  • Do these still have issues/crashes during some games?
    Or have they been fixed?

    • Basically as games are released they have a period of instability till Intel fixes them … They aren't are ready with new games releases as NVIDIA and AMD… But seem to be continually fixing old and new stuff and improving performance… I would still stay away unless your a tinkerer and don't mind mucking around with computer hw…

  • AMD's ROCm team is the joke of the century. They've been teasing "releases" since before intel dGPUs was even an idea in anyone's head, and still got beat to Windows release.

Love the salty OzB'er lurking around who negs any post critical about AMD's diabolical AI support

7900 XT support in ROCm was just released a few days ago, almost a year after the card was launched

Still no official support for 7600, 7700 XT, 7800 XT and APU's

  • Would I be crazy to run this with an AMD CPU and a 4K monitor with AMD FreeSync?

Been eyeing off 7800 XT / 7900 XT / 7900 XTX, hopeful for Black Friday sale but honestly find it hard to justify the prices of GPU's these days.

    • Chatgpt has a great response but it wont be good for gaming at 4k if that's what you're after, nothing sub 1000 dollars really is unless all you play is minecraft/indie games. 4k just takes too much power to game at.

    … AMD CPU

    No issues

… 4K monitor with AMD FreeSync?

    No issues, VRR supported

… find it hard to justify the prices of GPU's these days.

What are you using the GPU for?

RTX = plug and play gaming, plug and play AI, highest price
RX = plug and play gaming with some quirks, garbage AI, 1 tier cheaper pricing than NV
ARC = selected gaming with more quirks than AMD, good AI, 2-3 tiers cheaper pricing than NV

There are also edge cases like the Arc A310/380 that are the best value AV1 encoding cards

For Intel software support, see the progression of the Intel software yourself here

Quality is improving very quickly because the same Intel drivers will be used for the upcoming 15th Gen iGPU and Battlemage dGPU

Yep… I complained to Amazon about the "Black Friday Deal" pricing changing. They told me to return the card (free of charge) and order another one at the lower price. I don't understand what they can't refund the difference. The item was in a Victorian warehouse too.

    • Where are you seeing this?
      I only see the 750 8GB
