PlayStation Plus Deluxe TL₺460 (~A$26.30) for 12 Months + Fees @ PSN Turkey (Proxy, OlduBil, Revolut Required)

1250

Thanks to ISP / I Smell Pennies and the current Turkish Lira crash, I could stack PS Plus and EA Access for the next couple of years.

Evidence:
https://imgur.com/a/YVDryBt

Requirements:
• Turkish PSN Account
• OlduBil Account
• Revolut Account (I guess any Bank should work)
• Turkish Proxies
• patience

SETUP

Part 1 Turkish PSN Account

This will not work on your current Australian PSN account. You will have to sign-up for a new Turkish PSN Account. To do that, visit the PSN homepage and create a new account with the region set to Turkey. Use a fake address. (I usually use a hotel in a Turkish city.)
Alternatively, sign up on your PS5 and set the region to Turkey.

Part 2 OrduBil and Revolut

Thanks again to ISP / I Smell Pennies

Visit ISP’s post from yesterday and follow Part 1-2b.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/784047

Part 3 Turkish Proxies

You can use free proxies from hidemy.name and ProxyNova.

PURCHASE of PSN or EA ACCESS subscription

Top up your OrduBil Account as explained in ISP’s post Part 2b.
Log in with your Turkish PSN Account to your PS5 and add the OrduBil card to your payment method.
Go to the network settings and edit your existing SSID by pressing the options button. Go to Proxy, select “Use”, and type in the provided IP addresses in Part 3. (patience IS KEY! Most provided IP addresses won't work. You will get a lot of “failed” messages.)

Once you succeed, you must go to the main settings menu and go to Users and Accounts -> Account -> Payment and Subscriptions -> Add funds.
(If the proxy connection fails, you won't get past “Account and have to try a different proxy IP address”)
Add funds TL 460 and go to the PSN Store to subscribe. Adding funds is essential for subscribing. You can't buy the subscription straight via credit card.

    • I paid until 2030.

      • Jesus christ, $184 worth. It is a bargain though!

        • +1

It’s basically one year in Australia. Definitely a bargain 😄

  • Finding a working proxy is definitely the hard part.

    • Not really. 5-20 mins. Maybe I was lucky. But I bought multiple time with proxy.

      • Do you know which one you used?

        • I used a couple today. They are usually not usable for long. I usually use them for 10mins max and delete it from my network settings after. But sometimes after an hour it the IP doesn’t work anymore. I can have a look soon and post on IP here if that helps. But can’t ensure it will still work.

            @Yule: https://github.com/Snawoot/hola-proxy

I've used this for years without issue.

            • @stratbargain: Thank you for sharing. Can you explain what configuration you used?

              • +2

@Yule: Download the release for your OS - https://github.com/Snawoot/hola-proxy/releases

                EG:
                Windows PC = https://github.com/Snawoot/hola-proxy/releases/download/v1.9…
                Arm Mac = https://github.com/Snawoot/hola-proxy/releases/download/v1.9…

                Then at terminal/command prompt run

                hola-proxy.darwin-arm64 —country tr
                or
                hola-proxy.windows-amd64.exe —country tr

then test it by putting in your lcoal computer ip and port (8080) it's using for the proxy.
(on Mac you may need to make the file executable (chmod 777 hola-proxy.darwin-arm64)

                hope that makes sense

                • @stratbargain: Great. Will try now

                • @stratbargain: That's what I get from the terminal.

                  MacBook-Pro ~ % /Users/ay/Downloads/hola-proxy —country tr

I used my Macs ip 10.0.0.19 and 8080. Doesnt work. What am I doing wrong?

                  • @Yule: Sorry I always use local ip 127.0.0.1 which it defaults to but do if you want to use it from other devices, PS5 etc.

                    ./hola-proxy.darwin-arm64 -bind-address 10.0.0.19:8080 -country tr

                    and it will work.
And make sure you set the http and https proxy on MacOS

                    • @stratbargain: Have you used it for this specific purpose before?

                    • @stratbargain: It's working on my mac now. How do I set up the PS5 now?

                      • @Yule: Keep it running and point your ps5 to your mac ip just like you would the other proxy

                        • @stratbargain: I did that. But can't get it to work. Thats the messages I get.

                          • @Yule: I got the same CONNECT issue, but this proxy works on my phone.

                          • +2

@Yule: Hmmm. that looks like sony might be blocking Hola VPN. I use it all the time from my PC to buy games from Xbox Turkey and I did use it to sign up to three years of PSN about 10 months ago but it's possible they have started blocking it.

