for those who don't speak AMD, 6650 is a 3060 equiv.

    $700?

    not behd.

    • good

    • Whats 6700 then?

      • +2

        Between a 3060ti and 3070

        • +1

TBH, it'll probably overtake the 3070 in newer games. The extra 4gb of VRAM is really going to help.

      • 100 more than 6600

      • +4

        @And0: as a guide only-> https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/PNRLvK9JkecJuZMTEXbGaG-120…
For some-GPUs, the average FPS don't match-up against other reputable sites: Tom's Hardware fudge-factor…read carefully & widely.

        • Can you name these other sites and do they have similar pics? I'm interested :)

    • 6650xt begotten for 350$~
      6700xt less than 480$

        • Yep. Search Ozbargin for current and previous deals for the graphics card your looking for. Also use Google or whatever search u want.

Every price or eg I've ever listed is always from historic Ozbargin or memory. During sales from ebay there have been some really good deals. I'm not a PC builder so I don't keep searchable records, usually just screenshots etc.

Research is easy on the net for things like this - most Ozbarginers don't do this..

          For reference:
          https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

If you scroll down a little in that above article you can see 4 images of performance, 1080 ultra, medium, 1440p, 4k and it gives a rough idea where your GPU stands in the benchmarks.

    • -3

oof, I guess you do not have a good command of AMD either, 6650XT is 13% faster than 3060, and 3060's RT performance is pitiful, FSR is almost as good as DLSS, then again, DLSS in 1080p is not recommended due to how blurry it is. Literally, no reason to go with 3060. $700 is a pretty good package deal considering most RX6650 XT deals are around $520inc.

      • +1

        not everyone games brother.

the 3060 is better for video production, 3d rendering, animation

      • +1

RX6650 XT deals are around $520inc.

        Wtf, don't pay 520$ lol. That's a rip off in today's market.

        359$

        • $700 is a pretty good package deal considering most RX6650 XT deals are around $520inc.

They were talking about PACKAGE DEAL!!!!!

          • @watyoulookat: I did say

Reasonably priced. DIY you can save more for the $999 build but the 699$ is within 100$~

So what you've said here below

considering most RX6650 XT deals are around $520inc.

They were talking about PACKAGE DEAL!!!!!

Enlighten me with a few links for package deals at 520$ - I've checked Ozbargin briefly, couldn't find anything via search for this year better than $699.. And if you think 700$ is a good deal for something you can get at 520$ u need to learn some maths and percentages - if I could get something the same or similar at 520$ I'm never paying 700$ that's 25% difference!

      • DLSS actually looks noticeably better than FSR. FSR has improved a lot, but DLSS still looks much better.

    • It's closer to a 4060 than a 3060 as long as you exclude RT performance which is kind of useless on a 4060 anyway.

    • +1

Regarding R5 5500 | 6650XT: pls take these comments as a guide-only & you must be satisfied with your-OWN readings.

      FPS @1080P: 6650XT vs 6700XT, search for your games -> https://www.gpucheck.com/en-usd/compare/amd-radeon-rx-6700-x…
A520 Motherboard: PCIe 3 vs 4: given the LOW-end GPU, may be the PCIe 3 adverse impact is too small to worry about?
PSU: consider $59 upgrade to 650W 80 Plus Bronze, especially if you plan to push your system hard all-the-time. Read up on efficiency ratings.
Case: Antec DP301M: poor-airflows, see my detailed comments noted @ this deal.
Andrenalin driver for 6650XT: if this is your 1st AMD-GPU, investigate this also. May be 6650XT owners can help ?

      Good luck with your research.

    • Buyer Beware, !!!!

Carefully check your configuration, Just bought an expensive PC from here and realised the default version doesn't even include a WIFI Card !!! it only has a network card.

Plus the build wasn't done right one of the HDMI ports is not usable as we can't plug a cable into it !!! because hte case sort of interferes with it.

Also note we went in thinking to buy local for better suppor and then realised there is NO PHONE NUMBER LISTED FOR SUPPORT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to send an email and wait for a reply !!!

      • 'the devil is in the details'….& novice buyers are caught-out all the time.

TF low-end deals keep cost down via low-tier Mobo: no wifi.

There are little margin in their deals & hence limited IT-support. With the money you saved, invest time on finding potential solution for your problem, with TF guidance via email.

The 5700XT build seems like really good value, unless I'm missing something??

    • +5

      Motherboard is pretty bad

    • Yes you are. they are pretty the same price If you buy them separately.

