OZB_LOTUS_SPECIAL

Morning OzBargain!

We’ve been a bit quiet lately… But for a good reason. We’ve been cooking up the best possible PC deal for you. There’s so much to unpack and everyone wants a TLDR, you’ll have to live with dot points for now! Thanks to your support - we’re super excited to announce the following - all to improve your experience:

  • We’ve moved into a much larger warehouse to meet the OzBargain demand - in a super central location in the heart of Sydney, Bankstown!
  • The new workspace will make it much easier with space to stock more components to keep the engine going with PC deals with a wider variety
  • We’ve hired even more Staff on-site and remotely to fulfil orders even quicker
  • All spare cables, bits and pieces that you may need will now be provided on all orders

On the other hand, unfortunately, the Aussie dollar keeps dipping and is at a low of $0.64 to the US dollar. This means everyone will experience a price pinch and new stock coming in will inevitably cost more due to our weaker dollar. We’ve stocked up all we can for this deal, but for the coming months it will be hard and we will still do everything in our power to keep prices rock bottom low. If you’re in the market for a new gaming PC, I would highly suggest making a decision in the coming weeks before you’ll see prices increase a little.

As always, our prices are unbeatable in the industry with the componentry we use as we operate on the slimmest margins.

You’ll be eligible for a 1% discount on the total cost if you choose to pay by bank transfer, please choose bank transfer in checkout and send us a message. We will send you an updated invoice with the 1% discount. Our margins are seriously razor sharp to give you the best price whilst still staying afloat. The only thing stopping from us hitting rock bottom pricing are payment processor fees. They charge exorbitant amounts. In no way or form we are forcing you to do this, it’s one of the only ways to give you a better price.

You will also receive a free copy of Starfield (valued at $119.95) and Overwatch 2 Invasion ultimate Bundle (valued at $59.95) with each purchase as part of our promotion!

Our reviews and Google Reviews are a testament to our service

Despatch times are still roughly 7-10 business days (we have too many orders from you!)

Once despatched, our delivery times are unbelievably fast as we use premium express couriers nationwide to uphold our service! The following are our estimated delivery time frames with our couriers after despatch:

  • Metro Sydney – Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
  • Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong, and Newcastle - Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
  • All other non-listed major regional town in NSW - Next business day
  • Metro Melbourne – Next business day
  • Metro Brisbane – Next business day
  • ACT – Next business day
  • Metro Adelaide – 2 business days
  • Tasmania – 3-4 business days
  • Metro Perth – 4-5 business days
  • Northern Territory – 5-7 business days

What makes us different?

  • Guaranteed within one business hour response times for email, phone and live chat support
  • We’re proud to offer a fair and transparent price that our competitors struggle to match with a quality service
  • Usage of only premium high-end components with the absolute best value
  • All necessary drivers and software installed
  • Each PC is quality controlled seriously before despatch, we run checks on all components multiple and stress tests including 3DMark and MemTest86 - your test results will be saved to your desktop for you to view
  • 3 years return to base warranty and lifetime support included on all purchases
  • All PCs shipped are packaged carefully – no internals can move during transit as we use Instapak foam that moulds around parts inside along with fragile stickers and tape all over your box
  • Your PC is built with passion, we don’t take shortcuts and keep all cabling tidy whether you can see them or not

This deal will run for strictly one week until next Sunday, August 27th. Once sold out, we’re out as we’ve exhausted all stock from distributors to combat the falling Aussie dollar

Make sure you ask for your spare cables etc when ordering.
You'll likely need them for future upgrades and aren't normally included by Nebula.

    • +29

Oh wait sorry you reminded me, I should've put a note on the post. We have been and will be providing all spare cables and bits and pieces with all orders now to save the trouble!

      • Spare sata cable?

        • +6

Yep, all included! If you want extras, let me know and I'll take care of you :).

          • @Nebula PC: I got mine order from last deal. Didn’t know there will be extra cables included in the built so I bought some from eBay. What else cable should be there?

            • @8millpond: We started doing it towards the end, sorry about that! It depends on your order, for most people it's just the SATA cable for the PSU.If MSI motherboard, there's a spare NVME riser screw.

              • @Nebula PC: My motherboard is the ASUS TUF

                • @8millpond: They don't come with riser screws for the NVMEs, it's already inbuilt. There's really nothing extra to the best of my knowledge.

  • Suggested additional upgrades if I want to upgrade to a 4080?

    • +4

I'd say at least a 7700X and the PSU needs to be a 850W one to be safe! Definitely a good aftermarket CPU cooler as well.

      • Do you think a 7600X would bottleneck the 4080 when gaming in 1440p/4k? Happy to go with the 7700X if necessary.

        • +1

To the best of my knowledge, yes. According to Reddit, people are saying that it's okay to go with a 7600X unless it's a VERY GPU intensive game. I'd say save yourself some coin and go with the 7600X :).

