The Amazon issue is fresh and unresolved for many. The offer was around Prime Day.

      • Hi @Antsey, sorry to hear your cashback didnt track. It does vary between retailers on how quickly they reviee their claims, but please be rest assured that we are chasing these for you

    • Thanks for sharing your experience with us @ermintrude!

  • +3

Unless you're purchasing big ticket items to get $10 in cashback and ontop of that within 90 days be paid out, this seems quite unachievable.

    • Yet to sign up.

    • +1

yeah agreed! joined in Jun but still not reaching $5 tracked cashback yet, also all those bonus one dosent count.

    • Private internet access has 100% cashback on monthly plans for $16.

  • Hey OZB, which is the best cash back service? Don’t use one yet.

    • +5

Sign up to all of them. Theres really no vest as the rates always vary between them depending on the time. Youre not really limited on which you can join so why not all? Great time to sign up if there are bonuses lile these and you are planning to puchase something from an eligible store.

      • -3

Appreciate that but don’t want to sign up to heaps personally. I just want to know which one is the best.
I’m seeing many reasons like amount of payout and consistency of paying out etc

@BusMan247 I'm fairly new to cashback and signed up to Cashrewards first, then ShopBack and finally TopCashback.

I recommend both Cashrewards and ShopBack as the deals vary. (I'm still waiting for a response to a non-tracking issue with TopCashback so I can get the bonus)

Cashrewards (acquired by ANZ) offers the best and fastest service if any problems when you contact the rep here. There are upsized bonuses. Also targeted bonuses if you are lucky. It is excellent for buying Amazon and Choice (includes eBay) gift cards when the rep posts the deals.

ShopBack is great for buying gift cards which I've recently got into. Westpac invested in ShopBack and there are better bonuses when you pay your shopping with some Westpac cards every Wednesday. I signed up to a Westpac debit card to get these deals. (You don't have to get a Westpac card to use ShopBack.) The rep here is helpful if any issues.

Also check T&Cs before shopping. E.g. Amazon and eBay allow gift cards as payment for cashback but most merchants don't.

Great write. Thanks for taking the time I really appreciate it mate. I’ll take your advice and give cash rewards a go.

        • +1

@BusMan247 Great. You can get $20 for signing up with Cashrewards (using referral link below) if you join by 31 July and make a purchase of $20 or more within 14 days. The rep here Tightarse sets a high standard and seems to resolve issues very quickly when contacted.

      imo CR>SB>ShopaSave>TCB

Cashrwds have been more reliable for me

Dont forget to use 'referrals for bonus for each one

      • yup but you also have to consider how often and good deals come from.

SB gets a lot lot more deals than CR, in CS for sure CR is better but when it comes to overall. I dont think one can say either SB is better or CR is better. Both have pretty good IMO. Some have different ups, and different downs.

BTW CR used to be so good with Boost mobile deals (not anymore yeah?)

        • i agree cr & sb are still quite neck and neck (unless ppl have forgotten how SB handled their data leak debacle.)
that's the main reason i put CR slightly ahead.

          theyre the big 2.

pros and cons for both of them

  • -3

How is tracking and cs support compared to shopback and cr?

    • -4

Why not neg as your standard practice?

      • -3

Sure I'll neg you. Lol who pissed in your cornflakes this morning?

  • +3

Can't recommend this company. Still waiting on my Amazon $10 bonus. Raised a claim, got an ambiguous response.

Left feedback on the deal thread tagging the rep who didn't respond.

The Amazon one is particularly frustrating because there were good deals from their competitors that many of this community could have used instead.

    • +4

      Negged for the same experience.

      • Hey @Antsey and @Max999, sorry to hear that your cashback didn't track. Thanks for submitting in a claim - it can vary between retailers on when they review their claim, but please be rest assured that we have been chasing these up for you

        • +2

          Appreciate your reply.

Will certainly share it back in the ozb community once this is resolved.

  • +3

    Have been fine for me.

All purchases tracked. Got the chemist warehouse bonus and the recent amazon one.

Been using them since late Feb, have successfully cashed out twice.

    • Yea same here too. All tracked no issues

    • Same here. I've earned about $120 with them and withdraw $77.

The payout process is slow, but you'll get it in the end.

      • Hi @toniyellow, @georgev and @owl3411, thanks for sharing your experience and we're glad to be a part of your money saving journey.

  • Is expressvpn an eligible merchant for cashback? Or can anyone recommend the most efficient way to reach the $10 threshold in cashback.

    • +2

Ubereats, Nakedvines, Revolut, high % Vpn's occasionally, pizza hut occasionally , boost mobile if it ever comes back.

      Standard amazon/ebay during promo times

But I personally have yet to receive 1 single cent WITHDRAWABLE (its all under CONFIRMED) I honestly dont know if they are even going to pay it out its been confirmed for quite a while. unlike SB/CR where confirmed means instantly payable (if withdrawing over $10 ish something like that)

But all my purchases have tracked reasonably quickly.

