      • Amazing, thank you so much!! Have a nice day

  • How long does it normally got tracked for shopback?

    • “Tracked in 2 days, redeemable in 95 days”

  • Each recharge has to be $35 to get the 45GB data right?

  • What's everyone's experience is like of these actually getting paid by Shopback? I stopped using Shopback many months ago after quite a few bad expereinces. Have they gotten better?

    • +3

In my experience getting paid is ok, just make sure you get a tracking confirmation within a couple of days. If you don't get the confirmation you could be out of luck. After you lodge a missing cashback they'll make excuses to avoid paying (like "the transaction tracking failed", well, duh..).

      • cant believe my first menulog order with shopback cashback didnt get cashback appproved (it was $1) just sent a screenshot the other day of the order (which was paid in full, and delivered) and they processed teh $1 cashback no worries lol

  • +1

Thanks OP. All good now. The boost website was a bit late to update. Has anyone got their CB tracked yet? Bought about 10 mins ago and still not tracked (sometimes they do track almost immediately).

    • Bought at 9:22, still not tracked.

      • Mine tracked 2 hours after purchasing

  • +1

    Thanks OP

  • Hey guys, quick question.
Is this $12 deal for first recharge only?

    • $12 to start your first 28 days only (starter kit), the first time you recharge after this will be $35 or whichever plan you select to move to after the first 28 days expires.

      • and how do you keep up after that? trying to understand - do people jump up to grab another deal? else it would come expensive.

        • Port to another provider at 28 days later, with whichever provider has the next best deal.
Too late now anyway, deal is over.

        • -2

I have a dual sim phone, keep my original number with aldi for a year, and using the free sims for as long as I can and swap them out every 28 days.

          • @drspy00: Aldi is now $5 for 60 days.
Amaysim is $10 for 365 days and starter is often is half price.

            • @ozilicious: Amaysim good for an incoming number but don't get any inclusions so will burn through that $10 pretty quick if you use data or calls.

              • @bamzero: Right… that's why we're discussing parking a number and using Boost sims in dual sim phone.

    • yes, first month after activation

  • Still suffering with the "something went wrong" curse. Have tried the methods being mentioned (obviously not all at once): entering all bogus details, paying with never new card, entering all details exactly as per Telstra id, entering address manually, using new device; still no success.

    • Same. I think they blacklist us all

    • Try adding A after unit number or street number, it worked for me before when I got something went wrong all the time. This time I used my regular details and order went through.

      • Tried that to no avail.

    • Same same, for months…

  • -1

I keep getting technical issues error after I entered credit card details. Anyone facing same issue?

    • Yep happens all the time

    • got the same issue here.

    • if anyone think they blacklisted for ordering too many sims try cashrewards minus $3 not for profit offer surprised it worked for me, tried shopback didn't work (no successful shopback attempts since late october), of course x2 sims in one day probably retriggered it, but trying figure out all the triggers

  • +3

Shopback lost me when they didn't pay out the last cashback. Unfortunately, seems you can't lodge a claim outside of 30 days from the date of transaction.

Just be wary you might lose $18 to gain $6.

    • Did the last cashback tracked correctly?

      • +1

nope. but it showed the click activity which in my mind should be enough to track cashback?
Don't know what happened but it's my fault i guess for not following up within 30 days.

    • +1

Yeah, I've had terrible experiences with Shopback in the past. Never had an issue with CashRewards though

      • +1

True, cashrewards ran a similar promo to this last time and the cashback tracked in real-time with an email confirmation each time

    • +1

You can contact them via email and they can add your cashback manually.

      • Thanks mate, link is broken though!

        • +1
          • @jimojr: reached out, got the same lame response unfortunately. seems support isn't willing to make a manual good will/correction

  • Oh no, just got something went wrong for the first time :-(
Should I try again? It's been working ok for me in the past.

    • i'd recommend waiting a month with no attempts

  • 'Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions.'
Does that mean if I want to buy 2 Sims, I have to make 2 separate payments?

    • Yes that's right, never add 2 Sims to cart otherwise it won't track

      • I have the Shopback extension on chrome, that says activated, will it still track?

Unfortunately already paid for them before I saw the special notes

        • It may track, but it won't get approved if you bought 2 sims in one transaction.

Best to use the app, better chance of success

          • @Kallo: I see, thanks. I have requested a refund for them, more Sims for those who didnt get it I guess haha

  • I made the mistake of forgetting that my vpn was on once. I haven't been able to buy since. Now it's always "Something went wrong". Tried changing a combination of details including manual entries but still the same error. Looks like it's time for me to give up on boost cash backs!

    • I've never used a VPN but I got the same error.

    • Try finding a Wi-Fi network, then open a private window and sign in to ShopBack and purchase. From my observation, ip matters the most, cookies follows.

      • Tried heaps of different things. New name, manual addresses, phone numbers, IPs, multiple cards even a totally new device with different user details. Still no go. Think once it black lists, it takes a while for it to reset. Just not sure exactly what combination of details they use to flag and ban. Thanks for the advice though.

      • so is wifi ip more favorable than mobile ip?

