Spotify Premium: 18 Months Individual, 243 days Duo or 206 Days (~7 Months) Family ~A$47.81 @ Spotify Egypt (VPN Required)

3110

This deal is similar to my post last year, but results in a cheaper outcome: circa A$2.66 per month for Individual or A$1.18/month per person if you have a full Family group of six people.

What you will need before starting

  1. VPN with Egypt Server: ExpressVPN, CyberGhost or Surfshark (or another if I am not aware). CyberGhost has a 7-day free trial.
  2. New or lapsed existing Spotify account (can be Australian)

Step 1: Cancel your existing premium subscription to Spotify and wait for the current billing period to end, or create a free account if you don't have one

Edit for step 2 below: users have reported that they have only been able to redeem one gift card (some have said the 12 month has worked but not the 6 month, or vice versa. Note: I have removed specific links from this step because users have reported issues redeeming these gift cards.

Solutions found by other users:
1. Users have reported that the below method works for Spotify India instead
2. If you have already purchased a code which is not working, contact live chat
3. Purchase 3 x 6 month codes instead

Step 2: Purchase 1 x 12 Month Egypt Spotify Premium Gift Card] and 1 x from G2A (alternatively, 3 x 6 months) or another site with Egyptian Spotify gift card. Note: Price quoted in title is based on current total price of the two gift cards linked here, however the price may vary depending on where you purchase it.

Step 3: Turn on your VPN and set location to Egypt. Note: Many VPN providers do not have an Egyptian server.

Step 4: While VPN is activated, go to your 'account' here and click 'Edit Profile', an option to set your country to 'Egypt' should appear (this option is greyed out if you have still have an active premium subscription). If it does not appear, check your VPN is activated correctly. Save your changes. This will now let you redeem Egyptian gift cards.

Step 5: Click Redeem and paste your gift card codes that you previously purchased in Step 2. You will see that the confirmation message will mention '12 Months Premium' and '6 Months Premium' being redeemed. Once you have redeemed both codes, here you will see EGP 499 and EGP 300 respectively in your order history. If you attempt to redeem more than 18 months, you will get an error stating that you cannot redeem more than 18 months of premium in advance.

Note: Stop here if you wish to keep your account as an Individual account. If you wish to convert your 18 Months Premium to 243 days of Duo or 206 days of Family, continue to Step 6. If you stop here your account will remain an "Egyptian" account. Please note, if you do not continue to step 9, this will mean video podcasts will not work on your account.

Step 6: Go to "Account Overview" and click on "Your Plan". Now click "Subscribe" at the bottom. You will now see "Your Plan" with EGP49.99 / month and the next billing date will be 18 months from now. Beneath the summary, you'll see a payment gateway show up with some Egyptian payment options. Look beneath them and you will see "Change country" in the footer. Click on it and select Australia. You will now see $12.99 per month and the next billing date has been reduced to ~12 months from now. This is due to some sort of conversion rate between countries. Do not proceed yet.

Step 7: At the top, click "Change Plan". On the next page, click on Premium Duo or Premium Family. Confirm that the new billing date is approximately 243 days from now (for duo) or 7 months (206 days) for Family.

Step 8: Choose PayPal as the payment method and follow the prompts to finalise. Your PayPal won't be charged until the date stated in the summary.

Step 9: After confirming, your account will be Australian, so choose your normal Australian address for the Premium Duo/Family as you normally would, and tell your "family" members to enter the same address.

    Thanks worked!!!!

Omg. I just found all recommend songs are Egyptian songs after this methods, even though my all play lists and liked songs are not.

    • I’ve seen reported that this will change back within days, but if you end up proceeding to the family (or duo) step it’ll be an Australian account

  • Sorry if this has already been confirmed, but after locking in 18 months worth of gift cards on the Egyptian account, is it fine to change the account settings back to Australia and still benefit from the 18 months or must the account stay in Egypt?

    • +1

When I tried this, the Australian equivalent ended up being circa 12 months rather than 18 months (ie subscribe > change country > Australia > PayPal). I think they apply some sort of conversion rate between countries. Duo would be somewhere between 7-12 months and family is 7 months

  • thank you!

Absolute life saver! My subscription just ended after Oldubil stopped working. Ended up being around $50 after conversion to AUD. Roughly paying $2.80 per month absolute win!

Best part as well is that it lasts 18 months so no screwing around for ages!

Tried 6 months in case ProtonVPN played up but surprisingly worked first go so ill get the 12 month card in the next few days to top up…thanks OP!

  • +1

Thanks mate! its a cost saver in this day and age to enjoy as Oldubil stopped for me as well and this helped me to gain 12 months without a hassle with ease!

  • +2

anyone else had this issue.. I had bought the 6 months and now i cant access the code.

Your account has been blocked due to violation of our rules and policies. We're sorry but this decision cannot be changed and your account will not be reinstated.

