  • I just activated mine on the $29 plan from the last time it was on sale. Ported from Boost so won't need to sim slut for 3 months.

Equates to $8 per month for 3 months with 35gb. If you manage to get a 2nd referral then it becomes a really good deal.

    • You can port from to Belong directly from Boost? I thought since it was both Telstra networks you would have trouble porting T > T.

      • I usually try to port to a different network but it worked fine for me.

      • Yeah definitely. My Belong free starter packs (Telstra points deal) have just run out after 18 months. I've just ported to a free 28 day boost sim with no issues at all. Service was up and running in 5 mins.

    • Hi, it states that it's 4G and 3G. As far as I know, Belong now also uses 5G, can anyone confirm this?

    • Hi there, are you saying I can use this Sim for 3 months before expiry / recharge making it $8/month?

  • +1

For those wondering, I'm pretty certain this $45 credit can be put towards any of the available plans (eg. spread across multiple bill cycles for the $19 plan as OP mentioned), including data only (although data plans are ineligible for referral bonus).

    • Yes, but the $19 plan isn't available on activation. You have to activate on the $29 then drop down to the $19 plan for subsequent months as OP says.

  • +2

Pretty happy with belong actually, thanks for the recommendation WN

  • Is there a way to check if SIM are still active 20 months passed

    • +2

      message it?

      • they said no possible

    • I activated two SIM cards last month that I purchased last May.

  • I don’t see a $19 plan on their site?!

    • Hence why I linked to the CIS in the description, 1st line.

You can only change to it after activation. So it will deduct $19 on the 2nd month.

      • -1

What’s the inclusions of the $19 plan

        • +2

Refer to the link mentioned in the first sentence of the OP

        • 5 GB of data! But belong is awesome because they do data bank

    • +1

Only available from the 2nd month. Remember to choose $29 plan when you activate the SIM. Once activated, you will be able to change to $19 plan

      • It says $19 plan no longer available and anyone on it will be migrated to $29 plan

        • I think you might be getting two separate things mixed up. The section I think you're referring to is actually in relation to the old $25 plan, which now costs $29. The full text says this:

Prior to 4 July 2023, $25. No longer
          available for purchase. Customers will
be migrated to the $29 plan.

ie before 4 July 2023, the plan cost $25 but is now no longer available at this price. Those who were previously on the $25 plan will/have been migrated to the $29 plan.

This section is not actually referring to the $19 plan.

Works with ultimate gift card in store.

Did it a few days ago

  • How to make sure you get the 20$, signup with new email?

    • +1

Read Deal Description - click link to get randomised referral code.

      • -3

I know about the referral code bit. But ive activated a service with an existing account and didnt get credit , which is why I was curious whether we need to make a new account everytime.

        • +3

          Again, Read Deal Description
If you've been with Belong before you will have to use a new email in order to get the referral credit again.

But, you should have learnt that from your last mistake!

  • This is a good deal (8/m/35) -> (96/y/420) if it can be repeated 4 times a year.

    • It's 35 GB per 3 months, not per month (from my understanding).

  • -1

Boost costs $0 and lasts every month lol

    • How do you do this? To achieve 0$ every month?

  • Used to be $10 for the second month.

    Then $15.

Now it's increased to $19. Wow.

    • Same can be said about Boost Mobile. Price inflation on most things these days.

      • Yes. But almost double the price since February?

        • +1

Yep crazy hey. I'm porting out once my credit is used up.

    • +1

Yeah the last rise had me move to Woolworths 365 day plan ($170/125G). Hard to beat when you factor in 10% off a shop every month.

      • That actually sounds alright.

        How's the reception? Dropouts?

  • Great deal.

  • +2

    Thanks WatchNerd.
Bought from Coles for $22 in your last Deal

About to activate on new account with referral code, then transfer 750GB from current Belong SIM in use for 6 months. Data was transferred from other Belong SIMs in use over last year. (Bought on Telstra Plus for 2000pts earnt from Deals.)

Then port current number to Boost to keep it there for 3 months, then port to next Belong SIM for another 3 months…

    • Main phone number for a CBA cardholder: More 3 mths free -> Boost Mobile 28 days -> More 3 mths free

More 3 mths free valid till Feb 2024, five services allowed per customer. SIM plan max 150GB/mth.

