    Yes, although JAL is probably the best airline for economy travellers in the world. JAL in its 787s has the largest seat for economy pax, meals are great, large baggage allowance by default (23kgx2) and they even have a hot towel service.

      These days it's a pre-packaged oshibori instead of a hot towel, but otherwise agreed.

      the oshibori is correct. flew JAL last week to Tokyo and that was what was offered. Great airline nevertheless.

      10kg carry on as well. One of the best inflight wifi i've used (Syd - Tokyo 787-9) as well. At ~$15 USD for 24 hours with no data limit and getting consistent 8Mbps

  Not to scare or rush people into booking but the last sale only last like 2 days before the prices went back to normal, so take that as you will.
  I had to spend an extra $400 because I wanted to wait an an extra day haha.

  pretty good for 1k return trip to japan especially the osaka route too

  not that its not possible or i should check but would be cool if you could get this price say if you did sydney to osaka and then tokyo to sydney so then you don't have to do return train trips. can go to one city , explore the area and then train to outgoing city , explore and then fly out back to sydney

    JAL doesn't have direct flights out of Osaka to Sydney, so it would all be via. Tokyo with a connecting domestic flight anyway.

  Some good flight prices at the moment with JAL in March as well. Booked Adelaide - Tokyo earlier this week for $1063 return - I think the Syd - Tokyo portion was around $977 return.
