    what about 11 pro max?

  • +2

Reasonably good trade in values, but no real additional features in iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max if you already have iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max, which justify spending additional $800-900.

    • +3

But it has a new cable!!11!!!

      • +6

Ohhhh yeah. I forgot that. Definitely worth spending $800-900 for the new usb-c port and cable 😬

    • +2

Apparently the lighter titanium design is quite noticeable especially if you use the phone a lot, 14 Pro and Pro Max are super chunky

      • +2

My 13 pro max is a brick, so heavy

      • +1

Picking up a 12 and then a 14 pro is like. What is this brick.

      • I agree. But you notice the difference only if you compare. Once you use it, you don’t even notice it.

      • People were complaining about wrist fatigue according to an article I read about the 14

        • +3

On their phone hand or other hand?

    • +2

If you salary sacrifice your phone purchase, then the trade in is probably more than last year's phone cost you, and you don't have to deal with degenerates on Marketplace.

Okish trade-in value. You could rather sell it to mobile monster or similar and get this price for cash.

    • Mobile Monster is offering less than this, for e.g. $1,050 for iPhone 14 pro 128 gb.

      • They are offering more for the 12, YMMV

  • +1

Will the invoice for the new phone have the full price on it? Need to salary sacrifice this guy

    • +1

I just did it, the trade in is a gift card you apply at check out, so yes it should do the full invoice

  • $960 for iPhone 13pro on Apple Store.

    • And $430 for my 64GB iPhone 12

    • How much for iPhone 14 Pro Max 128GB? Or thats not eligible for trade-in?

    • I tried iPhone 13 Pro 256GB on Apple Store and only got $865

  • +12

https://officeworks.moorup.com.au/promotion/Apple-iPhone-15-… better value if you have iPhone 12 or newer - get extra $250 on top of trade in price

    • damn no 11.. i got the 11 256gb thats crazy good tho for extra 250

    • Are the trade values before the bonus the same ? The store is closed to check

      • +1

        Was $610 for a 12 Pro Max 128GB when I checked

        • My 13 pro max 128g is $900 plus you get the extra $250 that’s sweet as

    • Anyone traded in with moorup before?

    • Couldn't exactly work out the exact amount you get for trade in, if i was to trade a 13 pro max how much would i get all up?

    • Are there any chances of price matching the trade-in value with officeworks?
Apple is giving $1020 for 13 pro max and Office Works giving $920

    • +2

I tried this, they do not accept the trade in coupon on online orders, So I went to the Stores and they did not let me order because they do not allow pre orders in store. I am lost now what to do with useless trade in vouchers and pre authorisation charge on my bank card.

Customer care is unavailable on weekends so wait and watch now.

      • It seems the $250 extra would only arrive after the trade-in and a new phone has been paid for. You can’t actually use it against the new phone purchase. That pretty much makes it an OW gc, still good and can save it for the next trade-in order maybe 🤔

        • +1

not even talking about the $250, the actual trade in value for my old phone came in office works vouchers, which they are not letting me use online or in store.

          • @bargainhuntr: I’m sure they’ll sort you out on Monday. OW is pretty good, just enjoy the rest of the weekend 🙃

          • @bargainhuntr: Ok so the limit lifts in store on Friday as it’s no longer considered a pre-order then. You can then waddle in and pile up all your gift cards. Definitely no-go online. My local even offered to call me back on the level of stock once they knew on Friday, and hold the one I wanted if they have it for me to go pick it up.

        • That's a deal breaker if so.

      • +1

I'm in the same situation with you. The gift card they sent is useless as it can only be used in store but stores won't take pre order for new iphone.
Have to say this shouldn't be called "trade-in".

        • I emailed them to cancel and ordered in JB. Useless system

          • @Legend279: I emailed them but no reply. Not sure if I can cancel the trade-in.

    • +1

Tried to do this, was unable to use the gift card to pre order the new phone, also can’t use the gift card online. Has to be instore and they don’t take pre orders instore for some reason

Just play around with the widget
seems no matter what capacity the trade in amount is the same
So you get better value in JB if you have a 128GB phone to trade in
but getter value in Apple Store (likewize) if you have a 1TB phone

  • can't seem to finalise the ID check, says its completed, then says that I have to try again.