    • @RG146: before you get too excited …
A520 Mobo: read widely on PCIe 3.0 vs 4.0
Case: make sure it has good-airflows. Mobo is likely LOW-tier & hence its VRM-thermal is just-enough & that's with with good-airflows: are you going to stop playing games with high room temp. on hot summer days ? Antec DP301M: Techfast 's link noted '2 preinstalled 120mm case fans' & @ Antec website you can see that the front-panel is 80% solid & 20% mesh-> likely that your parts will be fried, say blue/black screens from GPU crashing. May be Techfast should NOT have offer this case as novice-buyers is UN-aware.
No overclocking: LOW-tier mobo & PSU are likely to fail.
May be 'the devil is in the details' ?

Hi Gamers, I am doing a review: Gaming PCs LOW-end Systems Only-> LOW-tier vs MID-tier. Much appreciate your support-> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/788858

      Happy gaming.

    • +1

Looks like good value to me. Some people will be dramatic about cheaper parts 'frying' or 'blowing up'. I've built budget PCs with lower priced parts since the early 2000's and have only experienced one RAM failure in 2006 and a PSU that wouldn't turn on after it had been in storage for 3 years in a coastal area which pretty much (profanity) any electronics I had. Everything else has been fine, mind you I'm not playing at ultra for 23 hours a day or interested in overclocking to get an extra FPS on things, perhaps that's what these guys do? idk

      • @chasls123: I am sure he wrote with good intention.

Gamers wants to play @ ULTRA setting with smooth-FPS, 60+ min. This pushes their systems hard & they run hot.

Regarding these comments 'Mobo is likely LOW-tier & hence its VRM-thermal is just-enough & that's WITH good-airflows': my case has 4 fans, 50%+ mesh-front panel, & Ashrock H510M-HDV mobo. On 15-Jul-23: gaming OverWatch2 @ 1080P-ULTRA & room @ 17°C, I recorded 57°C @ VRM via a Milwakee temp. gun 2268-40. On hot summer days, it's common for my room temp hitting 30°C + & I expect the VRM to be close to the limit of my safe operating temp.: 80°C or thereabouts. No OC.

POOR AIRFLOWS: triipwire's system has 4 fans, but glass-front panel with just side-vents, he commented https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/771991 & he bought this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/765263.
Another example: 100% mesh-front panel but just 1 fan only https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/763319

When you cheap out on parts, you are taking risk…but do it with research & educated-guess. Hope-for-the best is too risky ?

ALL-sellers sometime offered parts that make their deals NOT 'fit-for-purpose'. May be they ALL need to raise their standard, as a minimum, good airflows: 3/4 fans & mesh-front panel ? Also, if there are any limit, they should SAY-SO, then it's your fault because you cheap-out.

If you push your system hard, may be it's prudent to monitor the temp. of your parts: say HWinfo64 S/W. Assuming that you want your system to have good-chance to see its 4th birthday: may be blue/black screens are too late ?

Wondering which B550 board is Techfast using…..

  • +3

@luketechfast are you binging back too the 3060ti build?

  • +7

Hardware Unboxed did a video recently on RX 6700XT for the Best Value 1440p GPU That You Should Buy.

  • +3

Get some DDR5 + AMD up in here Luke

  • bruh

  • Reasonably priced. DIY you can save more for the $999 build but the 699$ is within 100$~

  • +1

Whats the advantage of the B550 board? They both seem the same spec to me.

    • +3

A520 only supports pcie gen3 on nvme ssd and GPU, 6700xt use pcie gen4, not much bottleneck tbh. Techfast charges too much for the upgrade as always, unless their b550 boards has much better cooling and 4 dimm slots. Better cooling will help precision boost overdrive a bit, 4 dimm slot can allow u to double the memory urself

  • Are these good for davinci resolve? Not able to find benchmarks anywhere but read that 3060ti/Nvidia might be better?

  • +2

    New to pc gaming.
Can someone explain to me what this would be capable of? I would look to play games like dayz or arma. Also animation software. Every time I see a pc posted in this site I see a million comments about why it sucks or what’s better

    • I'd suggest walking into a computer store and having a chat, searching google for good PCs for animation and 3d, or ask on the animation software forums or reddit. Plenty of info already out there.

      Also animation software

Not very specific, 2d animation, 3d animation, cell-like animation - they all have different hardware requirements.

    • +1

As someone who plays Arma 3 (Antistasi and Exile), I can say with confidence that these machines would both handle it with ease.
The more expensive system of the 2 would deliver much better performance (as my friends and I discovered moving from AMD Zen 2 to Zen 3 CPUs). Plus the extra V-ram on the graphics card would be more "future proof" for other titles down the line.

