Cheap Spotify Premium Individual with simple steps.

Cheaper than this popular deal

I spend a lot of my time and some of my money to check and test this deals, so please be kind and show some love.

Price Comparison (Australia prices vs India Prices)

Australia: Spotify Premium Individual A$12.99 per Month (Say What?)

India: Spotify Premium Individual 12 months ₹1,189 (~A$21.15). That's around ~A$1.76 per month. (That's the way)

Note: Spotify Premium Family it's not yet available on Amazon India

However you might be able to use siberry 's steps from this deal to convert

Edit: Important note. You need to have an inactive account. Meaning that you need not to have an active Premium account in order to follow the steps. Alternatively you can make a new account.

Step 1
Go to Amazon Australia to your account and add an Indian address.

Name: Your name and surname
Street: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Int'l Airport Rd
City: Mumbai
State/Province/Region: Maharashtra
Postal Code: 400099
Phone Number: 1234567890

Step 2.
(Incognito mode recommended) Log in to Amazon India with your current Amazon AU account. Buy a Spotify card from FPC Retail (58% positive rating) on Amazon India. Spotify Premium Individual 12 month ₹1,189 (~A$21.15) and if want to get the maximum of 18 months buy the 6 month Spotify Premium ₹719 (~A$12.79)
(Revolut it's recommended, but any card should work).
Note: 12 months comes out cheaper per month than 18 months.

Step 3.
They will send you a code by email to the email you have in your Amazon account. (They will send you 2 email codes if you went for the 18 months).

Step 4.
Switch your VPN ON and set the location to India.
When the VPN is activated, go to Spotify. Go to "account" then "Edit Profile", change the country setting option to "India" it should appear.
If it does not appear, check if the VPN is activated correctly . Save Changes. This will now enable you to redeem your Indian Gift Card.

Step 5.
Copy and paste the gift card codes you have previously purchased. If you try to redeem more than 18 months of premium, you will receive an error stating that you cannot redeem more than 18 months of premium in advance.

The following hasn't been tested and most probably will apply for this deal too. Thanks to siberry for all the following converting steps.

Use Step 6 to Step 9 from this deal

    x manager works too

    • yes, however on my new iphone it wont. One thing ill miss about android

      • +3

ofc. just for all the android users out there

      • So this will not work on an iphone, is that right?

        • +1

          Deal works fine for iphone

      • there are ipas that do the same for iphone, just that sideloading on ios is much more difficult (and often not free)

    • -1

      Not 320kbps though

    • +3

+1, the only thing that you can't really do on xmanager is join Spotify play parties with friends who have premium, otherwise, everything else works.

      • I cast from my phone to my Nest Audio, I assume you can't do that either

        • Yeah there's that too I guess, smart devices that use their own version of the Spotify app will detect that you're not using premium, easily solved by just using BT, though you do miss out on some functionality.

    • -1

      Sorry to be a n00b, but what's X Manager? Tried googling :p

      • OK I think I just found it - AMAZING lol

    • +2

Xmanager doesn't seem to work with Google Assistant always says blah blah need premium to listen to a specific song

  • @Scrooge McDeal what VPN are you using ?

    • +3

Free Urban VPN works, but any VPN that lands you to India should do.

      • I thought the same until I was trying to use NordVPN for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trick and every time I would select Turkey, my IP was actually in Spain?!?! I used a free online one and it worked lol

How may lakhs does this work out to?

    • +2

      0.01189 lakhs

        • Why?

          • -6

@Rkshar: Everything should be in terms of lakhs and crores.

            • @Mondorock: Unfortunately for you you're in a country where metric system is in use. Maybe try USA or something.

              • -3

@BitSlap: Lakhs and crores are metric - they are multiples of 10. They are not, however, SI units.

Does the code come instantly? ordered and havent got the code yet

You most likely wont get any email until it changes from "Preparing for Dispatch"

Is there similar thing for Audible? It is crazy expensive here.

    • +2

Would like to know this as well . Thanks OP

      • Yes would like to know as well

        • +1

Yeah. Just use Amazon.in with the same account and you should be good to buy.

          • @ThePeterGriffin: Does that mean you have to rely on books released to the Amazon India store only? Or can you access Amazon Australia books too (some are limited due to copyright deals)

            • @spozbargain: I would guess so. I didn't come across any books not found here due to copyright but you can check that out on amazon.in audible with your account to confirm. I had previously used it and always found the books "I" wanted.

              • @ThePeterGriffin: I have my Amazon account from India and I cannot access Aussie books as it says I'm in a different country

Does this work on an iphone?

  • This is what i see on order status

  • Disappointing that Premium Family is not available. Thanks OP though.

    • If you have a CC that works in India, the Family plan is Rs. 179 per month. I have a CC issued in India (as I work across both countries) and it works just fine.

