Shipping fee: $10. Is it worth? I havent used this brand before. Any opinion would be appreciated.

    • Brand is fine. They sell at kmart

    • +1

I must have churned through at least 8 pairs by now with kids.
Zoggs is fine for casual swimming. Speedo is only marginally better for their basic goggles range, but their larger sports style youth ones are by far the best.

      • I had a different experience with Speedo Google's, there by far the worst goggles I've ever owned. Bought a few times and never again

        • I swap between zoggs and speedos and find them both fine.
Depends a bit on the shape of the goggles and face.

          PS:
Try "goggling" the word "their" 🤣

          • +9

@FarKen: Or you could try googling "they're"?

            • @quop: @quop
              That'll teach me 😂
<cough> Just checking if anyone was awake </cough>

        • Been using speed opals for a very very long time. Over 20 years!

    • Last time I bought they were $10 at KMart.

    • +5

Try this Japanese goggles - View Swim V7104 - I've had a few of these and work flawless.

$16 from view site free shipping.

  • +6

    Shipping kills it for me…

    • +1

$20 for these including shipping is a steal.
Can't expect them to pay for shipping at this price point, it's not Amazon Prime.

      • +9

use the code LASTCHANCE for free delivery

        • Not valid

@julz15: it worked for me https://imgur.com/a/wSWruTN

            minimum $20 spend

            • +1

@babiguling: Looks like you need to order at least two pairs (minimum $20?) to use the code

              • +5

@367: yes correct, I initially bought 2 at first, that's why it worked. then I tested with only 1 pair and it doesn't work.
but hey it's better to get 2 pairs than paying for delivery.

            • @babiguling: Minimum spend

        • Thanks. Worked for me on $60 order.

          • @UncleRico: Thx. Managed to get 2 pairs. Haha looks like stock going quick. Model i wanted kept going out of stock. Get in quick.

        • Thanks, added a pair of polarised to my order, then used the code. Paid $25 for 2 pairs.

        • $80 order value, but code 'LASTCHANCE' not working for me to SA

          • +1

@MARSAXV: maybe they have fixed it. code was from 2022 thread
you've missed the last chance to use the LAST CHANCE :p
            Just kidding

        • Not working for me even with $40 worth of stuff in my cart. (QLD).

  • +6

I have Zogg Predator Flex Polarised Ultra Goggles which is $15 now. I purchased it for $30 during black friday sale so I say $10 shipping is still a deal. I purchased the regular size and I do appreciate it has polarised lenses. I tried Speedo and Decathlon before. I didn't like them cause they just kept leaking water.. This one after 2 trips to the pool so far, it hasn't leak yet. In term of fit, I have round face and low nose bridge and it seems to fit me well. I do appreciate it has polarised lens so I guess my eyes are protected from UV lights bouncing off from water.

    • Sounds like you do a bit of swimming, you might want to try the - View Swim V7104 -. There extremely comfortable, and they Don't leak. I've had a few sets of them, I'd say a pair would last around 2 years. That's swimming 5+ hours a week. I've never had a view Goggle leak on me had around 5 pairs, I've owned all the other brands and none come close to comfort/leakage

      • Brettick loves it

  • +1

well apparently there's indoor & outdoor goggles.

    • +10

      @M00Cow Don't forget beer goggles.

      • -4

        • +5

More likely, it's how many of our fathers met your mother…

because the sun reflects off the water outdoors.

I need swimming googles for cutting onions

    • Try standing back from the board and not cutting the roots and basal plate off.

      • +7

And also your knife needs to be sharp

      • and wear an N95 mask.

    • not the worst idea

    • +5

I've done this so many times and my partner laughs every time but I laugh at her when she's crying from cutting onions so who's really laughing now?

      • +9

The both of yous, I guess?

    • Airflow is the answer

      • +1

Height is also an answer - my 5’ something wife struggles, I barely notice at almost 6’

        • +1

Increase airflow have fan right next to you

      • +1

Yep. I cut onions under the rangehood.

    • Breathe through your mouth or hold a large mouthful of water while cutting

    • Did you look that up?

