on myprepaid with both mobile, email and address. I deliberate tried adding both again earlier at 17:06pm and both invalid card. I screen shot it and she her the details required. I won’t be using the ese cards because if I did add them to my previous iPhone, they’ll just repeat the usual. It looks added on our end. Case closed.

                            • @k1vnwng: I wanted to inquire with the community. I could be wrong on this, but @WookieMonster will probably have more knowledge. Aren’t TCN cards issued by Blackhawk?

                              • +1

@k1vnwng: eftpos variants of TCN gift cards are issued by Vii.

Mastercard variants of TCN gift cards are issued by EML Payment Solutions Limited.

AFAIK, none of these companies are owned by Blackhawk Network. TCN is owned by InComm, which is arguably Blackhawk’s main rival in the gift card space. (And yes, that is the same InComm that owns the Coles Mastercard and Vanilla Visa gift card schemes.)

                                • @WookieMonster: I stand corrected. I actually told Blackhawk that you could easily resolved this by like TCN app with the tokenised add to wallet feature. Oops my bad. Thanks for the lesson.

                              • @k1vnwng: Universal Activ VISA can be added to PayPal while All TCN universal VISA/MC cannot. I spent most of the Activ VISA online without digital wallet hassle. But I agree the card here is mostly for in-store purchase.

                                • @Neoika: Thanks for that. I never knew universal VISA/MC at TCN aren’t able to. Actually speaking of which, isn’t card.gift TCN related? They have digital VISA/MC available.

                                  • +1

                                    @k1vnwng: TCN owns card.gift.

                                    I think Blackhawk owns Giftz.

You may be able to buy card.gift via Activ in PayPal, but limitation may apply.

  • I'm holding off to buy first time purchase by reading error comments.
I don't see many comments from successful users using it @supermarkets like Aldi, Coles (online /real shop) , woolworths, IGA.

Can we use these gift cards with Google wallet?
If anyone using it without any issue, please report it here. Thanks

I've had no issue using these in store at Coles, WW and IGA but I added them to my Apple Wallet long before people started reporting the issues with adding them, so my experience may not be exactly what you're after.

      • Yes I found there was no problem adding the Supermarket GC once a week for a few weeks and now they can’t be added to the wallet.

        • Bought one of these yesterday and it added to Apple Wallet just fine. Even tracked purchase transaction within Apple Wallet, which previous cards hadn't been doing for quite some time. So looks like issues have been resolved, at least in my experience.

          • @wavesgreen: I have found that sometimes they can be added and other times not. Usually, then they work the next day or a few days later.

    • +1

I have added them and used them at Coles, Woolies, Baker delight no issues so far….using Android….bit painful to keep track of balances…will be doing a split payment this time between 2 cards so will know whether continous transactions on the same machine works or not…

The best places to use are not Coles, Woolworths as eGCs can be usually sourced at more discount. Aldi, Asian Groceries, Fruit & Veges stores and wherever you can not source any kind of extra discount are.

    Now down to 2.25% cashback

    • Then the deal should be reported as expired.
