    Have finally been offered the voucher for the replacement washer/dryer combo, taken multiple chats, calls and emails to achieve. Sorta over it, but $349.50 for a washer is hard to knock back.

    For those following along at home, I finally got the result.

    They just sent me through a voucher code for the bigger capacity 9kg version of the original black addwash washer for $349…

    Thats what they told me would happen on their phone call on the 27/10, after the first escalation when they cancelled on me. First they asked me if there were any dimensional constraints in my laundry, because I guess the 9k is a physically bigger machine than the original 8.5kg.EDIT: no I just checked they are the same dimensions - weird.

    But that voucher didn't arrive within the 5 business days they said it would.
    So then I re-escalated on chat on 04/11, where they said allow 7-10 more business days, and the voucher just arrived today.

    So I'm pretty happy with this outcome. The 9kg version of the original addwash machine is a much better value proposition than the washer/dryer combo machine some others got.

    But moreover I'm glad they had the nouse to come to the party without too much of a fight, after their breach of ACL.

    So if they cancelled/refunded on you after they called you to say it was coming on 30/10, then don't give up. If they cancelled on you without that phone call, then you are probably SOL because that the part that breached ACL. But you could maybe ride on our coat tails and just say you got the call. Because it seems like those calls were directed by somebody incompetent so they may not even have a record of who got them.

    • Would you mind sharing your case no so that we can refer that to as a resolution offered. It's insanely hard to get an outcome from Samsung. Were you calling them or on Live Chat ?

      • I didn't have a case number. I just used my Samsung login and order number, and they were able to bring up the history etc. I just used chat each time to escalate, and usually someone would call me back a day or so later.

        My new machine is supposed to arrive on Wednesday, so I will pm my invoice once I actually have the machine.

                    • @msmhw: Started with online support, have been dealing with a direct email address contact since it was escalated. However the last 2 emails I sent have gone unreplied.

                  • @MooreOff: Have you received a replacement voucher from them? Until yesterday morning, they assured me that a voucher would be issued. However, unexpectedly, they called to say they couldn't issue the voucher and instead offered me $50, which I declined, specifying that I am seeking a washing machine voucher, not $50.

                        I'm not sold on the black colour, but other than that it has every feature we need and much better than the (still current model) LG we did have.

                        The LG forced you to turn the dial and press like 10 buttons, every… single… time, just to get your favourite wash cycle and settings. Turn the dial about 5 clicks to quick wash, press the water temp button 3 times to cycle through to cold, press the spin button 3 times to cycle through to 1400rpm, check the settings are right on the screen, press the start button. Grrr, that's 20 seconds of my life I will never get back, every damn time.

                        This samsung starts off like that, but after about 3 washes it learns what your favourite settings are and boots up with all of those pre-selected as if by magic. So every tiome after that its one button to start the cycle you want - Luxury!.

                      • @MooreOff: Don't give up. I had similar thing happen and got my voucher a week ago. Took several emails to follow up, and eventually i emailed saying if i dont hear anything by a certain time, i was going to call. I had my voucher 40 minutes later :-) I have completed the order, but still waiting for it to be sent.

                            @Yowie: When someone originally rang me querying whether i still wanted a machine, they said they would research an appropriate model as a replacement and then email me the model details so i could agree before they create the voucher code. So the email i was responding to was a single person. Originally they sent through the model details of a basic 8.5kg, but after responding they agreed to 9kg white BubbleWash machine which is what has since been ordered.

                            @Yowie: Just contact the customer representative on chat through website and ask them to open case regarding your issue, that way I did , then I started following up every alternate day .

                        • @pickme: Thanks stumo and pickme for the updates, I'll keep trying. I currently have a 8.0kg Samsung bubblewash, has been quite qood, was planning on giving it to my son. Certainly a lot better than the joke of a Whirlpool I had before that.

        • My case was closed with disappointment. They originally offered multiple times verbally, a voucher replacement code. However, they have now retracted it and said that 15% off voucher is the best they can provide. It was take it or leave it. So based on that, this whole saga is now closed for me. Happy for those who received their washers at this price.