  • +27

ZOGGS.COM wants to use your camera.

    Wtf?

    • Go naked

    • +22

      "predator" goggles

    • +3

Maybe there is a virtual "try on" feature on the page like other online glasses stores.

    • Did you choose to fit ?

    • Size chart uses the camera to determine fit.

    • -5

Yeah this is horrrifying. Assume it's for virtual "try on", but still horrifying to receive out of the blue

      • +3

Horrifying? Why not spare yourself the horrow and just decline when it asks permission to access camera?

Horrifying is what happens when your camera is being accessed without your knowledge. Reckon I've had a few OnlyFans pages rethinking their subscriber acquisition campaigns…

      • +1

It's asking you for permission - that's the opposite of horrifying 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • +1

Don't seem to be many on sale actually

  • +1

any reasonable ones with prescriptions? i rmb amazon au used to haev some for like 20ish but cant find anymore

    • +1

I was trying some on at Decathlon the other day, they were called Optical Correction goggles.

    • I bought from eBay previously. Plenty available to choose from for around that pricing.

  • Probably worth $20 selling at 50% off plus $10 delivery or $20 normal price with free delivery.

  • I've tried most goggle brands over the last 13 years, pool and ocean swims. I've ended up with Fiski, by far the most comfortable, no panda eyes and no leaks. No issues over a 20km ocean race

    • Which model? Fiski hunter for $25?

  • Thanks got a couple of pairs

  • Thanks OP it would only let me get 4 pairs and I wanted 5 but they look good.

  • +4

I don't want to look like a predator at the public pool, thanks.

  • just a word of warning, the nose bridge is not replaceable so if you use these a lot and don't look after the goggles (e.g. folding them onto themselves) you'll find these breaking soon after.

at $10 though, its a steal and you could throw them away afterwards

    • They cost $20

      • -1

They actually cost $10 it's a steal! I just bought 10 for $100, will resell most for a profit.

  • +8

I’ve seen the movie many times, never saw the predator wear goggles. Maybe I missed it.

  • +1

website Ozb'd? No payment options offered at checkout

    • Placed two orders, first time got only CC option, next order have paypal and apple pay also. So try again.

      • Thanks, yeah got there in the end just reloading a few times

  • +2

Woeked for me. Got four pairs. Our whole family will now have matching goggles!

  • Thanks OP.

  • -2

Wear them tomorrow… “it is Wednesday my dudes”

    IYKYK

  • All payment methods unavailable now?

    • Never mind, worked after about 15 mins of retries. RIP their site

  • Is the small for children and regular for adults?

    • +1

They also have the child predator ones if that's what you're after

      • Nice.

  • I put through an order this morning however I have not received any order confirmation emails from Zoggs. I did sign up to be a subscriber (and got the welcome email and $20 code). I also received an email in Italian saying: "ABBIAMO NOTATO CHE HAI LASCIATO QUALCOSA NEL TUO CARRELLO…" meaning "you have items left in your cart…"

I did enter all my credit card details and checked out accordingly. But i do notice they have not deducted from my credit card yet…
I assumed I was going to receive an email so I didn't pay note of the page where it says your 'order has gone through'

For those who ordered, did you guys get an order confirmation email?
    TIA

    • +1

My order worked fine, got the confirmation email and cc was charged.

    • +1

I got order confirmation email pretty quickly after. Paid using PayPal.

    • +1

Thanks op. Order went through, credit card charged and confirmation email received.

    • +1

Thanks for replying - let me reorder! I must have stuffed up somewhere..

  • thanks OP, hope it all goes through.

  • Used code 'LASTCHANCE' to get a pair of small and regular Predator Titanium Goggles for $20 delivered.

    • +1

Didn't work for me.. Did you try just now?

      • Order went through about 3 hours ago deliver to QLD.

  • Already have two pairs from years ago, bought for like $30+ each. This is a bargain. Strangely, the indoor pool goggles fit great but the polarised didn't despite both being predators.

  • +1

I'm a predator, this is perfect for me. Thanks OP!

  • +1

LastChance code doesn't work for me unfortunately.