So looks like you can use it for other services but not PSN activation anymore.
Sorry if I sent you down the garden path.

      • Do you have to remove and re-add payment on the console everytime you decide to top up OlduBil and buy more?

  • +1

If this doesn't work somehow, is there a way to transfer the money from OlduBil back to my AU bank account? I'm asking this is because I tried the approach with FUPS app (also a real Turkey card), unfortunately it didn't work with both top up and subscription directly, now I can't transfer my topped up money back.

    • No. Requires you to have signed up with a Turkish mobile number

    • If you can’t find a way to transfer the money back, use it for Disney+ or Netflix or whatever you want then.

  • It should work with you FUPS Card. Can you add it to your turkish account payment methods?

    • I can add the card to the payment method with no problem, but I couldn't add funds or buy subscription directly, but I didn't do this via a proxy, maybe that's the reason.

      • Yes. Proxy is the most important part. Try proxies from the links I shared. Hideme is more reliable.

        • +1

Thanks, I finally made it work, FUPS card also works, the hardest part is to find the working proxy.

          • @sd4399340: Great to hear that your money won't be stuck on a FUPS card

          • @sd4399340: May I ask how you got the TL onto the FUPS card? I’ve tried via Revolut and it bounced back minus their fee. What bank details do you use for the transfer and what reference #? Or is there a better way altogether?

  • Will creating new Turkish account in Revolut and adding money to it be essentially the same thing instead of creating account for oldubil?

  • i cant seem to be able to make a turkish psn account - it just says "Can't create an account. Contact Customer Support for assistance."

    • +1

      on ps5?

    • +2

I ran into this issue trying to create a new Turkish acc on pc, try it on your PS5 instead, that worked for me yesterday.

  • So I can't use my existing Turkish PSN account from the last deal for this right?

Only subbed for one year and it's probably expiring soon

    • +1

      you can!

      • Legend, thanks!

        • +2

Confirmed, I added funds via oldubil card and just purchased another year, might try and stack to avoid issues

          • @designate: yeah i would at least stack 2-3 years before the loophole closes

            • @starspawn: Yeah but I'm sure the ozb community will think of something!

              • @designate: At the current exchange rate PS+ is available at 80%+ discount through this method, it won't last and will be getting a price increase like a lot of games have (Now between 10%-40% cheaper than Aus) already on the Turkish store. If you intend to keep your sub active for a while it might be worth stacking as many years as you can now.

          • @designate: Did you add funds through the ps5 itself or via phone/computer?

I can't manage to add via phone or computer even with VPN

            • @Thelobes: I followed the instructions, through ps5, add proxy (3 tries) add funds from acount then purchase the deluxe.

You must already have the oldubil card in your account, this was easy, added from the ps app.

              • @designate: No worries.

Maybe it's the address I'm putting with the card, I just put the original Turkish residential address I had when I made the account a year ago as oldubil never asked for one.

                • @Thelobes: I used the same address from the hack one year ago and it worked still.

  • +1

Anyone know what happens if you accidentally transfer over 2750 TRY?

  • +1

I got the US psn thing done because you could get subs for like $25. Now there is none. I’m in too deep to start again. At least I can play my aid online where I need to. Kind of annoying but it’s not worth running two.

Kind of annoying in todays day and age where they don’t pay to make and transport discs and we pay for the internet to download, they won’t let us cross over on games.

  • +1

It worked until the step "Add fund". An error keeps popping up "We have encountered some errors please try again later." when I tried to add 200TL.

    • This means the proxy isn't working. Try another one

    • some issue, I thought I put the wrong oldubil number. But after I re-enter it, it still has this problem. Several times.

      • Same. Could be the proxy. Will keep trying

Edit: it was the proxy. Eventually got passed this step.

        • Yes, I got through it as well. mate

  • Apparently there is an issue where SOME games in the game catalogue can only be started by the ps plus owner.
Best to keep that in mind if you’re thinking of sharing and playing the ps plus sub on your other account

  • is this the easiest way to do this? talk about jumping through hoops.!! (im still waiting for my identity/license to be verified through revolut after 1/2 an hour…)

    • Some people on my post mentioned Wise NZ Card.
This might be cheaper hence no fees, but I think you still have to find proxies.

