    • +2

Loving my 1st Gen Xiaomi, she's still cleaning around the house and no issues.

    • +2

      sure do …still works brilliantly

    • +1

My Rosie Robot is still going strong. Just looked it up and paid $350 for it way back in August 2017.

    • +1

Mine just had the fan motor die, so picked up a new one, will fit shortly

      • How much is a motor worth? Got a link?

        • +1

Under 20 bucks, unsure if it was new but well rated on aliexpress, just google Xiaomi 1s fan motor and you will see tonnes. I think it was about 17 bucks inc GST, you can get hardly used ones for a bit less

    • +1

yep. still love it- my fave of 4 vacs I have. just changed the battery- easy to fix/maintain. is all I need really- are there any decent modern vacs (no mops etc) at the same price point?

    • Ahhhhh makes me a little bit less annoyed about missing this….. I literally refreshed OzB 5 mins before this and jumped into a meeting for 45 mins and missed it

      • Me too, I was in the same meeting…

    • fact or prediction?

    • Insider information?

    • These have all been shipped actually

    • Incorrect, they are all getting shipped

  • How good or bad is this for $200?

    • No mapping.

I would recommend something like this when it goes on sale (under $250).

Lubluelu 2 in 1 Robot Vacuum Mop, 3000Pa, Lidar Navigation Laser, 5 Editable Mapping, SL60D

      • +1

they have a coupon on this atm …. around 280 all up … any good?

        • I would wait they go on sale regularly on Amazon and on eBay. Should be able to grab one for around $210-$240. Just add it to cart and keep an eye on it. Under $250 I think it's a pretty good deal. Bought a couple of them recently and been very happy with them thus far.

I would recommend going via Amazon tho even if it's for slightly more since it's much easier when it comes to warranty and returns.

        https://valetudo.cloud/

Have you tried this, do you think it might work

        • +1

Interesting. I just use their app and it's pretty decent for mine.

  • +1

As someone who has one I wouldn’t recommend. It’s such a good robot and does a great job but it’s ruined by the map constantly breaking and there being no way to back up and restore maps. So once a month I have to remake the map.

Other models have the feature but they never bothered to release it for this one.

    • +2

For under $200 tho it's a dreamey deal if they honour it. I don't think you can find a better one around that price range.

    • I missed out, but for $199 I'd probably deal with doing this 12 times a year to save a few hundred bucks hehe

      • +4

yeah but the downside is that when the map breaks you find that it will get to places its not meant to and get tangled in cables and stuff. the frustrating part is sometimes you can go weeks with no issues and then it can break the map multiple times in a week. the frustration is all they need to do is give me the feature to back up and restore the map like their other models and it wouldnt be an issue.

    • +3

Its map would also slide as well.

The other issue is the loosely fitted protective rack above the brush might come off when it goes over any difficult obstacle. Once it's loose it will scratch the timber floor. It is fine once I found the culprit and remove it.

However this price is really good despite of the issues. It is even better than the $257.40 I paid from the previous deal.

  • Its showing sold out now which is probably not a good sign…hopefully they haven't oversold

    • +2

Wouldn't it be a good sign? Allocating machines to the orders.

  • +2

Just bought it on Amazon.com.au for $349 delivered: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09B9TRPF4/ref=ppx_od_d…
I've used a $349 coupon that I'm not able to see anymore

    • Did well, showing as $699 for me. 5 min too late!

  • Sold out! What gives!

  • If anyone's looking to buy a "proper" robot vacuum, Roborock Q7 Max+ (the one with the dock) can be purchased for $849 on eBay from the official Roborock store after using a couple of vouchers.

    • +10

I reckon 4 of these in a squadron would kick that things arse.
