Nicely balanced laptop with a bright OLED screen. If the battery is anywhere in the 12 hours plus range. It seems like a perfect work/study laptop. Web browsing sits at around 9.5 according to this review https://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-VivoBook-15X-OLED-M3504-L…

oof, these are no longer the light weight power horses….

    • +4

      Dude it's a 15" laptop with a GPU….

      • +2

Not sure you understand what an iGPU is mate…

      • Yeah this doesn't have a dGPU.
The GPU is built into the 7730
It's still ok and decent performing (not for any current games though) but no GPU is present here

      • No GPU, but I did think it was the 14. That's not as bad. Still heavy for a light laptop series.

  • Damn good deal. Is it touchscreen?

  • not 300nits 👍🏻

Geez - thats an old CPU by now.

    • 13.3" vs 15.6"

      • yeah ideally i want 14 so i really dont mind teh screen size as long as its less than 16'' but apart from screen size does HP looks more promising as an overall package?

        • +1

I don't think either of them look more promising - it just depends on personal needs. 43Wh on the HP vs 50Wh on the ASUS, IPS vs OLED. Overall I agree they are similar but it just depends on if you want a more portable device or something with a bigger and brighter screen.

Personally, I would go for the ASUS over the HP because it is more promising for me as an overall package regarding my own needs, but again it's hard to say which one is more promising overall and you'll have to consider what you're buying the laptop for

  • The Acer Swift X OLED deal for $997 was better.

    • +1

      But Acer….

      • -1

You really think an Asus Vivobook is going to provide that much competition in reliability?

        • +2

A little yeah… Maybe not night and day difference…

    • unobtainable though :(
