  • Great deal on a great small and portable mitre saw, and even better considering the bonus battery and charger are roughly worth $350.

  • Good deal! Ever think makita would do something like this?

  • Damm. I don’t need this though but still damm.

  • nice.. was looking for a portable mitre saw.. this looks like it'll do the job decently well thanks for the post.. ordered one ^^). i usually run makita, but makita never go on sale.. bosch i see go onsale online often so try my luck.. this seems like a pretty cool saw.
wish this came with the 12ah battery.. but atleast this is dual bevel which good.. big thanks to woodwork4kids for finding this!!! my search is over… for now muhahaha

My local bunnings cleared these out for $706 just before christmas
      https://www.bunnings.com.au/makita-18vx2-brushless-190mm-7-1…

      • Dam yeah bunnings is awesome for deals

        • Yeah, I ended up buying the AC powered AEG 254mm compound saw for $356 instead from same clearance, really happy with it, shadow line is great.
Had to resist buying a few other deals, they had an AEG 5 piece combo (impact drill, hammer drill, angle grinder, cicular saw, reciprocating saw, 2 4ah batteries & charger) for $560 but I don't need another eco system.
They have had the Ryobi 254mm 18v compound mitre saw for $336 from same clearance, not as popular clearly, they started with 5 and still have 2 left last I checked, it is skin only which would put some people off.

  • sydney tools have the exact same saw on promotion but for $948.95… i wonder if they will price match?.. would have saved me the $50 extra big bulky postage fee.. didnt want to risk it going out of stock and dont have time to go to sydney tools this week.

Argh…… So hard to resist! So much bargain to be had!

    • Same here, but I am now looking away.

    Username checks out

  • Bought this saw and offer from a similar deal a few months ago. Make sure you check the bonus delivery - mine didn’t include the charger …

    • +1

My charger showed up about two weeks after the battery.

  • Still waiting for the gliding mitre saw, has a free battery and charger offer, which I don't need.

  • Ahhh just swapped to Bosh!! This would be handy, now i need to get rid of my Metabo Induction Workshop drop n slide saw. Shes a biggins and draws more power than an old 1080ti. Now to sell it before this lil Bosh goes OOS

  • The images of the saw with the person cutting seem to not match the saw being sold? Could someone confirm which saw is for sale? One has a folding mechanism, the other is a sliding mechanism…

Looks like they used the 305mm model in some of the pictures.

      • This. Even in the product photos it's the 305mm version. The 216 is much the same. But just have eto make two cuts..

  • Delivery's 50 bucks so I try and see if Sydney Tools will price match.

  • Not bad. If you are in the Ozito ecosystem, they have one. I picked up one yesterday, great unit!

  • Aren’t these sister company of bunnings, sure u can just get special order to match price

  • Are you guys all DIYers or carpenters buying this saw? Dont need it at the moment but think it could come in handy in the future

    • +1

I can see this thing would have been very handy when I was building my deck or any remodeling.

I guess that this is primarily targeted at being a portable jobsite saw, however being lightweight, portable and cordless makes it excellent for moving around the house and yard for different tasks, or for setting it up on a workstand if you don't have a permanent mitre saw station. Do note the diameter of the blade however and the limitations that it creates in relation to maximum cutting depth.

Looks like total tools conveniently took this model down on their site assume to stop price matching lol.

  • Any idea of the battery capacity that’s included?

    • The old promotion that finished last year was for a 12.0Ah battery, but currently it is 8.0Ah for the Biturbo mitre saws. Keep in mind that this is a redemption so if you don't have a Bosch battery or charger already you could have a non-functional tool for up to two months while you wait for the redemption items to arrive.

Seems like toolkitdepot (and few others) provide the full kit and not require redemption.

        • +1

Ah. Total Tools and Sydney Tools usually do the same.

  • How common are bevel cuts in carpentry?
