          Tried with two people using live chat and they wouldn't do it, got a aldi sim and ported and back in about 2 hours

            @[Deactivated]: I had to do the same last time I tried this (a year ago). They wouldn't let me recharge with the new SIM (I tried live chat several times with no luck), so I just planned to port out and back.

            In my case, the porting glitched out and I spent the best part of two days on hold and going in circles on live chat before it was sorted out. Not the best way to save $50.

      Yes, I did this a few days ago via live chat. The person who did it didn't even make me swap the SIM cards… She just activated the credit on the existing SIM. In the past I have had to swap the SIMs, but have always activated the credit successfully.

          I think it depends on the agent you get on the day. This is the first time in 3 years I didn't have to swap the SIM!

            @eraser215: Same, on my 3rd and never an issue. Great setup, I'd never recharge personally unless totally out of data.

            Just start another chat if you don't get the desired outcome. Worst case scenario get a $2 sim on another network and port out first. Don't leave it till the last day either.

        Can confirm that chat still works. I bought this SIM on 7-dec and it got delivered today (Sydney). I sent a chat message to Boost and they added the credit to my current SIM. No need to port out/in!

        That is unusual, to be able to get it done via live chat, And to not change the sim. Boost is becoming less generous to allow the use of starter kits as a recharge from others comments.

We do not regard a code replacement that is entirely under the control of the seller for $2 to be a genuinely different offer. The previous offer was sold out, then restocked and the offer continued. All these changes are easily accommodated by editing the deal post.

        It's not a heap of data to be honest mate.
        I think most people would be able to use up 130GB over a year. Sounds like a post paid plan would be more suitable. The boost ones are pretty good for the price and Telstra (4G/5G) network.

      Yes, you can activate the sim anytime before the expiry date (04/01/25) to get full 12 months plan. The deadline of 29/01/24 is to get 10GB bonus data only.