    • I managed to redeem the 12 months.. but as I converted to family plan Australian, the premium is only for 3 months.. I dont know what im doing wrong here. Its not working for me.
    • Which account was blocked? G2A or Spotify?

      • G2A

    What happens after 7 months?

  • +1

Just signed up to a duo plan, 18 months egpyt converted to 243 days.

    • +4

A bit cheaper but not great. May be worth doing 2 individual plans and have piece of mind for longer

    • Thanks, I’ll update the headline

  • +2

This is exactly what I needed after the Oldubil/Turkey drama

worked perfectly for individual, thanks heaps!

  • I tried buying the Spotify cards and my bank had kittens with the purchase saying it was dodgy.

Can others verify it actually is cool?

    • use PayPal

Thanks.converted my turkish family to egyptians then australians. Have 7 months premium for $46.

  • +1

Thanks OP! Cheaper than AU family sharing spots.
    Got 1.5 years of premium for $47 = $2.61/mth.
If I did family sharing it equals to $3.5/mth and I get judged for my music taste.

  • anyone can help me to use my oldubill balance? i still got 600 lira in oldubill….

    • If you have Turkish Netflix you can get gift cards to use for that.

I've got about 170 left that I'm debating whether I top up to 200 to get another 200 netflix card.

      • where can you use oldubil to buy netflix giftcards? I tried on turgame and it won't go through

        • +1

You can buy them on the Oldubil app.

Oldubil home page > My payments > Games & Entertainment

          • @Neyo01: ah I did not know. What did you do about the phone number?

  • +2

Thanks this was easy! I lost my Spotify Premium via Türkiye OlduBill this month. Signed up to Egypt for 12 months for under $29 for Premium.
    Bless

    • so should we cancel the Turkiye membership first or just follow the step by step guide would be easy to transfer us?

      • +1
        1. Best not to cancel. Get kicked off the premium plan (maximise your premium days). Also for family plans, you gotta be kicked off to join a new family.
        2. Once you get kicked off, do the steps here for spotify egypt.
        • I got kicked off by receiving an email saying I'm going to lose my membership if the payment method is not updated.

And I followed the steps here and got it done in 10 mins!

          Thanks!

  • Might be worthwhile to note that Audiobooks are not available for these.

    • Only the owner of the family account gets Audiobooks, other members do not.

  • +1

Wicked! Got 18 months Individual Premium. Cheers OP!

    • Which VPN did you use?

      • I used adguard. Get the 1 year plan. Once completed ask for refund.

Only the 1 year /2 year plans are eligible for refund.

      • I use Private Internet Access.

  • +6

Just found that this German websites say that using Amazon India to purchase Spotify India gift card. Looks like a little bit cheaper.

    • +3

I thought I would try it out for you.

Bought 1 month to test and it worked as far as I can tell, cost me $2.43 for an individual plan.

      12 months would cost $1.85ish

      18 Months would cost $1.99ish

Had to put in an Indian address for some reason even though it is only email delivery, because the first random address I chose wasn't accepted I ended up grabbing a random one from an Indian mail forwarding service and it worked.

Indianshoppre Pvt Ltd : #218/190, Outer Ring Road, Agara, Sector 1, H.S.R. Layout, Bengaluru - 560102, Karnataka, India

Code was emailed within 10 minutes.

But after I bought one it is showing as out of stock but just when I am logged in on my account? NFI why, one of the German comments say you can only purchase 1 a day so maybe it will reset in 24 hours?

      • Is there any option for family this way?

        • Probably, I don't need a family plan ATM so not gonna test it myself.

But I would imagine it would be similar to the Egypt instructions above.

      • damn it I just bought 12 months but my VPN has removed India, any suggestions?

        • +1

Idk windscribe is free and seems to have an indian server also free protonvpn looks like it has indian as well maybe haven't tested but that's where I would look first.

        • Try the Hola VPN extension for Google Chrome. Might need to refresh the browser and also have to wait a min for it to activate but it does work

          • @BlueberryOrangeJuice: For some reason Hola didn't work so I ended up going with Surfshark and it worked. 12 months premium thanks @JBHighFive!

        • Urban VPN should work and it’s free on PC

      • thank you.. worked a treat

18 months -> 206days family plan. Got the amazon emails with the code within 5mins.

₹1908 Indian Rupees -> ~$35.39 AUD for 7months Family plan.

        • I forget change to Rupees when payment. End up paying 4% of the fee. $36.57 is what i pay today.

        • Hi, can you pls share what payment method you used for Amazon India?

          • @Panini: just my normal amazon payment.

in this case, i had my Australian credit card attached to my amazon Australia account, so i just used that.

You need to add an Indian address first, otherwise u can't add the item to card properly or it may say 0 stock.

      • Careful with this, quite a few comments on the German website said their Amazon account got banned

    • Thanks guys. I followed the steps from the German website and paid $44 for 10 months of spotify premium family.