      • i'm waiting on transfer from revolut to oldubil since 2.5hrs

        • Because a lot of people are exploiting it. Usually, it's quicker

          • @Yule: in oldubil ->My Account -> ID Veri & Acc Status are still not verified, Do i need to do anything here ??

            • @WhyMe20: No. All you need from Oldubil is a mastercard number.

              • @Azro: Ok, Still waiting (I re-verified all the numbers) .. hopefully it happens today

                • @WhyMe20: I also sent money via revolut to oldubil. In revolut it is saying successful but i never received amount in oldubil account. Waiting since 12 hrs.

                  • @vardan22: Looks like we'll have to wait till 2nd July(see below) for using oldubil .. Damn wrong timing .. :-(

I transferred $60(2 yrs worth) for the first run .. now got to figure out another way

                    • @WhyMe20: yeah seems like it. There is no option to cancel transaction on revolut as well as it has been successfull on their side :(

  • can accounts get banned from this?
And also what is better, FUPS card or olubil

    • I have been using my account for more than 6 months. No issues so far.
I only used Oldubil. FUPS is a little bit trickier to sign up.

      • I cant create the account. it keeps on saying "Can't create an account. Contact Customer Support for assistance." despite using different browsers. Using Mac to create the account.

        • it was easier creating a new user on PS5 and region-TR

      • +2

You knew about Oldubil for six months and didn't tell us?

  • +2

Finding a working proxy took about an hour for me.. Got plus extra till 2028 for 2000 lira. Thanks op.

    • You transferred funds from Oldu to PSN in one go?

      • Nah, I have used my NZ wise.

        • Do you still need proxy if you can pay with Wise NZ card? Is there a fee to get a Wise NZ card? Cheers.

          • +1

@ttkc: Don’t need a proxy if you just want to buy games, but you will need a proxy to buy ps plus, otherwise it will show some errors. There is no fee to get a Wise NZ card.

    • Great to hear!

    • Which list gave you the working proxy? I've been trying hidemy.name(hidemy.name) and ProxyNova(proxynova.com) with no luck.

In your PS5 do you need the internet connection test to pass when you edit the proxy? or can you ignore the failure and try adding funds?

      • I think I got it from hidemy.name after 1 hour of consistently trying. It was frustrating.. What I did is that I used my mobile phone to test the proxy, and when it worked eventually, I used the same proxy on my PS5 and it also worked fine without any connection errors. Using controller on PS5 to try different proxies might not be a good idea.

        • +2

1hr is long. But glad it worked. 1hr effort for five years PS Plus is still more than good. By the way, games, you can buy without a proxy.
I use a keyboard for typing in the IP's. But using a phone is a good idea.

        • +1

Cheers. Managed to get it working with a NZ Wise card. Sorted for a few years now.

  • +2

Found a working proxy here: https://spys.one/free-proxy-list/TR/

And topped up wallet using Crypto.com card and Oldu.

    • cheers!

  • Do we need a proxy or can we use nordvpn?

    • Proxy

  • Wow mega deal!!!

I only just realised it’s deluxe not the base version even. Still would have been a great price.

    So tempting…

  • +6

    Note:

Due to Turkey public holiday, there is a good chance OrduBil won't be processing transfers from Revolut until after the public holiday (i.e. 2nd of July Turkey business hours):

Jun 27 - Kurban Bayrami Holiday (Private Sector Half Day)
Jun 28 - Kurban Bayrami Holiday
Jun 29 - Kurban Bayrami Holiday
Jun 30 - Kurban Bayrami Holiday
Jul 01 - Kurban Bayrami Holiday

You can decide whether to wait a few days or still proceed. The currency exchange rate does change daily. There could be other ways to top up accounts in OrduBil without waiting for manual processing of the bank transfer (because the international bank transfer puts the money in OrduBil's account and OrduBil then uses the reference number to transfer to your account).

    • 2nd of July is a Sunday, so looks like 3rd of July might be a more realistic date.

      • I transferred on Jun 27, but still haven't received the money in Oldubil, Revolut shows "Received by recipient's bank" this afternoon.

  • Can’t load the account on OlduBil with Up bank debit card

    • Try using a Wise NZ card if you have problems with OlduBil.

      • +1

What cards work for directly adding funds to oldubil via the credit/debit card option?

  • Also, what happens if you send AUD to transfer to oldubil?

    • You can't. Oldubil takes only liras that's why Revolut or Wise is required.

      • Can i go through the standard Wise transfer without having a bank account with them which needs ID?
