      The lady said the voucher discount % depended on what I would like to purchase. She gave examples: 15% off washer or dryer. Or 20% off tv.
      And to let her know if I was planning to purchase anything in the future so she can email it through.

    Got a text saying mines coming tomorrow. Thats the $479 order that I booked for tomorrow. The other $349 order I have is waiting for stock after getting the phone call.

  • My first one arrived today. The delivery guys had a further 3 in their van. They said they had not much for months, then suddenly today they had already done 8.

    I told them about the $350 deal and they were surprised at the price, and the sudden workload made sense to them then. They are going to be busy for a while.

    • I got mine today as well. The guys were telling me that they had to deliver 14 today. Somehow they knew about it being ~$400 lol.

        Did they help with attachment? If not, did they atleast help place it near the washer attachments?

        • They only placed it near my laundry cabinet (live in an apartment), didn't even bother unpacking and left. Meh, free delivery so can't complain.
          It was interesting because Samsung did confirm that, even with free delivery, the courier was supposed to place the machine where I wanted and take away the packaging. However, the courier (ANC) stated that would be a premium delivery with additional cost.

    Then today out of nowhere I get the cancellation email.

  • wtf… they cancelled it and sent a voucher thats valid for 3 days to buy the combo that i already agreed to them sending me………what a highly inefficient way to do things. to bad if i didnt have another 350 to buy it again or if the refund didnt come through in 3 days. called them and made them aware im not to happy but obviously they cant un-cancel an order

    • IMO nothing to complain about… they certainly can just cancel the order without offering you a different model with the same price (this is what most companies will do in a OOS scenario)
      It is also better that you have a new transaction and tax invoice with the new machine which will linked to your warranty

      • my complaint is with the fact it was cancelled and then i have to order again. like i said it would be a problem if i didnt have an extra $350. there was no reason they couldn't have sent the machine that they already called to offer, the voucher is literally for the same machine. just doesn't make a great deal of sense in my opinion. obviously still getting a voucher for the option to buy it is great instead of just cancelling it, im just the kind of person that doesnt like stupid things and cancelling an order so i can order the same thing just with it taking an extra week i guess now is pretty stupid

    • Gah ffs. if I'd known they weren't going to ship my 2 machines the same, I would have changed both orders over to the combo machine. I just want 2 identical machines like I ordered.

      I may have to get them to take this black one back and replace it with a second combo machine. But dealing with them has been painful. It seems their backend ordering systems are a bit crap.

        • Yeah I guess it is kinda odd… But at this price I was planning to keep one as a spare, like a source for parts for when its out of warranty. Usually they become uneconomical to repair due to the price of parts, but thsese are so cheap that it makes sense

  • Got the cancellation email and a code to buy the replacement…used shopback for an extra 4% which got tracked. All good.

  • They finally got through to me this afternoon and said stock was arriving at the warehouse on the 31st Oct. They didn't even offer me the combo machine but did say they would send through a discount voucher for my patience which still hasn't arrived.

    • I had to chase them up over chat to get the code. Tried on a 65" frame and it looks like it's only 15%

    I have been avoiding Samsung calls, today they gave up and cancelled my order. Got a voucher to purchase the washer/dryer that I don't want. Not happy about it but what can you do.

  • Had yet another call from Samsung yesterday saying it was coming in the 31st. They just called again today saying it's out of stock and offered me the combo system… Again.

    I said I don't want the combo system (again) and she told me to just wait for a notification from the courier 🤷.

WTF is happening, their backend fulfilment team is outsourced overseas call centre and have absolutely no idea what they are doing ? Perks of getting cheap washing machine and no support to fall back on

    I just got the same call about cancelled order of which i sternly refused. Politely told her that it wasn't good enough, that i had purchased the item at a promo price unlikely to be repeated, that you've held my money for well over a week and that I'm extremely unsatisfied with the outcome and to escalate my complaint to customer resolutions.
    She accepted that, said she hasn't cancelledb the order and will get back to me tomorrow with an update.

    Let's see how I go.

    • I said exactly the same thing when I had the phone call around 4pm today but just got another phone call just then (7.20pm) and was told that nothing can be done so it's either cancellation or the replacement product. I was looking for other brand for around the same price, could not see anything that is around the same price including delivery so might as well get a replacement one and plan to sell it within a year or two.

  • What an absolute mess this has been. Just curious if those who's order got cancelled have been refunded yet. As i bought twice (once at the $429) and cancelled and my money was back that day. But this time even after the cancelled email they sent, my actual order isn't cancelled. I'm just going to leave my money in limbo and see what these muppets do…

    • yes, refund notice from Samsung has been raised a few hours after my order was cancelled. It will take 2-3 days to process though.

      • If you just cancel the order yourself from the samsung app or possibly on the online site. My money was back in my account within about 2 hours.

    Based on legal advice from someone working in the consumer law space, Samsung are in breach of the ACL, not in the first interaction, not when they advised they have no stuck and have an option to wait or acceptance an (inferior) alternative BUT rather when they contacted customers again by phone saying the machine was now back in stock and will be delivered after 30/10. Only to then backtrack and refund without providing an equal or better alternative. Their acceptance and advise of delivery amounts to a contract they have entered, accepted and then breached.
    This is a very valid case to refer to the TIO for those interested.

        There is no alternative model. It's a flat 10% discount that doesn't stack with anything. I wasn't offered the combo model.

        I lost my $50 sign up code, 10% first app order and the discount from SECRET10 on this order. So I'm supposed to be grateful?

    I think its only the $349 orders that are getting straight cancelled without the combo offer.

    Nobody has proven otherwise yet (despite being asked).

          they originally called me and swapped it on there end then they randomly cancelled the order and sent an email from a case manger of the voice of customer service division ( weird name) saying as discussed ( wasn't discussed with me) your order has been cancelled and we want to offer you the alternate model at the same price with this voucher. and yea i went and ordered it again, delivery due monday

    Mine just arrived, accepted the washer and dryer combo and they ended up sending the original purchase. funny but happy that I got it.

    Just got the combo received today, actually pretty happy with it
    (upgraded from a 7 years old LG 7kg washing machine)

    TBH I prefer the combo than original one simply because of the colour (prefer white over black)
    Normal cotton wash takes around 90mins and I probably wont use the "dryer function" in the combo much
    given I already got a heat pump dryer

    Although the original washer was cancelled, I received the combo machine yesterday and worked out well in the end for me.

    Sold my 8 yr old samsung washing machine for $250 so can't complain for a $100 upgrade with warranty.

    I'm still trying to get a substitute machine to the $349 order they cancelled on me

    The key here is that they called me to say it would be coming on 30/10. That indicates an acceptance of the "contract" under ACL. They can't then just subsequently cancel like they did.

    I have escalated twice now. First escalation they told me they would send me a voucher within 5 business days for an equivalent/better machine for $349. But that voucher never showed up. So I've escalated that again now. 7 business days this time. Then it will be straight to NSW fair trading, I'm not going down without a fight.

    I think Samsung are trying to do the right thing here. It's just their right hand doesn't know what their left hand is doing. Which is what got them into this mess with the key error they made above.

        Nothing yet, but its still within their arbitrary 7 to 10 business day window. But this is their last chance before I go straight to NSW fair trading. I'm over it.