  • When attempting to change to a family plan and enter my billing info after authenticating though paypal I get "Your payment method and country don't match". Anyone got any tips?

    • +1

You have to change country to Australia as per step 6

      • +1

Thank you for dealing with me. It worked.

  • Hopefully someone finds a new deal ~6 months from now

    • This format of deal has existed for some time so I doubt it wouldn’t be available then 😊

      • Pricing reverts back to original 7 months from now… No one would be willing to pay AU prices then.

        • Yes but cancel your plan and when it lapses, repeat the process

  • What's the go with step 6 and 7? Do I change to Australia or not? It says do not proceed? Do you change to Australia before changing to DUO? Hurting my head.

    • You have to change country to Australia, then select plan. If you do it in the reverse order it won’t work because the payment method needs to match the country

  • Weird… So I bought just the 12 months and converted it to family and before submitting, I noticed I only got 104 days. I tried to buy another 6 months from G2A however the payment constantly failed.

    I wonder why there's a discrepancy 12 months = 104 days, but 18 months = 206 days?

Seems a bit odd. Nonetheless, still cheaper than AU family for 3 months. Just not as cheap as I wished for

    • That’s weird, I never tried the 12 months first so I’m not sure whether or not that’s consistent with everyone else.

  • +1

Looking at the RECEIPT it seems they also increased the price to $12.99 from $11 in the last 2 months and I didn't even know.

Thanks for this it worked prefectly :)

  • +1

    Works..
i did a year of individual subscription and it worked for me.

  • +2

    Still working. Thanks OP.

  • +1

Whatever you do, don't proceed past step 5 if you want individual, I just added my Australian card and it went back to Australian account and it paid for 1 month in AUD.
Hopefully after the month runs out I can swap back to Egypt and I don't lose my 18 months :(

  • +1

Trying to check out on G2A and the page keeps crashing

Tried a different browser, checked out successful

  • +1

Ok this worked flawless for me. Showing as Premium Individual expiring 5/12/25.

I was going to do the family plan for me and the Mrs, but now thinking it's much better value to get 2 x Individual plans for 2 years at this price!

  • Worked perfectly and have Premium access!

However I accidentally only put in the 12-month code and forgot to include my 6-month code on the redeem page. If I redeem again with the 6-month code, will it override the 12-month code or add-on and become 18 months?

    • +1

You need to redeem them separately so that’s fine. It’ll add on, you just can’t go over 18 months total

      • Oh I see, all sorted now. Thanks!

  • +1

in case anyone has same issue as me with inviting old family plan members.
They will need to edit their profile and change region to Australia in order to join. For mine they were still "located" in Turkey

  • Why does G2A block my account when I try to purchase a gift card?

    • Not sure, I purchased the gift cards while located in Australia. Perhaps if you have your vpn on at the time of purchase the payment method will not work?

      • Could be the reason

Do you know how to unban? I've tried different emails and change chrome profiles but didn't work

        • Not sure, it might be something to do with your MAC address. I’d try contacting G2A support

      • Can confirm if the vpn is active at time of purchase, it bans you and purchase does not work

  • +1

Just moved from Turkey to Egypt and worked for me as an individual - says I have 546 days remaining

  • When I changed to a family plan and country to Australia, the next billing is a bit more than 3 months away instead of the 7 you mentioned. Anything I could have done wrong in the process?

    • +2

Did you change your country first or the plan - could have played a part as steps mention to change country first.

      • Yes this is most likely right. I recall when attempting it myself, I tried making it longer by changing the plan first then the country but it didn’t work properly

  • I don't have a VPN, is it possible to get this deal by just using spotify direct?

I am also not sure how to integrate a VPN across my computers, as I understand that is the purpose of a VPN

    Thank you

    • +1

VPN is only required while redeeming the girft cards - once you begin using spotify you weren't need your VPN anymore

  • +1

Worked like a charm! Thank you so much!

  • Hi all, i tried using my ING debit card via Paypal. Paypal sent me an email stating that i had sent 30.82 usd to G2A.

G2A rejected my payment. No money deducted from my ING account.

has anyone encountered such issues when buying giftcards from G2A?

    • Some other comments stated having issues with G2A. Did you make the payment with or without VPN enabled? Try without VPN when making the payment for gift card and let me know how you go.

      • I tried both with VPN (Egypt) and Australia. Not successful.

I'll try with tor browser tonight

        • Somehow Chrome and Chrome incognito mode don't work for me.

This is what worked for me:

          1. I used Brave's Private Window. I couldn't even get into G2A website with Brave's Private Window with Tor browser
          2. Bought the spotify giftcards with ING debit card while on Australian IP address
          3. Turned on CyberGhost VPN and changed IP to Egypt.
          4. Changed my country of residence from Turkey to Egypt. My spotify account was already in Spotify Free mode.
          5. Redeemed giftcards. Voila!

i left my account as Egyptian.
