So trade in google 6a $150 + $300 bonus + $250 pre-order bonus - $1199 = $499 or is my maths wrong
The bonus gift card is issued after pre-ordering. So you can't really count it as a reduction in cost for the phone
And the bonus gift card is….a gift card. You aren't saving any money by being given credit to spend more money.
Still good for tax reasons.
You can still claim the full phone amount and get the gift card back on the side.You are saving money in your next purchase (unless you never buy anything you need from JB ever again).

Just did the same thing. So that email with the iPhone 15-28 day extension should have had a link to a $300 bonus or what? It's very unclear how this is supposed to work.
I got a response after emailing them ([email protected]). They just gave me a code for the pixel an hour ago. I didn't try the apple link.

I signed up for the trade in promo on the evening of 4th 11pm AWST. It still had the previous promo about a discount code for iphone 15, which was meant to expire on the same day.
Yeah I can see the promo on the frontpage of the site but I don't know where I go to get the trade in voucher ($230 for iPhone 11 pro 256gb) & the extra $300. I just get sent to the Pixel 8 products page. Can the trade-in be done in store too?
Can anyone confirm that the $300 bonus trade-in credit is stackable with the $300 jb voucher? The Trade-in bonus says no other coupon can be applied (which I am assuming is the trade-in credit) and the $300 jb voucher bonus is independent?
Has anyone used this similar offer before with the bonus from pre-order?You do not receive the gift card until well after you get and pay for the phone.
There's 2 promos going:
- Trade in a device worth more than $1 and get a $300 bonus credit (this deal)
- Pre-Order a Pixel 8/8 Pro and get a JB gift card when you pick up the device or 2 weeks after it ships
For this deal, let's say you trade in your phone worth $100. You get 2 emails, 1 email with a $100 JB gift card, and another one with your $300 bonus coupon. When you go through the checkout process, you put in your bonus coupon into the Coupon Code field, and you put in your gift card into the Gift Card field.
Then there is the pre-order bonus (second promo) which you get when you pick up the phone or 2 weeks after it's shipped. You can't really use the pre-order bonus gift card on the phone because you only get it after the payment has been taken

I got a meself standard P8. Support for P5 has ended sadly. The battery life got $hitier by the day. Was good enough when on A11 but somehow further down the updates I got at most 3.5 hours screen on time just doing browsing, take a pic or two , YouTube watching with 60-80% screen brightness.
Battery was still a little better than my iPSE2020. That’s another league of battery $hitiness lol.

In my case Pixel 8 would cost 1199-300-375 = 524, & a $250 JB voucher (~ = $274)? may not be much of a big tax invoice for tax although usually states more than you could 'technically' claim. All depends if you can use both JB deals together really, people having troubles with receiving codes etc.Perhaps wait 6 months get one before eofy and cover any price drops within a year from then with 28d card.
Agree pixel 8 is all you need and prefer smaller phone, the bigger screen just uses whatever difference in the bigger battery too. Curved sides on the screen is a pain on the Pro as well, and too expensive (getting into S23 ultra and iphone terrirory without the prestige or value retention).
True, pixel 5 getting old now, but was pretty good and liked the form factor. Sold mine to get the 7 for $350 on the last pre-order.

Yeah don't need any of that, screen protectors from Amazon (3 for $10-16), spigen case from Amazon ($18) etc.
Probably better off selling the GC for $200-220 or something, people jump through hoops on here for $1-2.
Hey guys, I'm super confused about the promo JB is running. To my understanding, when you trade in your own phone, you'll get immediate trade-in value PLUS an immediate $300 off JB coupon. So it should look something like this
Pixel 6 Pro ($300 Trade-In) + $300 Off Bonus JB Coupon = $600 to reduce the price of a Pixel 8 Pro
I'm reading through other comments that there is a GC involved too. Is this the same as the $300 off bonus JB Coupon or something else entirely? If it's the same thing, does that mean I wouldn't be able to use the bonus $300 towards the Pixel 8 Pro?

Based on my previous experience, you will only get the trade in value deducted from purchase price. The additional trade in credit and bonus $350 from google (in the form of JB gift card) will give it to you when you pick up the device. You can use the total of $650 gift card in any future purchase at JB but can’t use towards the pixel purchase
I've had luck in the past with JBHIFI around applying a gift card post purchase, within 30 days of purchase. This could be an option for those keen to use the bonus gift card on the phone

It's a discontinued A73 and i'll do anything to avoid the hassle of selling a phone on gumtree (scammers / time wasters) or ebay (fees) again
@Kitt1970: Yeah that's easier, the fb marketplace messages are a pain too. Ebay good if you got it and free promos if it's a newish phone but trading good in your case if they aren't worth much.

I can't even get the bloody square trade up site to complete the quote, get an error message after returning to pc page following ID verification. They said to empty cart and clear browsers nothing works. Will see what they say tomorrow, surely can do in store.

Annoying they didn't allow Pixel 4a to be traded in when this deal was on for all Pixels including Pixel 7, because they knew we would be wanting an upgrade the most. But now you can trade them in.

The instructions advise to have my old device sent within 7 days of order however, they also indicate with pre-orders, the return days could be extended.Does anyone know if the days are extended with the Pixel 8 launch and how much longer?

I've noticed the trade in value charged to my card ($375, pending). Is this a hold in case you don't send it back? The gift card applied successfully bringing the out of pocket down but though I'd check as once they receive the phone you shouldn't get charged $375.
People are mentioning $1 trade in value minimum but seems like the minimum is actually $10 according to the site
I picked Samsung S7 last month to trade in for Pixel 7 and still received the $300 bonus coupon. Was only valued at $1.
Wonder if it has changed recently as most older deals reference $1. Now it says this

$1 or $10 isn't bad to gain access to the $300 voucher.
Depends what phone you want to trade, sounds like some people don't want to trade in a decent phone, so they'd only get $10 instead of $375 (for example P7).@G-rig: both are fine but for example if you wanted to trade in a pixel 4a, that may no longer be an option now. YMMV