The main things people complain about with Techfast PCs are the slow delivery turnaround, the unbranded power supplies, cases with poor airflow and expensive part upgrade costs. It's worth getting quotes from a couple of other stores to see how they'd stack up, but I suspect for an everyday PC user, these machines would be fine.

      • unbranded power supplies, cases with poor airflow

I agree here too. Replacing with gold rated psu and decent case probably ups price by minimum 150$

  • Has techfast fixed its support problems and part reliance issues yet? Hesitant to buy anything from techfast until they're fixed…

    • Just received my sons new rig. about a month turnaround. 2nd PC purchased from these guys in 4 or so years. Great communication this time (Caleb). Have not had to claim warranty on either unit. I cant be happier on the communication front even with a Diablo 4 redemption. I sent a message about 2-3 weeks in as I had not heard much, next day response with an update then shipping details arrived soon after.

  • @luketechfast How many 6650XT builds left in stock?

  • +3

Hey @luketechfast does this come with free game starfield?

  • +2

Would this include a copy of starfield that comes with the amd card promo?

  • I've got a 1660 super, just sitting in a box from years back when I bought it whilst awaiting the 3080 which came the very next day….

Is it a waste to look at these specs and minus the GPU and put the 1660 in it? Just for a 6 year old.

    Thanks.

    • Which 1660 super?

You can do a better PC. Use pc part picker, for basic compatibility checks, go with:

      AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU
      Your 1660 Super GPU
      B550 Motherboard
      16GB RAM 3200MHz-3600MHz
      512GB M.2 NVMe SSD
      650-750W Gold PSU
Better Case, around 100$~ review sites will give budget case ideas with good airflow and budget gold psu too.

*upgrade some parts later, personally I'd get 32GB RAM cause it's cheap and won't be forever

  • +1

it's quite cheap, but I like Enigma's transparency.

  • @luketechfast got any 4070 deals coming up?

  • MADAFAKA my AM5 6700XT is close to 2k!!! been collecting parts since last December. Like yea, i have better components like better PSU, AM5, 16GB 6000Mhz RAM, way better storage space but still!!!

  • Just pulled the trigger on the RX 6700XT build. I expect to be a decent upgrade on my current build the classic ozbargain fave, dell optiplex sff with a 1050ti…

  • +2

    This r7 5700 6700xt deal or enigma r5 5600 3060ti deal?

    • 3060 ti is better

      • +2

Less GPU ram and worse CPU. The 3060ti build is worse for pure gaming.

        • Less GPU ram

is not indictive of how capable a graphics card is

The memory bus is important, 6700xt has 192-bit and 3060ti has 256-bit, but end of day benchmarks 6700xt beats 3060ti but by a slight margin. I'd be choosing the use case for what card u select. If u need DLSS over FSR go Nvidia, if u want more performance or FSR go AMD - either cards are good :)

          • @cobknob: As a novice buyer which one is better for future proofing? Whats the difference between DLSS and FSR?

            • +1

@FrugalFrodo: Neither. They're AM4 socket motherboards. You need AM5. No point future proofing in todays climate. Just go by your use case and budget.

DLSS and FSR are upscaling methods to improve graphics. Google it to find a better response than I can give. So at some point chipmakers gave up on native resolution processing power, imo this is why DLSS and FSR was born.

  • Are the parts in the prebuilt all new?

  • +5

The 6700XT build in case any one is interested. I just chose the cheapest parts I could that seemed to match up.

    • Nice work!

      699$ build 550W PSU Bronze 65$

Only 4$ lower than 650W in the 999$ build and they probably use generic PSU for less than 40$ that has no rating since they haven't specified.

I just chose the cheapest parts I could

That's pc part picker. You can save a bit more on both, just gotta get specials and, free shipping too.

      • That's pc part picker. You can save a bit more on both

Do you mean an alternate site to PP for Au pricing?

        • It's called Google cause not all prices are on PPP, or reflected instantaneously and obviously checking other sites too for specials etc

          • +1

            @cobknob: Ok, way I interpreted.
If I know the actual part I'm chasing I do a quick web, static.
Whilst not perfect (nothing is) PP makes it time efficient, most the time.

            • @linoc66: I agree. I usually check google, ebay, staticICE, amazon and sometimes PP (for PP if I wanna check basic part compat at same time as prices)

        • I just picked Australia from the top right of the page.

          • @KarlDilkington: OMG! what a Nob! I had my local msy & ple selected as merchants.
            Getn ur prices now

            • @linoc66: PLE is pricey aye - I bought several components a while back in 2019/20 and probably won't do it again

    • Thank you for putting in effort to your post.

