  • so if i do this i'm certified?

    any prerequisites?

    • you are certified after you pass the exam (not included).

    • No, the training itself is certified. If you want to be certified after taking the training then you will need to pay extra to take exam(s).

      http://www.careermatch-uk.com/index-faq.html

"Most of the qualifications you can expect to gain from our courses are industry recognised. CareerMatch do not provide the final qualifications, these are handled by international organisations such as Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, and The PMI (Project Management Institute). Career Matchprovides the training to assist you to pass the necessary exams to gain the qualifications required to work in a particular field, such as web design or network engineering."

"Anyone can sit the exams at anytime, but will fail without knowing what to study. The courses are designed to help prepare you for these exams.

For UK customers, most of the exams can be sat at official Thomson Prometric Testing Centres which are located throughout the country. To find your nearest testing centre and get more information on the exams, click on the Exam Info tab on each course page and follow the links. Your exam paper is normally marked on the day of your test automatically by the computer you’re being tested on. Shortly afterwards you should receive your results. Your testing centre should be able to advise you how and when you should expect to receive your certification.

In the event you fail an exam, you can re-sit the test as many times as you like until you pass. You should be aware however that there are costs involved to keep doing this, so make sure you prepare well for the test.

Exams can range from £84 – £180. Some exams can only be purchased in US currency, but can be sat in the UK and other countries. If paying by credit card for these types of exams, your card provider will normally do the currency conversion for you. How many exams you choose to sit is entirely up to you. You may feel that the job you’re going into only requires the essential exams to be sat and you may choose not to sit the beneficial exams."

  • As all the previous comments have stated. THIS IS A TRAINING PACKAGE. NOT THE ACTUAL CERTIFICATION.

The Packages incude; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc) certifications (each exam costs $100+ to be certified microsoft technology associate/partner), CISCO Certified CCNA, and some other what looks like to be no named IT Managment course.

This is pretty good deal for anybody looking for small certifications to add to their resume. But you honestly need be be BOTHERED studying the content (I actually had the opportunity to get the training packages for free from my company, all i needed to do was pay for the discounted exams, and I said i would do it, but it didnt end up happening), and then paying the money to for the exams (plural).

But the CISCO one looks nice, but there are other websites offering the CISCO training package for around the same price. So if you need some quick microsoft certifications you want to stick in your resume/email signature, go for it.

  • Looks like CCNA and CCNP (routing, switching, troubleshooting) modules included. $4250 value is nonsense, though can't comment on $149 being good value without seeing the actual material provided. The exams are expensive though as mentioned above. If new to IP netwokring, this material alone will likely not be enough to get qualified. You will need to use GNS3 simulator (and some official IOS images from cisco will need to be "acquired") or rent some actual lab time. As I know from experience, buying the books is easy, reading them is another thing altogether.

Have +'ed this though - good be a really good deal for someone…

  • Cisco provides the training content for Exploration so they are all the same…

We just studied the online Cisco content in Uni

It is well made though, Cisco provides the quizzes, labs, videos, virtual appliances and tests

  • dealing with group buy site + overseas company = double trouble

  • +1

    She is cute

    • False advertising