        • should be same, probably safer to get new ip each order
switch off router long as possible more chance your old ip won't stick
of course, won't work if you've got static-ip or isp makes dynamic ones way more sticky
then mobile data is best, switching on/off device should almost always get new ip

    • I'm having trouble with all of the IP addresses I've tried here (overseas at the moment). I've also tried a couple of proxies / VPNs with no luck.

Any idea of a proxy / VPN that might be worth a try?

      • You won't get cashback if you use VPN anyway, what's the point?

        • It doesn't say that.

          • @Its4me: Often the problem with VPNs is they have adblockers so high chance of it not tracking so generally best avoided.

      • Let us know if you're able to purchase once you return to AU. This is how my problems started with them thinking I was from overseas.

  • Does anyone know how you can view how many active sims you have? I used to be able to see them all on the app but it just only shows the one in the phone.

I've messaged them to remove a few numbers and it's hit and miss if they actually remove them.

    • +1

Same here since several app updates ago… thought it was just a problem with my account… told them multiple times and no one seemed to care

Lucky I had a record of all the numbers I have activated so I could still as the CS to remove them when there were too many.

But the last time (at the end of last year) the CS told me they couldn't even see my account/ those numbers on my account. Was told they'd escalate the account issue & that someone would get back to me (& of cos not).

      • All mine (which I register to the same account) show in two places:
        1) The Boost App on phone.
        2) The Boost Website.

        • All of mine are supposedly registered to the same account too. I always sign in before activating to avoid having to enter my details (& the system treating it as an update to my details).

    • +1

I've had the expired sims drop from the app a few times.
For me it's the app either logging me out and/or completely forgetting my account details.

When this happens, the app only shows the current active sim.
Once logged back in a verified etc, the expired sims re-appear.

      • Thanks, i signed in again with username instead of pin. Once it got through I could see all the old sims again and boost did remove the ones I asked them to.

  • Bought 4 before the something went wrong error 🥸

  • If you just want to purchase the sim cards and do not care about the bonus 20GB or cashback can you wait longer than 30 days to activate?

    • No reason why not. Expiry on the most recent one I got is 21 Nov 2025, but why bother buy as they sell these cards all the time at discount.

    • If you don't care about the cashback, you can just buy whatever is discounted at coles/woolworths. Each week at least one prepaid sim will be on promo.

  • CR has been 100% reliable for me.
Now I'm taking a leap of faith and give SB a shot for one boost sim.
Either a $6 profit or a $12 cost and some data to use.

    I'm feeling lucky.

    • SB tracked correctly in 45 minutes. Looking good so far.

  • Picked up $1.20 in Beem Bucks too without even trying, ufknbewdy

    • Yes, it’s a great way to sweeten this deal by getting an extra 10% back

    • Confusing question there i.e. what has your first phone number got to do with second phone?.
Just grab this SIM as a new number for the second phone (no porting required) and leave your existing sim/number in first phone.

    • Porting = bringing an existing number from one telco to another.

If you want to keep your existing number on the current telco, just op for a new number when activating the new sim.

Which physical phone gets which number is controlled by which sim you put into each phone.

  • +3

    All 6 tracked

  • New customer only? If I had bought 28-days sim in the past then used and expired, am I a new customer?

    • +2

New sim with new number = new customer

  • Ordered: 08:18
    Tracked 09:20

    • was it $12 at 08:18?

      • No, it was $35 until 9am, unless they are from WA, Qld. Only thing that would make sense.

      • Yes $12, 08:18 AWST

Who Can Still Buy Boost Sim without Getting "Something Went Wrong"

    • I had "something went wrong" when trying to put in the order today. But tried again and worked.

    • Ive bought about 8 in the past with these deals and got 6 today with no issues.

  • Mine tracked 2 hours after purchasing

  • Does the purchase has to be made from SB website or app for cashback?

  • Good deal. I have been using these sims for around a year now so not paying a cent for phone plus getting profit. I would prefer using them rather than just activating and wasting but I am waiting to make sure all the other ones pay out. will have to activate them all if anything happens. I don't think the 30 days is enforcable and its worked for Me so far.

    • So you've had payouts even activating after 30 days?

      • In the past maybe but heard boost is cracking down on this as per the rep.

  • App failed but browser worked. Tracked in 30 minutes.

  • +1

I don't understand which sim card I'm buying. There are none that show 25gb, just 45gb $35 prepaid sim for $12.

    • Thats the one. Its a promotion for 45gb, plus if you recharge it theres a deal too.

    • 25GB + 20GB = 45GB

Mods changed the title recently on the previous deal and I copied the format across

  • Anyone having issues with cashrewards ones meant to have approved already but just shoes "Due" and 05 Feb. This was for the $21 ones last year.

  • +1

Bought at 12:42PM and tracked at 1:05PM

  • -1

Just realized @gotyourback has not paid my ebay plus signup bonus from Nov 23. And now they say it has passed 30 day period and would not give cashback :(

    • +1

Hey mate, sorry to hear, we are limited by a 30 day window to lodge missing Cashback as part of our agreement with our merchants, so do keep an eye on Cashback in case tracking doesn't come through from the store, we're always happy to reach out to them to get that fixed up within the window.

  • Not able to buy. Something wrong again eventhough I changed all my details :(