  • +1

I have the US version of them. Never had any issues with many purchases through Cashrewards and Shopback, but this company is unreliable. Do not count on getting your cashback. They don't have a way of adding attachments (screenshots) when you submit a claim for missing cashback. It's just a great way to deny you and there's nothing you can do about it. They truly are that bad.

    • Hey @bk1973, are you able to clarify if
you're experiencing tracking issues with reatilers on our US or AU site please? I can then direct you to the right team to help

      • I’ve already tried. They claim that the retailer (a US retailer) said it tracked to a different affiliate. I had the TCB extension on and it showed it had access and changed colour (solid green background) when going to the retailer site. No other extensions were on. Nothing. $10 USD of lost cash back when I could have gotten it cheaper another way. Nothing TCB can do they say. Retailer doesn’t provide any info. I’ve never had this problem with Shopback or Cashrewards. I used that same browser that I only use for shopping (with only one extension enabled) and nothing else. There’s another instance too where a bonus wasn’t awarded. I’ve given up. Withdrawing my money and using a US competitor.

        • Hi @bk1973, sorry to hear about your experience with the US site. Please PM us your email address and we will pass it onto our US team to investigate and fix all of the above for you.

  • +4

Great business model guys: Promise the world, provide almost zero customer service, dont track purchases, then offer oz bargainers a cash incentive to screw over their mates?
    - i wouldnt touch you with a 10 foot pole based on experiences
    - i highly advise admin to take heed at all the negitive comments and ban this company from exploiting us on the good name of ozbargain!

    • Hey @pedrothekiwi, we do try our best to get back to our customers as soon as possible. Please do submit in a claim if youve experienced any tracking issues as we'd like to try and get these resolved for you.

  • +1

I have AU account. my chemist warehouse tracked last time. Withdrawing takes a while. Everything seems to work so far but sounds like a lot of people have had problems and CS not as good as Shopback/Cashrewards. Probably worth a shot spending $10 on something you want to buy anyways since the bonus seems quite good.

    • Hi @yoquierotaco, thanks for sharing your experience and we're glad to be a part of your money saving journey.

    • +5

Unless that cashback rate is 100% and includes gst, you will need to spend more. Just remember, the requirement is $10 in cashback…. not spend.

      • Thanks for the clarification. Yep it is $10 in cashback.

      • Does it have to be in one order or mutilple?

        • It can be in multiple but $10 must be paid out (be available for withdrawal) within 90 days of signing up. Most stores from experience clear/approve 60 to 90 days…. meaning to account for the worst case, purchase something today…..

Hotels / airfair (expedia, etc) only clear 90 to 100 days from after date of return/travel…. so these won't count unless you book and stay today.

          • @cuy: Yes, the $10 earned cashback requirement is harder to achieve than Cashrewards (which is easier to achieve with "purchase" =>$20 within 14 days).
I recall Shopback had same T&C? $10 "earned" instead of "purchase", but no 90 day timeframe like TopCashback - unless this has changed. Also TopCashback excluding "bonuses" make it more difficult.

As the T&C are unclear on the website, I did PM TopCashback Rep about the unrealistic 90 days requirement as it can take up to 2-3 months for tracked Cashback to turn to "available withdrawal status" depending on retailers.

TopCashback Rep was very quick to respond, confirming that as long as Cashback is in "Tracked status" by 90 days you will both get the referral bonuses.

@TopCashback Rep - possible for you to confirm this in this post to all? As the 90 T&C isn't very clear. Below "Payable Status" would be interpreted as "Withdrawal status" (not achievable) instead of "Tracked pending status" (more achievable)
People might be hesitant to sign-up and/or Refer.

            Tell-A-Friend T&C on website
"Your bonus will become Payable when your friend has a minimum of $10 cashback at Payable status."

            • @NDIB: Hi @NDIB, yes that's right. So as long as their cashback has been tracked, that will count towards their $10 threshold they need to reach within 90 days for both of your bonuses to be confirmed. Once their $10 cashback become 'payable', that's when both of your bonuses will also become 'payable'. I hope that clears things up!

  • +1

my cashbacks were never tracked as well. I never used them after

    • Hey @Dr-Bargain, sorry to hear your cashback didn't track - please can you confirm if you've raised a claim for these as we'd like to investigate for you.

  • +1

Unless it is CR, I take it as a gamble.

  • +1

I have been using TCB mainly for chemist warehouse, 5% is still better 1% from SB /CR

Also use Uber eats sometimes, only $0.1 in SB / CR while having $0.44 in TCB, all offers are bad but I guess it’s better than nothing

Overall, still glad to have TCB coming to AU which provide another choice for customers

  • +1

Nord VPN (97% cashback) or Private Internet Access (100% Cashback, New Customers) would be good qualifying purchase options yeah, or is there some hidden clause I'm overlooking?

    • +2

Hey @Empharand, purchasing with those brands will allow your referral bonus to be eligible

  • I've had 16 orders with TopCashBack and every single one of them has tracked. A few have gone to Confirmed, but I guess I still need to wait for them to become Payable before withdrawing.

  • +1

havent even greened my signup, nor cashbacks yet

it's been like a month or more now ..