Potentially a small profit from Boost Mobile, absolutely no cost in nearly 7 mths.

      • Must chat to Commbank. Have an old Visa card that doesn't qualify for Rewards offers. Ask them to change to MasterCard.

        Didn't know about that offer.
Still, have been with Belong for 12 months with points earnt free in Deals.
And don't want to lose 750GB!!

        • The issue is that the service cost goes up to bank these data.

          • @Neoika: Expected would have used over 1TB free data on Belong.
But am using free BOOST SIMs for home wifi.

Link / details of Commbank offer?

            • +1
              • @Neoika: Thanks. Saw that Deal & offer in Commbank app under "For You". 150GB/m is nice!

But had decided to extend Belong & bought $22 SIM by then.
$8/m to extend 750GB data isn't a big issue for me.

                • @INFIDEL: I'll port a spare permanent number to it once the SIM arrives tomorrow or Monday. I have several permanent numbers to manage so that I can always take advantage of the offers available to me.

                  • +1

@Neoika: Port those to Boost & back at the moment. Active for month, incoming for about 5 extra months.
Used to store on Amaysim for over a year when they had free Deals.

              • @Neoika: Checked - on Commbank app, only qualify for $30 off $30+ spend, not that offer😢
Will try via Deal in future.

                • +1

@INFIDEL: Only a CBA card is needed, which allows More to identify your eligibility.

                  • @Neoika: Gathered that from Deal. Thanks for confirming.
With profitable Boost SIMs still being offered, will try later - 160d left.

  • Confused about this - the $29 Plan linked to says 25GB. And the $19 plan is only 5GB.

So where does the 100GB come in? Can't see how you get 100GB per month by following the instructions provided here.

    • +3

      SIM has $45 credit = 100GB for 1 month.
      Using it with $20 referral gives $65 = 3 months ($29+$19+19 pay $2, 25+5+5GB)
      Your choice.

      • Oh right. 5Gb of data is pretty useless to me.

        • It rolls over each month.
          35GB over 3 months

Have over 750GB left after a free year on Belong. That's why I bought this - to extend life of existing data.

Boost is free (or profit) & useful for data. Just ordered another 65GB for $3 profit.
I use both. Boost as home wifi.

  • +2

    Same price on Amazon

    • Just saw this also, free delivery tomorrow, can’t beat. Ordered.

    • Thanks, added to the post.

    • Two reviews put me off from buying.

    • Could you provide a link please! 🙏

  • +1

I literally signed up to the $29 plan last week….

    • Don't forget you can drop down to the $19 plan once your account is set up, so it's ready for the following month.

  • I get drop outs on Belong where my SIM just totally fails for 10 minutes, probably happens once a day. Anyone else? I'm going to go back to Boost.

  • Has anyone here used this overseas on wifi for sms/calls like you can with Boost?

  • Can someone help me understand 35g/month - does it mean once you buy it, you don't need to recharge for 3 months and can still use the mobile number for 3 months?

    • No. You recharge it every month.
$29 initially then switch to $19 plan for month 2 and 3. Data rolls over

You get $45 credit from the sim and $20 for referral to use for monthly charges.

      • thank you! I just read above someone said $8/month/35GB… I couldn't get the maths on that one!

        • +2

Data stated in that comment was incorrect. Explained above

Automatically bills each month - using $45 SIM credit +$20 referral credit & bills your payment $2 in 3rd month.
So cancel or port out before end of 3rd month or will be billed for 4th & subsequent months!.

25+5+5GB of data rolls over monthly.

  • Can I use this SIM in a 4G Modem (data only) ?

If yes, could I buy a bunch of these SIMs and use a new one every month? (using a different email address every time I sign up)
    At $22/mth it's a better deal than their 100GB data plan at $35 :)

    • +1

Why is this better than Boost for this purpose? Isn't it total free via Boost SIM?

    • That's what I do with an old 4G+ phone as modem, with FREE / profit Boost SIMs.

      Why pay?? FREE Data basics!

Just keep ordering those SIMs from Cashback Deals & replace every 28d or when (up to 65GB) included data runs out.
Used 45GB FREE data watching movies etc last week!