        • 4k - probably not. 1440p, probably.

        • I would stick with the 7500F or immediately go 7700X. The only real benefit the 7600X has is iGPU.

  • Imagine spending 1700 and not getting 8 cores in 2023

    • +11

I know right… These new CPU prices are crazy and it's what we all have to deal with. Intel is even more ridiculous! Cost cutting for manufacturers is so clear in the IT industry, I wish it wasn't like this.

  • As soon as i saw Starfield that got me interested. Is this a nice balanced build? No bottlenecks i need to consider / upgrade?

    • +1

      Hey Hendrideacon,

Yes sir! It's an awesome well balanced mid-range PC. The CPU is a bit on the weaker end, if your budget allows I'd say try go for a 7600X or 7700X upgrade :). The GPU is capable of much more. You can check out this site for how much FPS you'd be looking at getting and play around with the options - https://howmanyfps.com/

Any other questions let me know mate!

      • +3

        well balanced mid-range PC

Indeed it's very well balanced, prices are very competitive and the language that you use sounds very polite, competent and professional.
I can build my own system and I can afford to waste a lot of my free time on it (I just love doing this) but if I'll need something quick and professional, I'll buy from you.
One more feedback about your web page, I think it would be nice to have a link to the components' product page (manufacturer or your own) where I can see all specifications.

        • +1

Sounds great, I think that'll be good for people that are more tech-savvy. Thanks for your feedback.

  • Err…is 650W sufficient for 4070 OC?

    • +7

Yup! It's more than enough, these new GPUs run much faster and use less power! It's mind-boggling how they do it haha! But for your peace of mind and if you want to upgrade down the track, I'd recommend something 750W+.

      • Hmmm…looks like 650W is min required spec. https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/graphics-cards/compare/

Anyone else after this machine that will be putting in any mechanical devices… should go indeed go for a bit more power.

        • +2

Yup, they always overshoot to make sure that it can account for mechanical devices and the CPU. It's all estimated, from our experience 650W is no issue at all even with HDDs :). HDDs draw little to no power, usually sub 3W's.

          • @Nebula PC: Thanks Ops, good price indeed and sound advice.

Just not for me. I built a m-itx based system less than 12 months ago.

            • +3

@hippo2s: Keep an eye out, we will be getting into the ITX soon…

              • +1

@Nebula PC: Yeah I know there is a premium to build small. But I had to build my own because no one sells legit compact case prebuilds! And I do mean small like Silverstone SG13, not Cooler master NR200 (still too big for my preference).

Managed to get a 3060 Ti and 750W ATX PSU in there. (Hence my initial concern with 4070 and 650W.)

                • @hippo2s: Ah well if we're talking that small then I think what you've done was the right choice!

                • +1

@hippo2s: Ha another Silverstone user. I have the rvz03 as I like the slim console look

                  • +1

@maverickjohn: That looks like a sick case! is that SFX PSU only?

Personally l like the understated (tuck me in a corner) look, plus it kept the cost down and within my budget.

I came across a few prebuilds that were NUC based… i don't know why no store does prebuilds with proper m-itx and sfx parts within these type of super compact cases, they're so much easier to ship (and lighter) and if specced right works just as good as full sized machines as they're full spec parts (not NUC).

                    • +1

@hippo2s: You can use both but I chose a SFX case
Mine is a full system rig right now with 13600kf and 3070. I have to say the 13600kfcant be properly cooled in this case. I need a better cooler than what I can fit inside

                • +1

@hippo2s: If I can run my system on a 650w gold then this will be fine lol. I have a 3080ti with an 8600k overclocked to 5ghz and plenty of additional power draw from a x53 kraken aio, 4 sticks of ram, 2 nvme drives, etc. I have never had an issue. The 4070 draws about half the power of my 3080ti and my processor uses more than the 65w of this 7500f (about 90w oc). I can guarantee 650w is more than enough for this system.

              • @Nebula PC: It'll be interesting to see how you'll overcome airflows & fit 4070 pair R7-5700X ?
                Ideally with 2 case-fans & systems handle a 30°C room temp.
Even better, publish benchmark, system temp. say HWiNFO64 & photos.
It seems that buyers have buy-into smaller-size preference & willing to pay a premium-> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/794662?page=2#comment
Not sure if deshrounded cpu-cooler is enough-> https://forums.overclockers.com.au/threads/itx-gaming-pc-tec…

                • @ab c: ITX is in the books but for mass production it’ll be difficult without a premium, we’ll see what we can cook up!

            • @hippo2s: @hippo2s & @maverickjohn: how did you overcome airflows & cramp-space challenges ?
While gaming @ Ultra-setting, have you noted the parts-temp. (& VRM) when your room temp. hit 30°C ?
Feel free to share any benchmark, thanks.