      • +1

Would an ING debit card work would you happen to know?

        • +2

Not sure. You might have better luck with a virtual Revolut card as I know it’s worked in the past for me.

      • Wow, I wish I could do the same mate.

      • Did you still need vpn to use indian cc?

  • +3

IF you have an android, you can get the free Spotify version that has been unlocked with premium features for free.

    • Wait, they got the apk working again..?

      • +6

        never stopped working? mobilism. me

        Balatan version.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts v8.8.96.364 [Amoled] [Mod]

        • or xManager

        • You, sir, are a champion! Got the mobilism version and it works perfectly! Thank you

        • Can you download for offline listening with this app?

          • @nataz6: Interested too. Download seems to be missing. But no ads.

          • @nataz6: I have xManager and I cannot download.
I also like to play music through my car with Spotify on Android Auto and Android Auto doesnt allow me to use the premium functions like playing a song you search for. You still need to use your phone to search and play songs that you want. Spotify works on Android Auto but it just doesnt have the Premium functions.

    • Hi pformag, if you don't mind me asking. Where and how? Thanks

      • See above.

        • Thank you! Will look into it now!

          • +6

@RustyCATz: You have to create an account (free)

Search Spotify, go to the one created on the 1st Jan 2024.

Then you have to select your correct operating system when downloading

            armeabi-v7a or arm64-v8a

Make sure you uninstall your current version of spotify, then install this one. You can log in as per normal to your free Spotify account, so you don't lose any playlists etc. Been using it for 8+ years now

            • @pformag: Awesome!! Got it working!! Thank you!!

            • +1

@pformag: Hi pformag, with this method, will the spotify premium only works on the android phone? Ideally I want my echo devices to use spotify as the default player as well and with access to all the musics…

            • @pformag: thanks for this, have you come into any issues during your 8+ year run?

              • @Archaleas: Not at all. I update once a year from the same forum. Just need to remember to reinstall it manually if you upgrade our phone, because Google will just reinstall the play store version.

                • @pformag: Thanks installed and running, i have noticed that i can't change the quality to "very high" in the audio settings and can't downlaod songs for offline use, same for you?

                • @pformag: Also any issues with chrome casting? It's coming up with ads

                  • @Archaleas: Yeah, it doesn't do it without ads. It's on specific for the device it is on. I use Bluetooth to get around it.

                    • @pformag: Bugger, I have to Chromecast to my tv to get to the main music system

    • Or you can use YouTube music revanced…..

    • Not 320kbps though

  • Any family account options?

    • Note: Spotify Premium Family it's not yet available on Amazon India

      Source

      • That is for purchasing family directly from Amazon.
But you should be able to convert an individual account to a family account using step 6 - step 9 as per the original post. The 18 months will reduce to 5-7 months when you do this, meaning you need to repeat this process every 5-7 months. But this still ends up cheaper per person ($0.80-$1.13 per month/per person).

Aren't they going to be suspicious if everyone uses the same address?

    • +11

Not if you named yourself Sachin Tendulkar..

    • +1

There are approximately 25 million people in the greater Mumbai metro area. If you pick the address of an apartment building there I reckon you might slip through the cracks.

      • Good saying my friend - hope you not from Mumbai

    • Street: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Int'l Airport Rd

Lots of people live there, so I would say no issues.

    • -1

I reckon a million people live on that road in India.

  • +1

the sellers ratings have a 59% positive rating in the last 12 months, which means 41% of feedback was negative in the last 12 months. Cancelling my order until other people confirm that they got it to work.

    • Worked for me, took way longer than 15 mins though for code to be sent, took nearly an hour. I followed instructions which were clear and got the result. Shoot your shot

      • I received my code too, not a scam.

  • Doesn't spotify lock you out if you're using your account in a different country to what it is set to?

    • It wont lock you out if you have a spotify premium membership, doesnt matter what country

    • You're thinking of Netflix

  • -4

Does setting the region have to be permanent?
Do you always have to run VPN AND
Does it do anything to access or function?

  • How long till the code arrives?

    • 12 mins from order confirmation to code email.

  • Can you change your Spotify location back to Australia after redeeming the gift cards and turning off the vpn? Or is it best to leave the location in India?

    • +2

Don't change it. It will reduce the sub.

I just went to do it, but it changed from next payment in June of 2025 to December of 2024.

      • Thanks for that info. I'll leave it as is.

      • Does that mean you can do 1 year fine then?

        • If you redeem 18 months, you can get roughly a year, yes.

  • Just got codes in email

  • Code arrived. Redeemed. Thanks, OP!

  • No matter what I do, it doesn't seem like I can change my country till after my AU $12.99 monthly premium churns. Any tips?

    • Having same prob. Any tips?
