    not wifi 6. :(

    • Definitely. Although I don't know if I would really need a Wi-Fi 6 for near future.

      • Most smartphones now support WiFi 6 or even 6E.

        • +1

          Doesn't mean you'll notice much difference…

          • @jv: you notice it with wireless VR headsets with wifi 6.

            • +1

              @kungfuman:

you notice it with wireless VR headsets

              So 0.02% of the population…

              • @jv: You mean approx 0.4% of the global population has VR head sets which is about 40 milllion units sold globally, so pretty sure 40 million most of that is the quest 2 which is wireless. So… alot of people want wifi 6

      not wifi 6. :(

Most people will not need this.

      • wheres your proof?

        • +1

I don't answer questions with grammatical errors.

          • @jv: So no proof? What a surprise.

            • @kungfuman: I don't see you providing proof.

              • @jv: I didn't come up with a statement that says "Most people will not need this."

    • Wifi 6 isn't necessary yet. I've got this plus another next wifi router. Note that the wifi points are not very good and best used in assistant only mode, the wifi routers are far superior to the wifi points. I've got 2x in assistant only mode with 1x in point mode + 2x nest wifi routers, any more points and the entire network bottle necks at the points.

These are also smart speakers if you’re the kind of person who thinks they’re a good idea

No need to be rude mate. If you think otherwise, state facts why is the X25 pack worse than the old
        Google mesh system listed.

        • +1

I wasn’t being rude, the x25 is better all round unless you want the smart speaker feature.

          • +1

@get-innocuous: Ok sorry. I think its the X20 though that is also smart speaker. Dont think X25s are.

  • I shared this before, but i just returned my google nest. I saw that there were mixed reviews, but these were almost unusable. What happens is that they lose connection between them all the time. So that it shows that you have full bars, but its actually got either none or a weak connection, so you cant use the wifi. Then it fails mesh tests, and wont even connect to google home. Plus other issues. I replaced with the Deco series (goodguys deal) and its insane how much better they are. The real issues for the google nest started around 30days in for these ive found and since found lots of reviews about this.
Your experience may differ, but just saying that i ignored the reviews and this was my experience

    • I find you need to put each within pretty close distance to the other otherwise the whole network's performance goes down.

I've been using my set of 3 in my double brick 2 storey home for over a year. Best thing I ever did, solved all my previous wifi issues. I'm a professional video editor so I move a lot of data, speed is solid and reliable. The other thing I love is that I can move between ISPs nice and easily, just plug in or reconfigure the modem, all my smart home devices remain on the Nest wifi so no reconfiguring for anything required. I highly recommend these.

      Yours must be faulty…

I have the router and 3 nodes and never have problems and our internal walls are solid brick.

      • As i said, it was my experience, but i saw that this is fairly common in reviews. I just thought that i have other google products so would be fine. But it constantly put my speeds to almost zero, lost connection and then wouldnt even complete the mesh tests. When i put in my refund, the support person said they had seen my problem before and didnt even ask me to troubleshoot. My house is pretty small, and the nodes were about 5m apart with all 3 of them.
I have the deco now and for an extra $100, these are so vastly superior. I even have strong wifi out on the street with them. Each to their own

        • +1

Sounds like you had faulty ones.

100% agree. These suck for anything other than the most basic set up. You'll get better value for money and easier control with anything else at the same price point.

They need to be connected to the internet to work at all and if your connection is even slightly unstable the access points disconnect but don't realise they're not connected so don't attempt to reconnect.

If you want to change the connection mode (to use DHCP instead of pppoe for example) you need to disconnect it from the Internet, turn your phone mobile data off and then access the app. Change the one setting, then change your phone settings back etc.

Cannot access the menu from your computer, must be your phone app, through the internet except in the above circumstance. So dumb.

  • please be kind.

    Why?

  • Everyone will have different thoughts on this product.
I will give my genuine openion on this product.

I bought this 3 years ago after i fed up with many mesh products and also wifi extenders (Some are very expensive like netgear night hawk).
This is my best buy so farin electronics. not even a single issue since I bought this. I also recommoded this to 3 of my frieds and they are also very happy with the product.

Very recently i moved home for some personal reason. During my shifting, Accidentally the main router dropped from above my wardrobe at least 6 feet high. not even a single scratch or any glitch in range or signal. working like charm even after it bounced… i know it sounds crazy but accidents happen.. I thought that will break as it fallen on a hard surface and bounced like a ball hahaha … lucky me.. anyways.. what I was trying to say is… I was amazed with the quality of this product.

you buy it or not all depends on your personal preference.. but if you are considering mesh.. then i recommond going with this one.

Good luck and have a great day.

    • Everyone will have different thoughts on this product.

      That is not true.

      • It is bro.
No point lying here and cheating people or guiding them wrong way. Am not that kind.

  • TP-LINK Deco AX1800 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System (3-pack) is $251 in GG commercial, other mesh units way better value than this like TP-LINK AXE5400 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6E System (2-pack) for $345

  • How do are you getting this price? its $379 for a 3 pack.

    • Too late to check, the deal has expired already.