              • @ab c: CPU is the main issue for me. GPU is always fine. But I can't get the CPU cool enough in there. With limited CPU cooler height

        • +2

650w is plenty those specs on NVIDIA’s website are highly padded to account for very low quality power supplies.

Here’s an example of a 4070 system under full gaming load https://www.techspot.com/review/2663-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070…

    • I have a 4070ti with an intel 13500 no problems here although mines a Corsair platinum psu

  • $400 is a bit steep for a 4070ti upgrade. would love to see a m-atx mobo too.

    • +3

I wish I could do better :(. We've secured a good amount of 4070s in bulk to pass on this kind of discounting, otherwise, we can't do the price advertised! For upgrades usually, we are looking a bit more in price to make up the difference from the base model as we're not buying mass bulk amounts. Hope you understand!

Do you mean micro ATX mother? This board is micro ATX if so :).

  • +1

Looks like i will be going with the 7700x, 750w PSU, $2066.

    • You're a legend mate! Thanks for your order :).

      • +1

        Went for the better SSD too PRIMARY SSD: 1TB ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade Gen4 M.2 (R: 7400MB/s | W: 6800MB/s) [ADTA-GAMMIX-S70-1TB-M2] x1 (50)

        • You're awesome mate!

  • +2

Honestly don't know how you guys turn a good profit using Shopify.
But good work, keep on keeping on.

    • +7

I have the same question every day haha. I spend nearly every single day of my life harassing suppliers to get discounts to pass them on to the community. It's not easy with Shopify's platform, it's not an exaggeration when I say the margins are razor sharp. They really are.

      • Sorry man to be that guy my dude, but I don’t completely believe this comment. As a sales person myself I see right through this reply.

I just recently purchased parts for my partners new PC so I tried my closest to compare it to this deal and upgraded the parts closest to her PC.

I kept to the same case,
Couldn’t upgrade the storage for some reason on your site (there was no options for me),

        This is the comparison:
        My purchase:
        MSI B650 Edge Wifi = $349
        980 Pro 2TB = $199
        MSI 4070 x3 = $945
        7700x = $446 (with free star field)
Corsair RAM 32GB 6000mhz = $169 (partner wanted white RGB)
        750W PSU = $100
        Case = $90
        Total= $2299

But on your site with this advertised deal I upgraded to the 7700x,
then upgraded to the best MSI MOBO i could (b650 Mortar), which is still less than the B650 Edge.
        Upgraded to the 750W PSU,
        Couldn’t upgrade the storage.

And already this comes to $2,430.
And so with for a lesser quality PC on your site this already costs more than my partners PC :/

Keep in mind you would get these pieces at cost prices.

I might get bad rep, oh well. Just my two cents

        • +6

You're absolutely right! As you upgrade some parts we might not mass stock them so we don't get the bulk discount that we can pass on to you. We still want to have these options available for you though so that at least you can choose it if you'd like (no pressure at all), that's what makes us different from some of our competitors. The storage option to upgrade is in the support section :). I would suggest for ultimate value, try to keep closer to the base build, especially the CPU. The 7500F is where a lot of the savings are coming from. That way using the comparison method you are using, it will be below any retail price you can find.

For a build like that you've mentioned, of course, retailers will have better pricing as they're buying hundreds of units of each and selling through them fast. We don't sell through half those components anywhere near as fast, hence the pricing difference. Pricing also always fluctuates really quickly, the MSI 4070 x3 must've been on promo when you got it, it's now $989 and soon enough everything will be going up more because of the Aussie dollar.

For us, it's not all about pricing. It's also about our service. For what you're after, sometimes we can't always beat it. I would recommend going with your route and building it yourself as it would be more cost-effective :). I promise you, the margins we're operating on is seriously thin, I really wish I could show everyone the figures I have. It's not fun.

          • @Nebula PC: Fair enough man.
I appreciate your response to give me a bit more of an understanding.

            Great service though mate.
            Keep it up!!

Is Starfield free included? Ought to put that in the description.

    • +1

Yep, it completely is! I have put "You will also receive a free copy of Starfield (valued at $119.95) and Overwatch 2 Invasion ultimate Bundle (valued at $59.95) with each purchase as part of our promotion!" in the post. Maybe I can only see it on my end?

      Cheers!

      • -6

Had to do a ctrl+f find to locate it. All good. Thought I would clarify and perhaps surface it as it's worth a penny!

  • Omg yuleh.

  • +2

    Ordered one. Communication was great!
    - reply within seconds
    - answer nooby questions from me
    - give honest suggestions
    - being flexible with my personal circumstance

As a customer, on a Saturday, really cannot ask for more (especially after dealing with Centrelink last week…)

    • +2

Too many top-notch customers from OzBargain, you guys are seriously awesome!

