            • @nold: Great. Mine isn't showing yet

    • They refunded me the 5% of activation fee! Check your transactions after the purchase.

      • Got the refund too

Add to PayPal working for me now. Was able to add 4 cards.

Thanks for the update. I was also able to add a card to PayPal.

looks like the Day1 sales report gave them a heart attack - either that or thanks to our collective efforts here at OzB

Confirmed it's working with PayPal to buy Wish gift cards from Woolworths seniors discount portal

    • I wonder what the chances are that they'd be blocked again after the promotion. I do recall that previously physical cards started getting blocked in PayPal right after the promo concluded.

      • Wouldn't risk holding onto the prepaid MasterCard due to them being hacked.

    • Is this done just by adding a card as you would a normal credit card?

      • Yes just using the add card option in PayPal

Nothing against OP (thank you!) but the 2.3% discount or $5 savings associated with all risks is not worth it to me.

  • I used this card to buy supermarkert on shopback. Bonus 2.5%.

Rookie. 5% Wish gift cards are a better deal

      • +3

It would be a better deal if you actually want to shop at Woolworths and you are purchasing items that can be purchased using a WISH gift card and you have access to 5% off WISH gift cards.

        Last time I checked:

        • You cannot use WISH gift cards at supermarkets other than Woolworths / Woolworths Metro. Have fun trying to use a WISH gift card as a payment method at Coles or ALDI or the local IGA or the local Asian grocer.

        • You cannot use WISH gift cards to pay for some items at Woolworths / Woolworths Metro (e.g. gift cards, some SIM cards). With the Shopback Supermarket Visa gift cards, you can purchase most gift cards (and presumably all SIM cards) at Woolworths / Woolworths Metro.

        • It is generally difficult to purchase WISH gift cards at a 5% discount everyday. For example, the only ways I can think of are via the NSW or VIC Seniors Card programmes or Australian Partners of Defence (APOD). Yes, there are Prezzee deals you can take advantage of to get WISH gift cards at a 5+% discount (as an example), but those are not available everyday and are limited in the amount you can purchase.

  • I tried using the Mastercard at Costco fuel and it got declined. No refund yet, still in "pending transaction after 5 days :-(.

    • +1

I would have been surprised if it worked, because the gift card's terms and conditions states that you cannot use Coles Mastercard gift cards for "pay at the pump" (i.e. at unattended service stations, of which Costco is an example).

  • +1

I did not know that it can't be used at 'pay at the pump. I don't understand how they took the money when the card got declined. I hope I will get the money back. It's going to be a headache to chase it with Coles.

Edit: Got the money back into the card this morning.
