  • Makes me sleep better knowing that KBR doesn't think that "malware" was the cause of the outage. FML.

"We really want to give them something that they will value that demonstrates how much we care, how sorry we are."

BS and she knows it. All she cares about is her bottom line. Apologies OP, but as a long-standing Optus customer, this is the last straw. 200GB should be more like $200. This a terrible "compensation" offer. Maybe I'll join one of those class actions.

    FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFk

    I don't see a "deal" here

    Hahahaha.
Poor attempt to repay customers for your F up.

The CEO needs to step down and be more serious about monetary compensation rather than this cheap stuff…

    • +1

If she steps down then Gladys Berejiklian (Former failed NSW Premier now Senior Optus Executive) will likely step into her role meaning a no win scenario, best case scenario is just to completely boycott Optus altogether

      • +1

haha yea true Gladys coming back to top by currupting some technical fault (after covid disasters). Who knows may be she even sponsered this technical fault - so called very technical failure (just like how data breach was a extremely sophesticated attack according to Hacktus) ?

I'd rather have the Boost Cashback deals x5 per week and make profits lololol

  • They tried.. poor effort from Optus..

  • Waiting for amaysim's move. I think they're quite large on customer base and with Optus owning Amaysim now, it ia but natural that Amaysim's customers need to get some similar kind of compensation too.

MNvO users got nothing. This offer is useless for small businesses too.

  • Come on, offer something more realistic please? A month free postpaid or recharge for prepaid? I heard some place cannot call emergency and what if there was a somebody suffering life threatening?

  • Not a good year for Optus.

Data hacks scandal beginning of the year and now this.

Ok but.. what sort of compo for the people and businesses on optus nbn who had no connection etc.. who already had unlimited data on those plans?? Get any compo??

And had to use up all their data on their boost mobile sims…? Why don’t they work with all those telcos and get the 200gb added to those telco plans too..

  • A friend who is an Amaysim user has just received an email from Optus. Apparently, Optus has given her an additional 60GB to be used between 24/11 and 31/12!

  • Didn't care about the outage, but definitely a slap in the face and move backwards with a useless 200gb data bonus.

  • Amaysim is giving unlimited calls and text till end of the year as compensation.

Useless for the most of customers, people are not using that much data.
