    Finally

    • +1

There’s also a Westpac upsize incoming for tomorrow too

      • Dont have westpac. Too many things to worry about already. Such as just bought a $100 7/11 gift card on SB, however, unable to load it to my google wallet as I just found out my wallet is suspended for god knows why.

      • +1

        Tomorrow as in Wednesday?

        • Yup, the usual Westpac Wednesday bonuses

      • Care to tell us what tomorrows westpac deal will be so we can work out if we want to buy today or wait for tomorrow?

        • +2

I don’t have the details sorry, all I saw was Boost Mobile logo in the carousel banner via ShopBack app

The $6 profit for this deal will end today anyway

      • +11

Hey mates, sorry fpr the confusion here, that was actually an incorrect banner I'm afraid! This offer posted is still good to go, but there won't be any Westpac offer tomorrow I'm afraid. Have pulled the banner from online so thanks heaps for flagging! Apologies again mates.

        @Dealzallday @Webber000

        • +1

Thanks for letting us know, I was waiting to see what deal tomorrow brings but looks like I'll just pull the trigger for this now :)

  • Let the rush begin!!

    • make sure it's the $35 25GB one when you rush

      • 45GB

How do people horde these sim cards when they need to be activated within 30 days to be cashback eligible?

    • +6

They don’t. They just activate them all within 30 days and bag the profits. For me I have 5 hotspot devices that’s needing of some sim

    • +8

Looks like this guy's setup in the video has a stack of Boost Mobile sim cards - https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-01-17/nsw-court-text-messag…

Maybe that's how they activate and use them? :S

      • +1

gateway SMS would be the way to go? Crazy doing it this way.

        • +1

Gateway/A2P messaging has a higher chance of being cut off by the network quickly. Running retail SIMs in a SIM box can fly under the radar for longer.

      • +7

Looks like he has been stacking deals. Cashback and up to 10 years free accommodation.
        /$

        • 😅

    • I have 2 tablets that have sims, and I use my spare phone for random gaming so that's handy.

    • +2

A horde of OzBargainers like to hoard Boost Mobile triple-SIM kits? I horde that might be the case, but until I see the pics it didn’t happen

    • I just use once a month as data. awesome having a dual sim phone :)

    • +3

I've never activated mine within 30 days and I always get the cashback.

  • +6

    Something went wrong?

    • +1

Deal is not available yet. It starts tomorrow morning (6th Tuesday)

      • +6

@DevlicK You must be new here ;) Lets just say Turd wasn't talking about when the deal starts :)
The 'Something went wrong' Boost Mobile lore will become clear to you sooner or later, and when you finally experience it first-hand you will wish you hadn't

    • Remember to screw everything up for something to go right. Many wrongs make a right, when it comes to the quasi-fraudulent excesses encouraged by OzBargain

    • +7

I have found a way around this issue, who can I share this with?

My address has been blacklisted (when you search for it it doesn't appear), so I realised how to use it anyway.

The ONLY part that does "Something Wrong" for me is the Address part, so, start writing your address, and when you cannot see it in the automatic search, at the bottom, you can see "I cannot find my address" or something similar, click that and enter your address manually. This allows you to keep ordering and avoid the "Something Wrong".

      • This actually worked for me. Thanks

      • Tried and didnt work

      • That wouldn't work for me as they can never generate my address & I have always had to enter it manually anyway. (I can search for my address in the drop down but when i select it, another unrelated address in the same suburb will come up.)

        • same as you . does not work for me regardless

        • Another issue comes from Card being used too many times, do you have a different/new Australia Card you can use to place an order?

      • Worked for me too!

      • Didn't work for me

      • Legend. Worked.

      • I've never had this problem until today and I've ordered dozens of these SIMs, the auto complete found my address but I selected manual and then it went through

  • Cashback is applicable only to New Boost customers.

How do they figure this out? Your ID?