  • Should have avoided Engima and purchased with you guys instead. Keep up to positive energy, you guys are the real mvp

  • I'm a bit worried about the reported issues with invidious drivers 🫠

    ..poor Lawrence

    • Haha, that was definitely one of the more interesting reviews we've gotten…

  • Looking for a new PC, and thinking of going AMD route. Do you guys have any builds with AMD GPUs?

    • For us, it's really hard with AMD cards to get discounts at this stage. Were you looking at the 7900XT? I could maybe do something for you but for best pricing I'd say stick with NVIDIA if possible my friend!

      • How about older ones like rx7600?

        • +1

We like to use the latest gen parts to complement each other if possible within reason! I do suggest you shop around though, I've seen quite a lot of RX7600 and other AMD builds on OzBargain, they'll definitely have much better value than what we can offer at this stage with AMD.

      • Hi Nebula rep,

Could I enquire about a 7900 Xt build? Only if it's not too much trouble for you.

        Thanks for everything!

        • Hi IcedDepressedO,

Yes, please PM us and I'll get you a price.

    • I’m interested too, to my understanding they are better bang for buck. In saying that, I’m 100% a noob when it comes to this. I am concerned about resale if I went all AMD. Any insights would be helpful.

      • +3

AMD is usually better price to performance, but when it comes to discounting it's not the best for us. AMD still has some more work to do with their software, NVIDIA software is by far superior. Although it can be subjective, it's from our experience. For example, when installing drivers the AMD drivers keep crashing and we need to spend extra time restarting the PC and diagnosing sometimes. The prices we're getting with NVIDIA are basically making them extremely worthwhile, you're getting very close to the bang for buck with AMD cards in terms of pricing but at the same time, you get all the other benefits with NVIDIA with software and reliability.

Moreover, more games support NVIDIA technology over AMD, they have around 80% market share in the graphics card industry; AMD only has a mere 18%. Examples include DLSS support that is exclusive to NVIDIA.

As for the resale market, the last time I checked AMD cards retain less value than NVIDIA. This is mostly due to less demand and them being an already more budget friendly option. Of course, this can change at anytime, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

        • Thanks so much for such a thorough response, it's appreciated!

  • +1

Good on you for your communication and passion, OP. I'll get a new PC one of these days, and every time I see you post a deal and how you handle the comments, I become more convinced that it'll be through you guys.

    • +1

      Cheers mate!

  • +1

Hi, rep. I love your replies to fellow OzBargainers. I have a $2K budget (and it can be stretched a bit). Which parts should I upgrade to play The Last of Us and probably Starfield on a 4K monitor? Cheers!

    • +1

Go the better 7700X for Starfield. I upgraded the SSD to 1TB but thats optional.

      • Thank you for sharing your build. 1TB SSD and 7700X upgrade is tempting!

    • +1

For me personally, I'd say go for a nice aftermarket air cooler, either AG400 for no RGB or the DarkFlash Pro one for RGB. If your budget allows and at least the B650 motherboards. The A620 series is very limited in features and it's not great when it comes to future-proofing if you need more storage etc…

      • +1

7700X with an aftermarket cooler is also an awesome pathway for a $2000 budget!

        • Thank you, rep! I'm building on your website right now. :D

          • +1

@AnKu: If you get stumped shoot us a message on our live chat! :D

    • +1

You will be playing with DLSS on, in case that matters.
The 4070ti is better but for 4k you really want something like a 4080.. even my 3070 is playing Diablo at 4k, just note it's all software enhanced. If 2k is really your budget. Invest in everything else now bar the GPU and just upgrade when 50 series comes out and either buy the 4080 cheaper or the 5070/ti .
I would go 7800x3d and a good air cooler with a good mobo.
Reason why I would choose the x3d is that it can support your GPU until you upgrade.
      Options are
      -upgrade CPU to 7800x3d
      -Upgrade CPU cooler to u12a
      - upgrade mobo to b650 (I chose the mag with wifi)
      -psu to 850w
I just checked even with the modest upgrades mentioned it still goes to $2644.. most of the PC bar the GPU will be future proofed

      • +1

Thank you for your input. The price difference between 7800x3d and 7900 is just $9. Is it worth going with 7900 considering more core but lower clock speed? Cheers!

        • +2

7800X3D is ripper for gaming - check out these benchmarks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcUTDKpixUI

        • +1

Not for gaming. The extra cache has proven to be superior for gaming. Check the review linked by nebula rep. From half way point. It really will help if intent is a gaming PC. Later when you can afford just sell the 4070 and buy a 4080 or above card

  • +2

      Hi Pippen,

It’d obliterate WoW, it’s well more than enough for that and more!

  • Nebula are great. Ordered one when they were first on the scene for $3k. I'm in Melb and shipping was no problem. I had faith that everything would work out and it did.