Curious - how did you filter search/discover the "No Prices Available" parts? (I always filter by price)
Weird how it doesn't show stock & price/s in results, yet does if open item page.

Also, why select 5500 over 12100? (~+10% performance for +$5).

      • From memory ain't Intel motherboards more expensive?

        • Only a few $'s via price filter.
~$20 based on however Karl decided to select AR A520M-HVS, when it had no price.

Regardless, issues/returns with amd boards cost$ more in the long-run, so unless requested I avoid. Wasn't an issue until 3600 fanfare.

          • @linoc66:

issues/returns with amd boards cost$ more in the long-run

Thats your experience and opinion, some people may say the opposite in the industry - usually a coin-flip

Otherwise I really haven't dived into the motherboard and CPU combo side of things for this post

      • I didn't have any show no prices available.

  • Has anyone tried 6700xt for video editing? I am reading that it might have some issues

  • Which one offers a better value for money between this deal:

    R7 5700X, RX 6700XT, AMD A520, 16GB 3200MHZ $999 | R5 5500, RX 6650XT, AMD A520

    And the previous:

    Ryzen 5 5500, RTX 3060Ti 8GB, A320 motherboard, 16GB 3200MHZ RAM, 750W PSU, 500GB M.2 SSD $799

Is it worth paying the $200 extra, I'm more confused now…

More of a casual gamer and wanting to upgrade my ancient pc and maybe get back to some gaming again.
Will be pairing this with a new 27inch 1440p144hz monitor.

    • Yea I think the 3060ti is the better deal. but it's expired unfortunately. Wana buy it too, but might go with the 6700xt instead, although 3060ti is better for everything besides gaming.
You could still go with enigma offer, think it's worth the extra 100$ though not performance wise

    • @Rawrkun: as a guide, scroll down to 1440P & find your game's FPS: 6700XT vs 3060Ti…is there enough FPS to make your gaming smooth & enjoyable-> https://www.gpucheck.com/en-usd/compare/amd-radeon-rx-6700-x…

      May be test gaming @ 1440P on a 27" monitor at gaming-lounges & see if it's MORE-enjoyable & immersive: personal preference ?

As a guide, moving from 1080P to 1440P system will cost you 50% more.

  • Can we install another ssd later on or that's not possible with this motherboard?

    • Not another M.2 NVMe. Only has 1x slot. You can connect SATA 2.5" drives though.

    • Well you can replace the M2 (or add a 2.5")

  • how would this run minecraft?

    • +2

I think the graphics could be a bit blocky.

  • +1

I was thinking of jumping on this and upgrading my from a dusty Optiplex 9020 with a nivida 1030 card in it.

I don't want to pay a huge amount as I'm not an avid gamer. I mainly use my current PC for light gun gaming and a driving build with my newly purchased g29.

I presume the R5 5500 would be more than sufficient for this use case considering what I would be coming from. I can't see me playing in much more than 1080p for a long time. Even as newer light gun games get released from Patron (Time Crisis 5 for example), I don't think they are that resource intensive that this rig couldn't handle it.

I've been out of the PC gaming and buying scene for a lonnnnnnng time so would welcome any advice and thoughts from the community.

    Cheers

  • Does anyone know if you can disable fan RGBs? Never understood the whole bright rainbow thing 😅 I see they're fixed RGB so assuming it'd be custom mod?

    • I'd be interested in this too. Seems annoying.

    • unplug the rgb cables from fans on the rgb hub, you can access this by removing the right side panel.

      • the reset button also changes colors and patterns. holding the reset button pauses the current effect.

        • Is that applicable for the Antec NX200M RGB fan as well or other typical case with customisable RGB fan?

          • @Rawrkun: Mine came with the Antec DP301m case, so it's applicable for that one and how mine came wired up. I can't speak for any other case/config.

  • Just ordered one for my wife to play WOW classic

Bought one myself back on 2019 with techfast. And that was the process with a bit hiccup (PSU died when arrived twice, yes, twice)

Hope this time everything going fine.:p

    • Which did you order? The 5700x/6700XT deal seems to have ended

      • 6650xt one,

  • Ordered 6 days ago and have had no update except for initial order confirmation email. First time ordering from Techfast. Is this normal for them?

    • I was just considering ordering, but now wondering if this deal is too old. Have you heard anything?

    • I am at same boat, ordered at 24th, no updates.

      • Have you tried PMing the OP?

        • Not yet, but I will try to PM them today.

Still shown as order placed ATM.

          • @may1985: Did u hear back? I'm in the same boat.
