Keep in mind that the replacement for this is launching in 3 days and the Flip 5 is getting announced in 3 weeks. $749 is a decent price but it's only going to be updated till Android 14 according to Motorola's website ("two OS upgrades" and it launched with A12).
Edit: IMO even at this price it might be worth it to wait for the first round of sales for the FlIp 5. It's basically going to fix the crease and outer display. Plus Samsung is going to give software support for much longer.

Yeh feels like motorola phones always get massively discounted after a few months; including all those Edge and G models that are regulars on OzBargain pages… So probably won't have to wait long for that one to reach $749 or less :/
In confused the 40 seems to be a better choice than 40 Ultra.
40 has slower processor but better camera and battery?
40 ultra also has a much larger 144hz folded screen which the 40 lacks
The 40 gets the postage stamp outer screen, the 40 Ultra has the (IMO very valuable) full-size outer screen.
Still waiting on a decent deal for the Oppo Find N2 Flip. Seems like it's never dropped below ~$1350.
Compared to Samsung Ui and Pc connectivity much better on Samsung, coming from a razr 2020 to a Flip 4. Also be very carefull with top screen on Razr will break easily if dropped as the glass goes right round to the edge.. My opinion the Razr looks better but the Samsung is just so much better…….

To what? Oppo has the same updates timeline but no dex. Motorola has nice hardware but the software updates is lacking. Google 5 years updates but only 3 OS update. Iphone is different OS with too high price tag.
There is no perfect brand.
I wonder, i never used Dex… What do you use it for usually?
I used to have Huawei phones that had a Dex equivalent and I never used it too.
Maybe hopper is ditching phones entirely