    • +4

If its the same as before it means new sim activation as opposed to recharging old number

    • It's not what it says. As long as you activate a new number you'll be fine

      • they can always change, so just gamble as always

  • i love money

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

  • Ooo later

  • Can I buy it via Shopback app?

    • +6

Only if you want it to track

  • -1

I purchased like 10 in the past 5 months and thought i go back check the cashback. I only found 3 cashback.
And i thought ill check my email for order confirmation. Only got 1 order confirmation.

  • What's the limit to how many sims/services one can have activate per person?

    • +2

i believe 35 per account was the limit

      • Thanks QP

      • Is that 35 in total, as in you only get 35 in your lifetime for that account,, or is it 35 active sims?

        • +3

My understanding is that you can contact customer service and request the removal of dormant numbers, then go again.
35 is the total the account can hold at any time.

      • I got blocked from activating when there was about 15

  • +1

Cashrewards still haven’t approved my november cashback yet. Shopback approved it a fair few days ago

    • +3

Yup, I’ve one pending that has an estimated approval of tomorrow
I think Cashrewards is struggling, normally these would have been approved by end of January

    • Okay that's interesting information to hear, that SB have approved Nov purchases.

    • Its showing up for me as due yesterday, but not approved yet.

      • Boost Mobile
        November 7th
        Estimated approval: 10/02/2024 (~4 days)

        Total spent: AUD$17.00

        $23.00
        Cashback
        PENDING

thats what shows up for me. Maybe the new Ozb CR rep can help?

  • Haven't used sb in a while as it it's been a hit and miss, what's best way to track? App? Desktop?

    • App on mobile data has never failed me

      • Ok might try that then, cheers

    • -1

I reckon I’m 100% tracked thru the app over many years. Never missed one (except for bonus Westpac not being calculated properly). People who always have issues must be doing something different or wrong.

  • Is it me or do I only see $5.50 cashback?

  • It's showing up as $35 for me rather than $12?
This is the one that's marked as 45GB on their website right?

    • +2

      It says in the post.

    • +2

Curious what you think 📅 6 Feb 9:00am–6 Feb Today means?

      • +3

To be fair the time is in small print at the very end amongst all the tags and “report”, “bookmark” stuff that’s on every post so it can be hard to miss - at least on mobile

    • +1

Don’t blame the OP mate :(

  • +2

Trying to activate one of these Sims last week from a previous deal was a disaster. Kept getting a something went wrong message. Contacted live chat and they wouldn't activate either, they gave me a case number and made me call to activate. Phone call took 45 min include waiting time. If anyone knows a way around this please share. I have activated around 10-15 Sims in the past 12 months but I'm sure some on here have done a lot more.

    • +1

I have found that activation gets harder - seems to be because I have done it more times? Or maybe just coincidence

    • Did you make any error during your last purchase or activation such as wrong payment details or incorrect date of birth etc…. ?

      • I don't believe so, as I said I've activated many Sims before without any issues. None of my details have changed recently.

    • Live chat were very comfortable activating in the past. Maybe keep retrying live chat a few times to see if you can find a helpful agent.

      • I have had happen twice that something legitimately went wrong during the activation process so the sim activation stayed hanging 'in progress'. When I contacted CS They couldn't activate it either and escalated to second level IT. Got a job number and it was resolved about 48hrs later.

  • +1

Is it just me or it is still showing $35 for the 45GB sim? Its certainly within the promo time window now.

  • +1

$35 sim remains $35 on Boost website at 9.06am. Do we need a promo code?

  • +1

Deal active now, Boost have updated their website

  • Hey guys, it’s my first time purchasing this. While checking out it’s asking for personal details and phone number. I am purchasing them for my family who is visiting next week and they will be using it. Will I need to enter their details for activation purpose? TIA

    • +2

No your details are fine as purchasing, those details are for delivery address, payment etc.
Activations on the other hand requires ID. You could just also do them in your name and all on the same account using your same ID seeing as they are only visiting.