  • +2

I reffered my friend, he made a purchase. I did not get a notice for refferal nor did he get a visit click :(

  • +1

I referred a mate to sign up and completed the $10 purchase in his account but my account did not have the $50 bonus

    • $10 cashback != $10 purchase
That's what I thought when I signed up but nah

      • You wish

        • Not granted

  • Got 1 click last month but nothing in account. Sad! Now with 1922 referral links showing, the chance of getting this bonus will be almost 0 …

  • +1

Hey @TopCashback AU Rep I'm rest assured that your company promoted a deal on this website which let a lot of people down. (The Amazon one)

A few of the members here are "Oh my cashback tracked no worries this or some other time… why are others whingeing?". It's better to rally behind their fellow members, right? Not a company that multiple Ozbargain members have flagged as not delivering on their promise. Hold that company to a higher standard.

It's a small hill to die on but don't let these guys get away with it. We are cattle to them. Moo them off the site until they do better!

It's on Topcashback to fix. It was their promotion.

    • Hey @Antsey, we appreciate your fustration and unfortunately there is a chance that some transactions won't track. If this is the case, we do encourage you to submit in a claim so that we can get these resolved for you. As mentioned, it can take retailers a few weeks for them to review their claims and as soon as they've updated us, we'll let you know.

  • +3

Not recommended. Purchased a laptop at dell when cash back rate was 15%. Only tracked 5% standard rate. Submitted a missing cash claim, responded immediately saying not worry. But one month later still no update.

    • Hey @catmao, sorry to hear that your cashback didn't track as expected. It can take retailers between 1 to 3 months for them to review their claims - we are chasing this for you and will let you know as soon as we get feedback.

  • +1

Cashback that is not paid in cash? Sounds like Telstra day or have I missed something?

  • +2

Refered a friend a few months back when they were doing the 100% up to $10 Pizza Hut Cashback, didn't count the cashback for my friend, and obviously, didn't get the refer-a-friend cashback.

Been pretty put off by TopCashback since and haven't bothered using them.

    • -1

Hey @Zivko, if they reached the $10 threshold, this should have triggered your refferal bonus - please can you DM us with your details so that we can investigate for you?

  • +1

I've also had trouble. It's clear they try to avoid paying these.

    • -1

Hey @gerardw86, sorry to hear that you've been having issues, please could you DM us with some further details as we'd like to look into this for you.

  • +4

Over 10% of votes are negative. Should this mob be banned here until they sort out their mess?

    • +2

      I definitely vote for that

    • Most people complaining didn't even lodge a claim or contact the rep. Some people are just lazy yet go to all the efforts of worrying about cash back schemes.

      • +1

@G-rig From what I read, people have lodged a claim but haven't heard back.
I contacted the rep twice and also lodged a claim.

It is reasonable for the ones affected not to be recommending this company to their friends yet. The rep has now replied to wait and it could take up to 3 months.

        • Fair enough.
The redeemable periods aren't usually fast either, so have to be patient ha

  • No issues for me and partner from previous deal.

  • +1

"bonuses do not count towards the $10 cashback threshold"

How are "bonuses" defined? Are they referring to something like this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/776812 ?

    • Hi @Miroslav, 'bonuses' are when you get $X for spending $X. The pizza hut example you've listed where it's an upsized cashback, will be eligible for the $10 cashback threshold. Hope this makes sense!

      • It's clear now, thank you!

  • Missed tracking then came to lodge the complaint. Got resolved in a week by BWS. Was able to withdraw the money.

  • +1

@TopCashback AU Rep There appears to be several members affected by the Amazon non-tracking issue. I haven't had this Amazon issue before when I purchased via Cashrewards or ShopBack so wasn't expecting it.

Are you able to reassure us that you would honour $10 in the unlikely scenario that Amazon rejects the claim?

    • Hi @trixieb,

I completely understand your confusion with the non-tracking issues. We are all about fair play, so if your transaction made through Amazon fulfils the criteria to get the $10 bonus i.e. spend over $20 on the 11th July, then yes, we will definitely honour your claim.

      • Great. Thanks for replying

  • What’s good on this website to buy to take advantage of this offer?

  • Is it standard to take 12 weeks for my cashback to be "payable"? If this is a subscription do I have to keep it for the full 12 weeks?

    • @yonduh, it really depends on the brand you're buying from! Some brands take shorter to approve and pay the cashback for the transaction and others take longer. If it's a subscription service, no - you don't necessarily have to keep the subscription for 12 weeks. If there is a time frame you need to keep the subscription for, it will be listed on the brand page.

  • How to tell that my referral worked?

  • +2

Here to report back that the missing Amazon $10 bonus claim has now been resolved with the help of the Rep.

Will definitely use the site again in future deals.

Also hoping the site can improve the tracking mechanisms in the future to make the transactions more pleasant.

I would revoke the neg if I could.

    • Votes tab underneath the title and click on revoke or the X next to your username

      • excellent thanks

  • Hate that referrals are not added unless refree has withdrawn money. Few of the balances staying pending for years …

  • referrals make work but cashback transactions are very intermittent, plus when the claims you make eventually come to fruition, get offered a cashback amount nothing like the original and without my bonus