  • seems like there is no way to change your mind after proceeding? like if you decide to sell it elsewhere, your credit card will be charged the full amount of the gift card.

    • You can email them to cancel the trade in. You'll not be charged if you haven't used the gift card. They'll simply cancel it. There are many posts regarding this on other JB HiFi trade in deal posts.

its unfair that all memory sizes of 11 is 300. while we paid a premium at launch to get the 256gb

    • +1

You can different trade in values on phone storage using Apple Store one

      • -1

but it not guaranteed like jbhifi. like mine got light scratches on the edge, from case use. or is it guaranteed idk I've never traded in with apple

  • -1

Is a XS count as an 11?

    • Haha no

  • Honestly convenient, I ended up doing this because JB is closer than Apple and less waiting in line.

Looks like neither Apple or JB hifi will deliver it on launch day anymore, I don’t know when they stopped doing that but it used to be a thing.

  • I got $340 for my wife's iPhone 12 mini. That's much better than the $200 trade-in offer Apple offered

  • +1

Telstra offering $350 credit bonus on top of trade in value.

    • Seems like you have to send in the device first and the extra 350 will be credited to your account. So do you just buy the phone outright at Telstra first and then just just send the device in after?

      • Good question. Does seem like a pretty crappy process compared to Officeworks which lets you keep your phone until the new one arrives

    • Need to be a post paid customer?

  • Not good enough

  • If it gives $300 bonus value it will be a sick deal

  • For Citi cardholders, if you buy a new phone with the trade-in credit and pay the rest on your credit card, do you lose the extra one-year warranty the credit card provides?

    • yes, credit card insurance (eg. extended warranty) must be purchased with full amount by card
However, it looks like that JB trade in is giving you JB Gift card which is not limited to be used in buying new phone
so you may use the credit in other purchases while paying the new phone in citi card in full amount

      • Thanks. I was going to go for the officeworks one for the extra $250. If this kind of deals come up every years tho, I don’t think the Citi warranty means much at this stage.

        • I ended up just get the phone and trade in via JB simply because already holding lots of JB GC in the last 12 months (mostly 10% - 15% discounted Ultimate GC or TCN GC from Coles / Woolies)

BTW just tried the trade in valuation on iPhone 13 Pro 256 GB in officeworks and only got $760, which is $90 lower than JB
Factoring the $250 credit, would be $160 better than JB in my case

          • @littlesoldier: I’m on my 12 mini, $310 flat rate everywhere lol I find it really hard to let go because I love this phone so much. The battery is doing occasional sudden death at around 5% recently, capacity is at 85% so Apple won’t do anything about it. Citi’s warranty would cover until Jan next year, but deals like these won’t be around then. Very conflicted 😐

Lol yeah gc’s tend to multiply, I made a point to not buy them unless I need it within a week. Sounds like you get a very good deal for a new phone 😇

  • Guarantee minimum value of $975 for iphone 13 pro max. Then when I put in my details they only give me $970 🙄🙄

    • If you really don’t want newest phone, I would probably use 13 pro max for another year.

      • +1

        Or another 3-4 years.

        • Iphone has really hit a plateau, hence having to resort to all the "green" marketing in that ad. I'm sure they will have to release a foldable sooner than later

  • Consider comparing to CeX too as they give more for trade in of good condition phones (light scratches, no cracks) compared to most retailers. They also have a very quick assessment process and you can give the phone in store so the entire process may only take a couple days.
    https://au.webuy.com/search?superCatId=4&Manufacturer=Apple&…

    E.g. Iphone 11 64GB - $321 ($21 more for base model compared to jb!)

  • not getting $650 for iphone 13 mini on the website, am I missing something?

  • Yeah same, have messages them twice about it. Ignored on both occasions :(

  • Can you use the credit to buy Apple gift cards?

Also, can I still get the Google Pixel voucher with this?

  • Will the trade in price go down after the promo? What's really the deal about?

  • I just received a confirmation email with GC even though I requested cancel this morning.
I already bought it from JB. Could I cancel this? They are not picking up call at the moment
